Why don't you respect the subjectivity of others and not treat them as solely means? This is a genuine question.

Your body will go into true starvation mode after about 48 hours. There's a metabolic shift once you run through all of your glycogen stores and you begin burning fat for fuel. This is called starvation all ketosis. You can enter into this ketotic state by consuming under 25-50g of carbs daily. It has been shown to have neurological benefits.

It'd honestly be foolish not to. Twitter is too big of an asset to leave alone.

I do love Evo psych and bio. I'm going to school for both. However, as I was reading the first few chapters it seemed to be things I already knew

There should be equality, not preference or marginalization. These ecclesiastical countries are fucked up, and lauding them for literally oppressing a whole gender isn't acceptable. I agree, it is absurd to have blind preferential treatment in spite of empirical evidence, but that doesn't make a fucking country that allows you to behead your wife for wanting a divorce.

Beautiful video - thanks for the post. This has inspired me to be far more careful where I put my dick as well as look into working at a daycare part time ( I swear that has nothing to do with putting my dick anywhere).

I think people can attempt to overlay new structures on top of biology, but it is inherently impossible to override hardware completely with software.

I do think it has to do with evolutionary biology. There is the inherent expectation that a male should be capable of defending himself, whereas a woman has no such extant biological expectation. For our propagation it is a necessity that males can defend themselves and others as well as pursue food in the hunt. For women, it comes down to them being able to rear children and assist with what is called "domestic" chores. I think on this issue it has a hell of a lot more to do with biology and ou…

Makeup sex is different. You already have a romantic involvement with that individual and your visceral sexual desires overcome the precipitant event. I think a difference in it is the perception of the sex in contrast to the intensity of disdain or simple frustration with the person. ...there is a difference between flirtatious anger and actual anger. If that makes sense. That's what I was getting at. The difference comes down to the motivations that led to the emotions being elicited. Albeit y…

I agree with you that an emphasis on strong feeling in one way or another is important, however, it is extremely important to ensure that negative emotion is provided in a constructive manner. It must have a purpose. If the purpose is only to the end of being hurtful or inciting anger, it is essentially useless. It isn't inherently bad. Nothing is.

Anger doesn't necessarily mean emotional attachment. It can very literally just be a mechanism to create separation between people. Go test this one out, I'm curious how your results pan out.

What the fuck kind of logic are you trying to convey with this statement? I implore you to elaborate on that. How do you have any grounds to state that oftentimes anger is correlated with sexual attraction?

I have noticed that it's a bell curve response. One or two drinks (hardly enough to cause much, if any, difference) is slightly better than when I am sober. Sometimes I simply become brash and blithe with such a small quantity. I have absolutely noticed that whenever I drink to even slight excess I lose my frame. I can't keep my intentions straight and end up having a less fruitful evening. Alcohol is more of a nervous habit for me. The idea always seems more tantalizing than the reality. But as…

Good post. I can relate, the part about being able to truly walk away is true. Unless you have experience there just isn't the capacity for that depth of discernment. What is SMV?

Magnanimously is definitely not the correct word to use in that context.

Absolutely. My next step is likely just expanding my circle. I need to do more approaches! It can be so difficult to do that, I don't know what it is. I have an issue getting psyched out (which is definitely not unique) before I approach. When I just act it goes far more smoothly.

All I am recommending is that this guy starts out with the basics. If he has no social life and is feeling depressed it is useful to go and talk to someone about it. I'm saying he should build up a life where he can feel happy. I am not saying therapy is the only thing that should be going on here. In his situation it is probably the most useful step toward a more fulfilling life. There's nothing wrong with going to therapy to "talk it out with a postgraduate." It's human contact that is constru…

Absolutely. The key thing about therapy is that they aren't the people that make you change. They are the people help you recognize what you need to put effort into. The real change happens every single fucking day when you are cutting teeth with new habits, up against those you have spent the last decade working up. I definitely agree that it's important to go out and talk and laugh with people. Laughter is so integral in growing into being comfortable in your skin. In India and other places ma…

I'm actually thinking this may end up being the case with this girl. She seems really chill, at the very least we will end up being friends. She wants to meet new people so I am definitely thinking she would be open to going out with me and exploring. I can absolutely imagine see lesbian friends as being great wingwomen.

Go to therapy. Pick up some hobbies. Go to therapy. Meet platonic friends. Go to therapy. Go to the gym. Go to therapy. Eat healthy, whole foods. Go to therapy. Start a mindfulness meditation practice. Go to therapy.

Absolutely this. I have been thinking about this a lot recently. This is the most important thing when it comes to having any sort of a relationship, be it sexual or otherwise. Safety is such a primal desire, and if you don't have a feeling of security with another individual it isn't something you can go on without; this is especially the case with women, which have evolved to be more vulnerable than their male counterpart. It truly comes down to a psychological sense of well-being produced by …

There were some pretty serious indications she was actually romantically involved with the girl she has listed as being in a relationship with.

Sometimes there can be resistance to such blatant enticements. The slut-shaming in our culture makes it somewhat taboo for some otherwise willing women to be so quick to bone.
