To become a better conversationalist, listen to good conversationalists. Check out comedy podcasts or shows (for example Seinfeld's comedians in cars getting coffee), listen to radio shows and look for how they talk. How do they evolve the conversation, what things do they do over and over again?

Remember it's a test. They're basically asking 'Are you affected by your height?' So here's things not to do: give a shit about it, get offended, try to have a comeback ready. You don't care. You literally give no shit about your height.

Less is more. This: Hahaha. Well I was thinking of using hi, but I wanted to save my good conversation openers for when we met in person Could turn into this: I want to save my good openers for when I see you Maybe add a winky face if you're not sure she'll get the playful tone. But what's more important is that you fell into her frame. You just agreed and didn't amplify. "I know, the whole thing is ruined!! It was nice meeting you though"

or [should I] do what I want to do? From your phrasing it seems like you know you want to do it. The real question is can you live with the consequences? I think you're asking is it out of the question by principle. It all depends on how you've decided to live your life.

No. Were you disappointed by the answer? Either way, now you know what you truly want. Do what you want.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
