Not really. I think it's more men arent expected to put in as much work in relationships. Women are expected to do the emotional labor----> Men don't practice maintaining relationships like this---------> Men are bad at maintaining relationships--------> No/bad/weak relationships------> Feeling lonely Generally speaking, of course

There are more high school graduates and people with college degrees than ever before. Just because girls do a little better doesnt mean boys arent doing well. Women are just doing better

Could you elaborate? Like in school or everyday thing? If you do mean like public education arent more people graduating high school and getting higher level education than ever before?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/20 09:58 AM

Could you provide some concrete examples of boys being worse off? Being raised differently doesnt mean bad. If anything being raised with less toxic masculinity is good in my book. Also as someone with a very minimal dad raising who is married with a house and upper middleclass (from poor parents) I think I'm doing fine.

While morally I dont have an issue with prostitution the problem is even with legalization the supply will never meet demand. There will always be more men that want to pay for sex than women willing to do it. That will then incentivize trafficking but now traffickers can hide it under the guise of it being legal and consensual (as seen in Amsterdam).

Slut shaming is necessary Honey........
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/20 02:56 PM

You're confusing not being praised with being shamed. Sure. Most women can get laid more easily than most men. That's why I'm not like "nooice" when I hear about a woman getting laid. But slut shaming because of it is just jealousy plain and simple. I can bake better than most people. Me making simple chocolate chip cookies wouldn't get the same praise as a novice. But if you said I deserve to shamed for making chocolate chip cookies id call you an idiot Men have to be tall, smart, funny, and ac…

Meh, it's not that bad Really it's just encouraging women to aim higher and not put up with men's bullshit. I work with mostly women and I wouldn't be able to stand being married to some of their husbands. No housework. Inadequate hygiene. Cant take care of themselves. REFUSES TO BUDGET. Cant cook. At worst these some of these women are entitled. But its definitely no worse than TRP.

Uh, ya? It takes up time and energy. You dont like doing it but you have to. That's work. Especially since most women have careers and still do most of the domestic work. It used to be fairly equal. Men had a job and women took care of the household. Now women do both but men are still slacking in the domestic department.

That's really not that good of a metric for a multitude of reasons 1) having a mental health issue doesnt mean you hate your life. It means you have a mental health issue 2) women are more likely to report their symptoms and seek help 3) different illnesses effect men and women at different rates. Women are morel likely to suffer from the traditionally treatable ones (depression, anxiety) than men (substance abuse, ptsd)

divorcing a man and taking half (or more than half) his stuf That's not how divorce works. Assessts are typically split evenly. So if the woman made more the man would get alimony. Women are more likely to be stay at home moms so they give up the chance at a a career to raise child so they are awarded money because of the lost opportunity demanding child support for a kid that the man didn't want to have ( Then use a condom or dont have sex. They're punished for making stupid choices. Also that …

Women have an extremely long and detailed history of discrimination based on gender. Women being legally subordinate to men wasn't illegal in the US until 1981. In many counties today women do not have the same rights and legal protection as men. That's not to say men don't have their issues, it's just been longer for women

To be fair, remakes are in. All the different spiderman's, X-Men reboot, a star is born, exc. This is just a way for studios to capitalize on both. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty staunch feminist and I'm not the most jazzed about it either. I'd love to see women in original content but if I have to choose female reboots are better than nothing.

In a more gender equal society teachers, for example, should be careful about how they refer to various career and study options so as not to discourage students who do not fit the usual model of student who chooses that option In nursing school, during case studies or discussions, the teachers would almost anyways refer to the doctors as men and the nurses as women (except in OB class). About 1/3 of practicing physicians are women. That's not really that much of a difference, IMO. But med schoo…

1) the woman would also have to pay for a lawyer 2) courts take into account who the primary care giver is, which more often than not is the mother That's not to say there isn't a bias against men. There's absolutely a perception that men aren't as good at child rearing. But that doesn't change the fact that women still do most of it child rearing, often to the detriment of their careers

I think most men arent not as good parents but not because of a biological reason. Women are simply expected to raise the kid. My sister was always put in charge of baby sitting. In 2017 the EEOC received 26,978 claims of workplace harassment, of which a little more than half (12,428) were about sex-based harassment[2] and a quarter (6,696) specifically about sexual harassment (U.S. EEOC 2018) False allegations? The best I could find was 2-10% of allegations but their definitions often included reports that couldn't be proven which obviously doesn't mean they're inherently false. Either way, dramatically less

Workplace sexual harassment is widespread, with studies estimating that anywhere from almost a quarter to more than eight in ten women experience it in their lifetimes (Feldblum and Lipnic 2016). In 2017 the EEOC received 26,978 claims of workplace harassment, of which a little more than half (12,428) were about sex-based harassment[2] and a quarter (6,696) specifically about sexual harassment (U.S. EEOC 2018) Funny thing. Or don't hire men because they're doing the discrimination and harassing?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/19 08:13 PM

🙄 counter- point: don't sexual harass women. There will always be a chance you get a false accusation but you can't act like the number of harassments vs false accusations are even close to equal
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/19 08:12 PM

So men are scared of a false complaint? Imagine how women feel about sexism in the workplace which is WAAAAAYYY more common. Seriously dudes it's false rape accusations vs rape all over again. Im not saying false accusations don't happen or aren't serious but you can't act like the two things happen in equal abundance and deserve equal amounts of air time.

NFD was definitely enacted for a reason (by Reagan of all people). In many states female suicide dropped significantly. You no longer had to lie to a judge if both parties wanted out. Really this comes down to one big problem. There's a change in how our society deals with marriage. There's cultural and legal friction between "traditional" marriage and our new, evolving view of marriage. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

The vagina and pleasure surrounding it is a lot more complicated than a penis. Women aren't encouraged like men are to masturbate and discover what gets them off. That's not even getting into how clueless men are when in comes to the vagina and female orgasm. All these can add up to a situation where women don't enjoy sex as much as men. There's a good episode Explained about the female orgasm that addresses a lot of this.

Being gay is a sexual orientation. I don't take offense when people call me straight. If you think it's an insult you're weak. Diddo with femininity. If you won't drink a fuzzy naval NOT because you don't like the taste but simply because your scared of what people will think of you you're being weak.

Do you read? I literally just stated femininity is a neutral term. It doesn't make one strong or weak. And since masculinity is its counterpart it too is a neutral term. However being scared of being seen as feminine is weak.

98/100 men will get offended because they're scared of being perceived as something that isn't inherently negative. You won't get the same reaction if you assumed their favorite for was purple. That's called weakness.

Who the hell would be scared of being happy? Toxic men do
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:54 PM

Entitled cunt=inherently negative; there is no positive spin on it Gay=simply an sexual orientation Feminine= a gendered term. Not at all a comparison. But really you just proved my point about how weak men can be. You're upset but neutral terms.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:34 PM
3

My point exactly. People like to circle jerk about how awesome men were back in the day when really they were cry- babies who couldn't handle "mean words" without resorting to violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:31 PM
7

Men are also the reason women were disenfranchised. If I break your window I don't deserve praise for fixing it. Also the draft is a terrible idea that no one should have to do, men or women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:29 PM
4

If you're scared of being gay or feminine your weak. Hands down. Men of the past (and many men today) are TERRIFIED of it, thus, they aren't as strong as people want to think they are
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:27 PM
3

It's more about the inconsequential-ness of the subject. Being called gay or liking things that are feminine are such pathetic things to be upset by it makes you weak to be angered by that. It's ok to be upset by real injustices though. It actually takes strength to do something injustice. Turning a blind eye to a real strong is weak because it's the easy way out
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:25 PM
5

If you think being called gay will hurt your reputation (unless you actually are gay) you're weak. You're scared of what others think of you. You're weak. If liking feminine things harms your masculinity then your masculinity wasn't that strong to begin with. A strong man wouldn't care. A mentally mature and strong person enjoys what they like regardless. Old men are weak. Some young men too
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/18 03:22 PM

Mentally men from most past generations were quite weak. They couldn't handle any type of adversity. They flew off the handle at the thought of women having rights. At the thought of gays having rights. Men were/are so afraid of not being able to control women anymore. Can you imagine being so fragile that doing anything not considered "masculine " hurt your ego so much you flew into a blind rage? Can you imagine being so mentally weak that you need to show how "tough" you are through violence? …

/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/18 07:51 PM

It's called shaming because while men and women both participate in promiscuous behavior it's really only frowned upon in women. It's not about men having a "reason." It's the hypocrisy in men shaming women for doing something that men do (or at least try to). So, doesn't really matter as much for women to slut shame. It's not ideal and they should hey called out for it but it's WORSE that men do it of the hypocrisy behind it

This is the biggest issue I see when in comes to consent. People get all huffy when the person the person they want to have sex with changes their mind. Wanting to have sex an hour ago doesn't entitle anyone to sex now.

It hurts men and women differently. Women are treated as children. Yes, you could say being treated like a child had its perks like being taken care of or being trusted (in a sense) and viewed as more innocent. However it also means being seen as less competent and able. Im not a woman, but most of the women I know would rather be treated as equals to men instead of as children

If being patronized means someone views you as less capable and thus less likely to hire you, I'd count that as pretty bad
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/18 04:20 AM

Exactly. The whole "sleeping your way to the top" is a ridiculous thing men tell themselves happens. It's a fantasy they project. In reality women in the workforce simply want to do their work and advance by merit.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/18 04:15 AM
5

In many professions women are seen as less capable and weaker (physically and emotionally). It's a double edged sword that I'd argue is mostly detrimental. Sure, being seen as weaker can mean you're treated nicely though many accounts I've read by women say they're often treated worse because of it. On the other hand being seen as weak also doesn't get your promoted, doesn't get your raised, and doesn't get you hired.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/18 05:44 PM
2

1) divorce rates have never reached 50% and are actually dropping 2) traditional marriage structures are what created the problems we are describing. That's not to say modern marriages are without problems, but the alimony and child care problems are distinctly caused by old timey views of marriage. 3) there is a bias towards women but that's because women still do the best majority of child care. The court is going to award the most custody to the person who is best suited to care for the child…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/18 02:33 PM
1

The only time that ever happens is literally a result of the ideals the red pill/ traditional marriage holds. Custody goes to who took care of the child. If you want a SAHM, it's obviously going to be her. If you want a stay at home mom, she can't build a career for herself so she's going to need alimony. Plus, who wants to be a single mother? It suck alimony or not.

Am man. I understand. Still stupid. Or causes bodily harm. I work on Trauma unit. I see it every day. Women are complicit in their own ‘oppression Not all women are, obviously, thus feminism. What seemed possible for women's rights has advanced quite a lot over the last century. Like when Kanye says slavery was a choice. It's literally a choice but not realistically a choice. Victims of abuse stay with their abuser all the time. That doesn't mean we shouldn't strive for better.

Really? Men don't make more on average? Men don't have more mobility during their career? Men have to choose between career or family? Men are pushed to put their career on hold for years, making them less employable, to take care of children? Men are now, more than ever, expected to work full time and do the majority of the domestic work? Men's access to healthcare is regularly a subject of debate by groups that often have little to no male representation? Ya see where I'm going with this?

I work for a fairly large (over 1000 employee) company in a very liberal city with very liberal motto's. Our sexual harassment really came down to "people date their coworkers all the time. It just happens. But be careful because harassment is in the eye of the beholder. If they ask you to stop then stop." In our institution unless you do something really grievous ( unsolicited dick pic) you're probably only getting a talk from management for a first offense. After that you're getting fired.

Sadly this also translates to the largest rate of spousal violence Actually there's a lot of questioning that goes into that. Smaller sample sizes, more likely to report all sorts of abuse (emotional, physical, financial, exc), or that while 44% of the lesbians in the study reported being abused in 38% of those instances they were from men bringing the actual woman on woman violence down to 30% which is less than straight women (33%).

Culture and society aren't just conscious decisions. We're filled with bias and hardwired to act like how we see everyone else acting. It takes work to undo that. We've seen gender roles change dramatically even in the last 100 years. Remember when women we're considered smart enough to be scientist, doctors, or lawyers? Arguably. Depends who you ask. Liberal feminism says women can have their cake and eat it too. That these behaviors in and of themselves are not problematic but the culture and expectations that women must do this is. Then radical feminism would argue that these behaviors are ultimately problematic and participating in any way is simply helping the patriarchy.

You can be a feminist and date/marry masculine men. Those two things aren't contradictory. Masculinity is just a set of traits and behaviors. Most people have a combination of masc/fem traits. What feminism has a problem with is when people see Masc > Fem. That and the toxic crap masculinity can pull out sometimes.

1) it needs to be done. Someone needs to take care of a house and/or children or it needs to be paid for. 2) So what if it's a choice? Most couples have children. Ya? It's about representation and choice. Men have a much greater chance of being successful. They have the option. They aren't burdened with working while also still doing the majority of the child care and house work. It allows them time to focus on their career and get ahead.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/18 05:40 PM

Google "Nuance." It's a super nifty word. If you actually listen to feminist you would know that our current system (i.e. the patriarchy) benefits men and women in different ways. It's simply benefits men in what I would consider more and better ways ( more social mobility, better wages, more representation in positions of power).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/18 05:22 PM

If it was such a good idea, it wouldn't require force to be implemented because people would voluntarily accept it as a good idea Ruby Bridges had to be escorted in to school. Marriage equality was only achieved because the supreme court said "hey, maybe we shouldn't be dicks" not because people voted for it to be so. Trans rights are moving backwards with this administration. Your argument completely ignores the power of prejudice. Sometimes the government needs to step in to protect people.

society rewards traditional masculinity with women, To an extend. Women are still penalized for being too driven and outspoken.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/18 04:00 PM

Masculinity has absolutely been reduced in society. That's because it's been over represented til now. Women and femininity have been actively been pushed into the background until the last couple of decades. This isn't an "attack on masculinity" it's men not having as much power as before. When you're used to having all the power any decrease feels like an attack. Look at Fundamentalist Christians today. They're facing a similar "problem." Really the root of the problem is gender being so rigid…

I didn't say don't have sex. Sex is great. I have sex. But every time you have sex you take a risk. Especially when you don't use proper birth control, which let's be real, is the vast majority of unplanned pregnancies. I'm simply stating that you can't say men don't have a choice because they do. Women simply get two chances to make a choice because it affects them more.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/18 10:02 PM
1

Tilted towards women? Cry me a river. Let's talk when women make on average the same as men and have the same representation in congress and positions of power. "something something courts favor women and STEM" Most of the people and power are still men. Including law makers, policy makers, and judges. They're the one's making that happen. They see women as weak and defenseless which is part of the problem. Also I'm gay. soo

/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/18 02:12 PM
2

Same problem as before. Women are expected to do the majority of the child-rearing and house work. This leaves men to advance in their careers.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/18 12:10 AM
1

Men take that risk when they have sex with women. ESPECIALLY with unprotected sex. They make that choice, pure and simple. If they don't want to be fathers, short of rape, there's nobody forcing them to other then themselves. It's really, very simple. When you have sex, you take that risk.

Over an hour? No thanks. Tl;dr that shit
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/18 11:44 PM

Both parties have a chance to stop a child from being produced. Don't have sex. Simple as that. Men did not lose anything by women having an extra step to stopping a pregnancy. Women gain a choice, but it's not at the expense of men. Men have their chance.

They work more payable hours. This didn't include the fact that women still do the majority of child rearing and home care. They both have a say when they BOTH descide to have sex. It takes two to tango. They know the possible consequences when they engage. Woman just get one extra step to say no.

Girls who engaged in ONSs involving sexual touching also had a small increase in psychological distress and in drug use. This result supports the conclusion that CSREs may have no significant impact on psychological well-being (Deutsch & Slutske, 2015; Eisenberg et al., 2009; Owen & Fincham, 2011a; Vrangalova, 2015b). It appears plausible that CSREs have no major impact on psychological well-being when considering previous well-being, since many other events and factors in an adolescent’s life m…

All of these "consequences" are due to the moralization of sexuality. I agree that these exist, but they are not because of promiscuity itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/18 11:43 PM
3

What bonds? What structures? I used to have ONS, now I'm monogamous. It's simply a choice one makes. You're trying to turn a completely moral decision into something it's not. It's ok to have that as a moral but you can't pretend it's anything concrete.

It's actually really easy to separate the feelings from the sex if you know what you're getting into. if they seem “better” Better has so many components. Sexually better? Lifestyle and belief comparability? Personality? Goals? Being closer in one category doesn't negate the influence of all the other ones. So ya. It could increase the odds …
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/18 05:34 PM

That's not really how open relationships work. There are multiple metrics on what makes a relationship successful. Sex, mutual interest, compatible personalities, exc. It doesn't sound to me like they are using "she's a virgin" as a defense. It sounds much more like "This large man coerced an intoxicated, smaller woman into having sex she really didn't want to have." Though the "impressionable" part they're playing up is a little condescending to women everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 03:04 PM

Bro-ish, is how I describe it. It groups where people use pussy to describe women it's cool to not really think of women as people and more sex objects. That's not to say women never do the same thing, but it's way more common for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/17 02:59 PM

I think sexual attraction can be based of genitals, appears, or a combination of the two. For instance, I'm a gay dude. I like dick. But I'm also attracted to (and would have sex with) very masculine trans men, even if they had a vagina. I think there are straight dudes out there who have sex with trans women even if they have a penis ( I also there this number would be higher if there wasn't a fear of association with trans people).

To clarify, there's a difference between old-timey sister wives polygamy and modern polygamy. There's a huge power dynamic in the sister wives one. The husband is in charge. In that situation you wouldn't see a reversal, A matriarch with many husbands. Modern polygamy tends to be a little more balanced.

Some were lies to control the people. Some were based on truth and reality. That's kind of my point. I think many of these lies are still engrained in our culture. Plus, I think some of these concepts are biologically based but socially reinforced. Like "women are better caregivers." It's based of the fact that women give birth. However, women are also told their entire lives that they're expected to have children and take care of everyone. It's seems like a self fulfilling prophecy.

Here's the thing though. I'm not saying men and women don't have innate differences but there's two big problems with your statements. 1) These differences are on an average. 1) Dangerous? Restricting free speech? Jesus, I just asked you not to assume people want sexual attention all the time. You can come down from your cross at any time down. 2) Once-read the situation. Don't assume. Saying hi or whatever is fine but coming on to someone in a place where that's very unlikely their intention (starbucks, a library, the grocery store) maybe don't. Twice- If you've been rejected once already the second time is harassment. 3) This power? lol

denying women who wear sexy clothes want to be approached by some men? YES! What's considered sexy is completely relative. A woman wearing knee-length skirts in the middle east would be considered sexy. That could simply be comfortable attire to them. America isn't a homogeneous culture where you can make assumptions like that based on what people wear. Believe it or not, women don't go about their entire day thinking about what you'll think of them.

unwanted vs wanted sexual attention Easy answer. Don't assume anyone wants sexual attention. Start with regular attention, maybe, and go from there. /r/PurplePillDebate30/10/17 06:19 AM

If you dress a certain way you'll get attention. That isn't an invitation for harassment or an invitation for you to come bother me. If I see something out of the ordinary I will see what is happening or maybe event stare for a moment. That is never an excuse for sexual harassment.

I think it'll be easier once women are as free to express their sexuality as men. Then finding a woman who doesn't feel the slut shaming pressure to agree to polygamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 03:43 AM
1

Except you don't see that with our closest genetic relatives, the bonobos. Female bonobos have many male partners so many potential fathers will care for her children. It's obviously not common in all species. Having many children isn't a strong drive for most modern countries. 1st world countries are stage 4 counties in population trends. Every country goes through theses stages. Thus the "producing as many children as possible" theory is demonstratively false. Again, the problem is the power d…

All those problems are caused by the power difference between the people in the relationship (specifically only men being allowed to have multiple spouses and having compete control over said spouses). There are plenty of polygamous couples doing just fine
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 03:03 AM
1

I don't think polygamy is inherently problematic. It's traditionally been a problem because there's usually a power difference (typically older man, younger women).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 02:24 AM

Meet some mature adults and the chances go up drastically. Or gay people. Really once you realize that monogamy is just a societal standard, no more than simple manners, it gets really easy to get over it.

"stay at home dad" Ya, and with that job they all the power and money in the relationship. Something most women at the time had neither of. they take modern liberal values for granted and try to compare all other ancient times to that, it's fucking silly really Whaaaa?whoooi?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 12:00 AM

You don't believe women were kept from having jobs or advancing through education or kept out of places of power? That's literally fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 07:44 PM
3

The real question is in what ways, which I believe we still don't truly know due to sexist ideologies and gendered expectations and norms. You're using examples of a time where women were completely oppressed and saying "that's how women naturally are" while completely ignoring the cultural context.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 04:50 PM
6

While I agree "gross/disgusting" is an insensitive way of viewing polygamy Think it's a little hypocritical to say You never had to wander around with so much testosterone in your system that it's nudging you to sleep with as many people as possible While simultaneously saying When men want women who habe greater self control Don't you think that's proof that women might want sex as much as men? It's hypocritical to say "Men can't control themselves but women should."
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 04:48 PM
3

But we don't see this in our closest relatives, the bonobos. Females are quite promiscuous because then males don't know if the baby is theirs or not so they're less likely to kill it. I think that's pretty good evidence that this is more societal than evolutionary.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/17 04:28 PM
2

There's a strong cultural influence on our views of monogamy and polygamy. Polygamy used to be completely ok (as long as men were in charge) in many cultures. That changed and now we live in a mainly monogamous society. I don't think there's an evolutionary reason for the twitch. There's nothing inherently wrong with either. If one works for you and the other doesn't, that's totally fine. The only problem would be finding a partner who has the same expectations as you. With monogamy it's going t…

These stories are completely sexistly biased to keep women out of positions of power. It used to also be thought that women were smart enough to be doctors and scientist; A trope that existed for centuries. With societal advancement it was clearly demonstrated to be false. Men stifle SOME of their emotions. Sadness isn't the only emotion. Men get angry well enough. Also all of this is based purely on your experience. I feel no such disgust or revolution to a man crying. It's not at all instinctual. Really that is evidence that it is a societal factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/17 12:39 PM

The main problem here is that men are expected to/congratulated for being sexual or having a high N-count. Women are shamed for it. If this dichotomy didn't exist preference wouldn't be a problem.

Keep that to yourself. 2) there's such a large spectrum where someone could be from slightly overweight to obese. Obese=bad. Everyone else= it depends. You can't lump them all together. 3) You don't hate fat people. You just hate it when they don't hate themselves. 4) Sounds like I'm not interested in uninformed, generalised hatred.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/17 11:24 AM

In my experience men are more driven by their emotions and women think more in terms of rationality. Men will be driven by anger or jealousy or sex drive (not saying to what extent each is cultural or biological). Women on the other hand think more in terms of what is best for them and reviewing their options.

natural intuitive understanding of the opposite sex The thing is, that doesn't exist. It never has. There is no such thing as intuitive knowledge. You have to learn it. Talking is how you learn. I don't really understand why you think a person can't acknowledge a problem exist and try to solve said problem at the same time. It's like wearing ankle weights. But also downsides. It's not for everyone. Monogamy shouldn't always be a requirement Unless you're talking about governmental benefits, to which begs the question, are those really far? Or do they promote what is largely a religious ideology?

Look at history, dude. Women have gained a lot when for centuries they were told they weren't smart enough or emotionally stable enough to have a good job or vote. Masculinity and femininity are exaggerated features.

Women weren't treated like garbage, they were treated like women I'm sorry, are you saying being incapable of voting, making almost no major decisions (especially about their bodies), not being smart enough to be anything other than a middle school teacher is not being treated like garbage? Technically I guess "tall children" is a better metaphor but not completely because you were never legally allowed to rape your child. different strengths and weaknesses is largely ignored by society Except t…

I'm not even a fan of affirmative consent, but you are over simplifying it. There easily could be a man who initially seems like a good guy, but when taken into private quarters gets pushy, rough, or threatening. How he acts at the club and how he acts in his apartment could be very different First comment. lol

Strange how there are actually women in favor of this "dehumanizing" and "oppressing" There totally are. My grandma, for instance, believes women deserve to be paid less then men because being paid the same would encourage women to work. different moral values. Totally. The difference is a patriarchal system takes the choice away from women. You might be ok with that. Women you know might be ok with that. But there are plenty of women who would prefer not to be forced or coerced into certain pos…

Really, no matter what, you're not going to have a complete view of what it's like to be a different gender. Because gender affects how the world reacts and treats you it's really hard to get into a different head space. The best you can do is listen to the experiences of other people.

1) Women are at an increased risk for violence or just straight up shaming when rejecting men. I've seen numerous testimonies of this. When you're in a private setting with someone who can physically overpower you it's a lot harder to say no than you may realize. 2) People make dumb decisions when pressured. It's really that simply. Everyone has done something they were uncomfortable with because they pressured into it or because they were worried about the consequences or NOT doing it. However,…

I'm gay so it's a little different for me but my BF's N-count doesn't really bother mean (It's way more than mine). He wasn't in a monogamous relationship with most of these people. He knew the deal, they knew the deal. Now he's in a monogamous relationship. Doesn't really change much except sex is pretty good (experience and all).

Thank god people don't lie or change or die. It's a good thing the world is a stagnant, predictable place. Don't forget that there are also cases where a girl/woman has a kid by some dude because she wants to coerce him into an LTR, marriage or whatever, thus effectively taking the welfare of the kid ho…

Easier-I could see an argument on either side. Men are expected to work more paid hours but women are expected to do more housework and childrearing (which is definitely less appreciated). Men are expected to pay and be chivalrous but women are expected to but way more effort into the looks department. Men are expected to get a head and earn more money but women are shut down when they try (glass ceiling) leaving them in easier, but less lucrative, jobs. Who has it better is a good question and …

Things are more fun when they are taboo. If a society is open about something it takes some of the fun away. Not all of it obviously because sex is fantastic but some of the fun is how "dirty" or "slutty" it is. Along with u/Ascimator 's comment
