A gun suicide rate of 1/5 that of the US seems awfully high in a country with almost no guns among civillians. Looks like some guys will go to great lengths to find a gun to kill themselves with. And they have a suicide rate of almost twice the US, which says to me that guns don't cause suicide. Despite a very low (nearly negligible) number of guns; they are none-the-less used in 20% of suicides I wonder if that might have something to do with gang culture in large cities? Please cite the source…

Japan's suicide rate is nearly twice that of the US overall; but the gun suicide rate is 1/5 of the US. Japan also has extremely low (nearly zero) gun ownership rates. US's violent crime-murder rate is 26 times higher than Japan. In combining the suicide rate (violence against the self) and the murder rate (violence against others) the US is significantly more violent overall. Very valid point; I also note that gun violence is also the leading method for suicides. Violence against the self (suicide) and others (shootings) are both enhanced by the availability of guns.

I have never seen a 100% way to predict whether someone will cheat or not. If she says she loves you, enjoy the feeling of being wanted, there is also no way to be 100% sure of this either. If she does cheat, just have to deal with it. There are no unicorns.

I do not consider contract killers "emotionally stable." An equally likely explanation is that he is in prison and unlikely to get out; is the exact reason he gets so many letters. Women like the silly romantic fantasy archetype of an unavailable hero. I have not read any accounts of prisoners who are released after serving their time becoming great PUAs.

No one person can control what others do, much less what others think and feel. A person can and should control how they react and maintain frame. Alphas maintain frame and do the right thing. Betas worry about what others will feel. When people behave poorly and treat others poorly it is a strong indication of their own self-esteem; not yours. People are much too self-absorbed to think about others.

In my opinion, Evolutionary Biology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are much more practical tools to understand human psych. Psychoanalysis might help a person understand themselves better, but does not actually help them become better. Becoming more psychologically resilient (via CBT) is a much more useful strategy for attracting women.
