I saw a tweet a while ago that said that men cannot access romantic and emotional feelings for a woman without sex, and at the same time men can have sex without emotional connection. It really just comes down to him allowing the connection to happen in the first place, i guess that’s why they call love a game of give and take?

how would you say the end result of hypergamy and the end result of normalizing polygyny differ? if (western) governments allow men to marry multiple women, wouldnt it still be the case that the majority of men with multiple wives are still men who have great status/wealth/power?

so you would say the main difference is the level of honesty, transparency, and commitment

Would you say patriarchy levels the playing field so to speak as it pertains to polygyny? like for example patriarchy supports monogamous marriages as the norm in most western countries, yet in all abrahamic religions that most people globally follow, plus in many eastern countries, polygyny is allowed/tolerated under certain conditions.

this is why monogamous unions are tolerated socially by men even if its not their most basic natural inclination?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
