Most days I lean towards divorce. She should be free to be happy. I'm not using any real "strategy" just using my gut. How old were you when you divorced ? Are you happy with your decision? What kind of "incompatabilities" did you have ? Our children are all in their mid twenties and need to learn to stop relying on my wallet.

Don't do what I did. Study the catholic church. It is the biggest business in the world and the pope is the richest man in the world. If it is so great why is there a wall around vatican city? How many "refugees" live there ? ZERO. The "afterlife" is BS. This is all there is so make the most of it.

I made a mistake. I admit it. i was in my early thirties and had a "george costanza, seinfeld moment" but George escaped, I didn't. Had I not been so totally indoctrinated by the catholic religion I wouldn't be here today. Now that I'm over that I can really see the light. I blame myself for making the initial mistake, and for staying this long. Maybe as someone said, divorce will rock my world, but maybe it will rock in a good way. I don't want to live like this.

If I had all the $ I've spent on counseling I could buy a house.

I've been in this spot for 35 years. Religion paralyzed me for a long time. Took care of my parents through a horrible 6 year death (both within a year). Took six of my last good years away from me. I haven't had sex with my wife in 15 years. I love her in a way, but I don't know if I want to spend my last 5 or 6 good years with her. I'm trying to figure out how to get out of this easily. My thought is to put my half of everything in a trust. A carefully worded trust. When I go she gets everythi…

This is a term or the name of a man who came up with a theory or a study. Its a point of interest. I don't have any trouble with my sexual power.

the hell with the therapy its a waste. sounds like she has become a piece of work and may want to pound you into the dirt just because she can. If you get a good lawyer, you might be able to get alimony from her. but i would start getting ready otherwise she will probably hammer you.

what makes her entitled to more than 50/50 ? I have some audio recorded by my kid of her verbally abusing them when they were younger, I can prove that she is a bitch she makes twice as much as i do, she can take her big money salary and sail into the sunset. I would also use the event that happened "2 weeks into the marriage". She has a huge retirement that she will want to keep. technically I'm entitled to half, I'll let her have her retirement, she lets me have mine everything else can be spl…

three adult (over 23) daughters net worth good. House is paid for yes I walk on eggshells around her. I've been doing that for 35 years. Guilt trips me constantly, constantly brings up things from the past, if she is home from work before me SHE WILL NEVER SAY, HOW WAS YOUR DAY, AND GIVE ME A KISS. I got up this morning (said good morning, she was still pretty well snuggled in bed) I was walking towards the bathroom and she says "huh, no kiss?". I will swear on a stack of 1000 bibles she NEVER w…

We have not. But i am going to initiate after the holidays. IDK how many times over the marriage she screamed "I WANT A DIVORCE" at me. But, my strict Catholic upbringing always made me say "but no, we took these vows, its against the church". And I cowered and tried to make it better. Went to therapists, priests, counselors, said umpteen rosaries, hail maryed my self to sleep, went to latin masses at lunch and prayed for help. IM OVER IT NOW. She wouldn't go to most marriage counselors. She wen…

If I can get this done and through it quickly with minimum lawyer expense I'm all in. I'd rather give her a bit more than feed a lawyer. I'm about ready to pull the trigger. I told her yesterday "maybe you want to go spend xmas with your family (way far away). I was always worried about my children (even though they are adults) but yesterday one of them asked me to attend her graduation from trade school but she specifically said she didn't want her mother there. They know too. My wife has many …

Thank You. Even though the world may seem to be ending, and anxiety and fear are all I see. This helps. No matter what, I'm not broke, I'm healthy, I have a job, I can do what I want. Thanks Again

When you say "separate". Could we live in the same house ? I could stay in the basement, she could live upstairs. I could change my address to another property we own but doesn't have a liveable residence. Over the course of the year I would do all the repairs/upgrades to the house se we could sell it and get max. I don't understand why anyone would want to blow a ton of money on lawyers. She can work remote, so literally move anywhere she wants. I like it here.

Im older than you so a 30's lady probably isn't in my future, but I'd be happy with a couple of 50 year old girlfriends. I WILL NOT MARRY AGAIN. I to am guilty of being at fault for everything. And I'm sick of hearing about "how much better everyone else's life is" IDK about everyone else
