Did your flatmate know she had a bf back home? Maybe you're not being beta, but you didn't want to turn her into a cheater.

You should add a few more sentences to show you're really desperate- I mean, interested!

Here's a challenge. Try talking with someone and see how far you can go without exchanging names. It's funny the longer you go before realizing you haven't "formally introduced ourselves."

It sounds like you're describing my life. I know a lot of people and have a lot of acquaintances, but don't really feel like I have really close, go-to friends. At least not here on campus. I have a lot of different friend circles, but each of those circles don't have too much depth.

What do you do then if you send out mass texts and get invited to multiple things? "Hey, thanks, but I already have plans now"? It might turn people off if you reach out to them, they invite you, and then you decline when you form other plans.

Even if you are comfortable and have no more anxiety, doesn't mean she is. It's good if you feel confident, but some of these seem to come off too strong.

Your goal is to find some passion you have in common. That's what delves small, surface talk to the deeper connection conversations. To do this, a helpful method is threading. This takes whatever the other person says and spin it off to a story or question. "I'm from California" -> "Oh, I remember one time when I was there..." OR "What made you come out here?" Use your environmental cues to start new threads if the conversation dies down. Be creative, have fun, and don't slip into interview-mode…

Ask if she could give you a Dirty Orgasm. (It's a legit drink on Jamba Juice's secret menu.)

Go for it. Worst they could do is say no. And regardless what happens, you'll feel better about yourself for doing it. Win-win!

You're looking at this wrong. This is all about self-improvement, and that's something that literally everyone could work on. This is about finding and becoming a better you, not putting on a charade of someone you're not. Not everyone wants or should want one-night-stands and random hook-ups, but everyone should be happy with who they are and confidently able to converse and express themselves to others.

Just stop. You don't need to say or do anything to her. If you want to "disqualify" yourself, then just stop playing and go about your life.

What is your relationship with the girl back when you two were in school? If at some point you were close, you can suggest a get together to catch up. But if you two were never really friends or close, then a low-risk, low-reward such as Facebook couldn't really mend that. Ask her to go out for coffee. Worst that could happen is she just ignores you, and then you should move on to meeting new girls in person.

Some people are naturally more outgoing, and you can improve that, but oftentimes with friendship dynamics, it's pretty hard to change. An easy thing you can do is suggest and initiate hang-outs or get-togethers. Just last night, I got a bunch of friends together for poker night. And this evening I'm getting people together for a run. Be the initiator.

Go to any of the already established subreddits in these areas. Or if not, just take the initiative and start your own thing. If a subreddit doesn't exist, make it. You don't need the approval of others to do that.

If it works for you, great! But I'm personally not a fan of it. Two of my gripes with it: 1) You want to be up front with your intentions and this build up to a humorous punchline expresses you're not confident to say what you want. This is a funny joke you could send to friends, but not to people you're attracted to. 2) If you're interested in a girl, texting should have one purpose- to set up real life interaction. If you don't want to engage in real conversation or meet in person, texting is …

First, figure out what you really want. If you truly plan to wait until marriage or hold it until later into a relationship, then don't worry/care about sex now. If you are a virgin by choice, then why is this even a concern for you?
