Whoa. Did she talk to you or inform her friends that she wanted to divorce him after his vascetomy? The way I see it is the divorcing wife wants to plan it out so that he husband can not have any more children ( this would divert resources from the soon to be ex wife's brood). I think it is the modern day way a woman would prevent her mate from using resources on other children ( he won't since he can't). As a man, I am starting to think other men are hopeless about these situations.

I don't want to sound controversial here but you sister was largely to blame for the situation. She stayed with her crazy mother for 3 years? She knew about your father's problem and just didn't give a shit in my opinion. All you did was save an ungrateful child from her own mistakes. She thought she could have a bigger better deal somewhere else and she made a wrong choice. You just taught here that when she screws up royally she can count on a man to fix it. This is not a success story.

I have a question about the men in these homeless shelters. Did their spouse work full time or were they stay at home moms? Were the homes martial property and without debt or did the man own the house before marriage? This last question may seem more extreme : why didn't they take vengeance upon the ex wife and then commit suicide rather than just die like a sad animal? I am not trying to belittle them, I am curious to your read on why they didn't take vengeance on the wife.

I am reading that a lot of people say Don't Move Out.... From what I understand the female can make an allegation of DV and the man is FORCED to move out. So shouldn't we be telling the OP to allege DV first and get a temporary restraining order against his wife to remove HER from the house?

I know. It pisses me off that in MA when both the male and female are guilty of statutory rape ( both under 16 and consensual) only the male is charged and convicted. The female is allowed to go on with her life while the boy's life is effectively destroyed.
