I don’t think I’ve ever had a guy directly ask for sex from me before. What has your experience been with that?

I’m in law too and it’s understandable. You get drilled into thinking a certain way and you need to have enough self-awareness to turn it off once you leave the office or you’ll become intolerable

What about LeBron James?

It’s not about them, it’s about you. As long as you’re choosing to not reply because you don’t believe they deserve a reply, it doesn’t matter if you leave them on read or not.

Would you also not be dating others?

Lead by example! Behave as someone you want your child to emulate - because they will. This is especially true for the hubby! Even when you think they’re not listening/paying attention. Make it a habit. Kids soak up information like a dry sponge. You’d be surprised what they can pick up on.

I would be zero mad if a guy turned me down because I was not skinny enough

Actually a lot of “skinny fat” people are clinically obese, they just don’t look like it because they have no other mass

Nah feeling bad is totally justified. It’s like losing money on the stock market - ya it was money you were prepared to lose if things went south but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t feel bad if it does. Besides, feelings aren’t micromanageable like that. At the end of the day, it’s not about how you feel, it’s about what you do.

Could you elaborate? I don’t quite understand the gist of your point. I read some of the article but not all (it’s quite long lol)

Take the time to reflect on the relationship and it’s value to you. If you think the value justifies sustaining it through an LDR and the subsequent compromise, then do that. If not, then don’t.

Oh that makes sense. Zumba looks like fun but if you’re interested in being fit I would suggest something more physically intensive

Figure out what your values are, and mould yourself accordingly.

Acknowledge your feelings, but more importantly acknowledge your supremacy over them. Don’t fight your feelings but don’t let them lead your actions. In time your emotions will respond to the way you treat yourself.

It’s great being a feminist and all but if your identity revolves around it... yikes. It’s like those people who put “Keto Dad” in their bios. Like why??

More importantly, it really can’t be taught. Becoming high value comes through maturation - developing values and subsequent decision making faculties. The only thing we can hope is that his father was a good quality man that led by example. If not, he’s going to have to learn it himself.

Who knows? People do lots of things for lots of different reasons. All we’d be able to do is offer guesses. At the end of the day, the only important thing is your decision to tolerate it or not

My sexuality is normal, not myself. My identity is more complex than that

Online dating is dead. Maybe you’ll find a decent guy but only if you’re willing to sift through piles and piles of trash

I think online dating is pretty much dead these days

I read the handbook and it warned against “standard shaming” which suggests that the answer would be yes. If we all have different standards it seems as though some would necessarily be higher than other’s

Taking the effort to roast him is below you. Your time is valuable, use it accordingly

I was thinking the same thing too the other day with regard to sexuality. I can’t feel attracted to someone sexually unless I feel connected to them. Apparently that makes me a “demisexual” and the odd one out. I always thought that was just normal human behaviour?

Honestly it’s better this way. It’s kinda whack that society makes us feel better having our inboxes spammed with dick pics instead of an empty one. It took a while to rewire my brain but I’m much happier now that I’ve bought out of that need for shitty “validation”.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
