0	Need Advise Please. Not required. Everyone always gets wrapped up around that. Unless there's a court order in place stating that one parent MUST have custody at a certain time, there is no criminal offence. It must be specific, too. Exact days (April 14th) as opposed to 50%. And even if it has those specific days, unless the order specifically states in Police Enforceable (less than 10% do), it might as well be written in crayon. I'm not agreeing with the mother here. 0	I've heard about it, but it finally happened to me. Not towing the party line or anything. I've seen a lot of people sewer themselves by not talking to us. Providing a reasonable and likely statement can save you a ton of hassle. Now, that being said, I work in Canada. Ontario to be specific. But suspicious circumstances following an independent witness (credibility of the witness is admittedly questionable), provides grounds for investigative detention and depending on your location, arrest. 10	I've heard about it, but it finally happened to me. Cop here / MRA here. We don't get to pick. We're told to go, and we go. Usually with incorrect or incomplete information. Actions on scene are up to us. It sounds like this guy did ok. Asked a few questions. Can tell his boss there's no issue. No stupid arrests or charges.
