Having even a skim read through that disaster of a paper was painful. Any scholarly paper that begins by praising someone's genius is suspect, let alone the atrocious analysis by one clearly biased researcher who can't count. At one point they call 37 nearly five times larger than 11. Looks like a bunch of cherry picked data, sadly. Is there a better source for your argument?

It's great you're looking and thinking about this stuff, male teachers are severely underrepresented and actively pushed out of teaching for many, mostly bullshit, reasons. That doesn't mean female teachers are worse, I think. I think we need and benefit from both. Feel free to investigate this more!

Okay, so that might be a good place to start with a hypothesis, eg: I have noticed men seemed to be better teachers at my school than women, how can I find out if this is true? So, can you come up with a way to test this? Always make sure to avoid sources of bias as best you can, otherwise your data won't be very transferable.

It's actually a fair point my dude, and it depends on the situation. As I replied to another, they built a life together with one forgoing certain things while the other worked - childcare, career, building a business, time with their children, whatever. It's not cut and dry. Sometimes alimony makes sense - a lot of the time it does not. Courts do not do this well in many countries, and we're really seeing that. It's not always wrong though.

If it's a partnership, which marriage is, I think that's the wrong way to look at it my friend. They built a life together. Alimony in general goes way too far, definately. However in a case like this I think it would or could be warranted, at least for some time. A level of support from your partner is almost always required to be financially successful and have a family. Takes a villiage to raise a child etc etc.
