I think I mistyped and was honestly I don’t remember what I meant. The brain is currently a bit broken.

I’m truly sorry you feel this way. Men should not just be treated as providers and y’all have purpose. For me some of my best friendships are with guys. Like y’all are pretty cool. And I hope this changes. Women can be great providers and men, if they want, can just be chill stay at home husbands/dads. You’re worth shouldn’t be monetary

I definitely think dads matter, or at the very least healthy male role models. Like I’m gay, I’m going to marry another woman. I doubt I’ll have kids but if I go down that path, I’m lucky to have two pretty great brothers to be a role model for the hypothetical kids. Every person to me, as long as they are good people, have inherent values. Serial killers on the other hand…. Not very good people. But even someone who steals can still be a good person. I mean in this economy I have to resist the …

I completely see where you are getting at. And I applaud you for fighting for what you believe in and making that distinction.

If I misinterpret this wrong I do apologize, but it sounds like you are saying this subreddit may perhaps be a bit toxic. And some men here don’t actually care about the issues, they just want to detract from feminism. If you feel this way why are you apart of this community?

First of all I’m so sorry your son had to experience that. It’s shit like that which truly infuriates me. Like that is a literal child. Children are allowed to cry. Everyone needs to cry. That’s how our body moves resets. To not cry is just bullshit. And I see your point of the silliness of men. I know I can be what my friends describe as a frat boy. I enjoy a good time of roughhousing, I do incredible stupid shit. I may be technically an adult but what is fun is fun. You never get too old for f…

I will not lie, based off the Mens right guys I have known in real life I had a bad preconceived idea. So I came hear wanting my mind changed. I didn’t want to be stuck in that negative way of thinking because I knew it would only cause resentment on my side which isn’t healthy. My mind has been completely changed. Yes, I had some… less than stellar responses. But just like the majority of feminists I know, the majority of these men just want to be valued, feel equal, and have a sense of safety …

Oh I will. Once the pain goes away I’m going in with some tweezers. Then I’m gonna soak again and head to bed

It was either glass or a shell. The cut is surprisingly clean, like no jagged areas. So it was definitely something that was not serrated. Currently my foot is elevated and I’m watching the cabin in the woods.

1) thank you. I try my best 2) while I agree more women seem to deal with sexual harassment/assault men still have that as well wether by another man or a woman, if it exists it needs to be addressed. Full stop. 3) that’s what I meant. It probably just came out very jumbled and for that I apologize. 4) like I said, toxic masculinity to me is forcing your idea of how to be a man on others. If a guy is a manly dude that’s cool. If another dude is a effeminate that’s also okay. Just don’t be a jerk…

It has definitely been beneficial. To me it just keeps on showing how no matter how different humans are we are still so so similar. So to keep trying to divide is futile. Rather we need to unite and fight together, ya know?

Okay forgive me if I don’t answer everything here. I did my best to read everything but I probably only got 50% because my brain is currently half focused on pain due to glass in my foot. So most of the feminists I know acknowledges and will try to activate for mens rights as well. I know a few outliers, but they are in the vast majority and I try not to associate with them as my belief is if you aren’t trying to better everyone’s lives, you shouldn’t be trying to better your own. Humans as a sp…

So I didn’t cry. I was more like after a few minutes why does my foot hurt. Took my foot out of the water and it was bleeding. Some people saw, were like are you okay and I said yeah. Called my boss, she came and did first aid. Cleo, the pup, was just staring at me like “excuse me I’m a Portuguese WATER dog. Why am I not in water?“

I don’t think so. I think because it’s open my body doesn’t realize the liquid isn’t being built up, so the plasma just keeps coming and is like “blister, must fill blister” It just happened today. I’m a dog walker/future trainer so I went to the lake with a clients dog, took a step, slipped and boom there was glass.

Thank you for this. Currently I’m soaking my foot because it’s leaking some weird shit. This is the last time I take a dog to the lake I stg

I’m not saying removing a, b, or c. My theory is just that if you have strict rules on what is a man, and anything that sways isn’t a man, that just doesn’t seem healthy to me. I think we can all agree humans are not monoliths. We are diverse creatures. All of us with different. And to put these tight labels on masculinity and femininity to me seem toxic. Maybe it’s because I was never able to fit in a box, and rather than stress out and try to conform, I have embraced the differences that made …

I do understand this. I personally don’t have major opinions on it. Yes I’m Jewish but I’m also gay. I never plan on being face to face with a penis, ya know? And I understand the reasoning against it. I guess I’m in a more don’t do it on your child unless medically necessary. When you are an adult do what makes you happy.

I think it would be. Because no human should have to deal with oppression. We only get one life. Why be an asshole Edited : change of word

Maybe we can make a humanist subreddit. Stay clear away from specific labels. Just put it out there like “are you human? If so, we want to help you live your best life” kind of thing.

Preaching to the choir. But you have been such a blessing to discuss with. And I hope you know you have a feminist ally and friend with me. Genuinely, you have been incredibly informative and just a great human. Thank you

Thank you for this great response. Honestly to me any society that is patriarchal or matriarchal is bullshit. We should find people who represent the collective whole as a society to lead, teach and all that. No one person should be trusted just because of race/sex/any other reason. Because it leads to bullshit like this. Every point you laid out there I’m agreeing with. Seriously thank you so much for this response man. All I came here for was an opportunity to learn and promote healthy dialogu…

I do too. Selflessness is one of the most ugly human traits and for women to selfishly lie about paternity sucks. Because not only does it fuck the guy but what about the innocent child? Everything is a domino effect, wether you realize it or not man.

It’s really sad to see two groups who want the same things so divided. It’s why I can’t stand radicals of any side. It’s like the saying, you’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. The radicals are the vinegar. And they can fuck off.

I’m glad you have a good family that supports you. And yeah. Unfortunately pregnancy can be incredibly dangerous for the mother. And just in general, no one except your doctor and yourself should have a say when it comes to medical procedures. I’m pro choice. I personally think abortion is a very sad conclusion but it has to be available, wether due to rape/incest, the fetus is non viable, the mothers physical and mental well-being is not in a secure state or any reason it has to be legal. But I…

I see what you mean by some people being more anti feminist rather than pro mens rights. Unfortunately I think I encountered a few of these people, as it looks like a few of my comments were to me more based off hate rather than trying to build a healthy dialogue. In fact I was even called a hate monger I believe. We should not be mutually exclusive. And I’m truly sorry some feminist shut down some rallies that are trying to talk about real issues men face. And unfortunately every group has a bu…

Thank you for this very informative answer. I’ll definitely be checking out this link you sent me as I love to read more on issues I care about. My biggest question now is how do we end this gap between the two sides, come together to fight as a unit. Should we tear down the terms and go by humanism, and that will include all oppressed groups. Should we be sending feminists to congress to fights on the behalf of men and vice versa? I want to be a good ally. I have two brothers that I care for an…

I’m sorry many feminists have not come and tried to support you with the struggles you face. That’s really fucked up and shouldn’t happen. Unfortunately every group has that random offshoot that you can not stand. For me, everytime a fellow feminist talks about our issues but fails to include mens issues I get pissed off. Like I truly believe the only way to have a good kind of feminism is if it includes everyone in its activism. I truly hope you can find some people that want to support you jus…

I agree with you so much right here. Like I said, sadly most of the mens right activists I’ve encountered only brought up actual issues as a way to kind of either react or undermine feminism and it made me upset. Like dude these are actual things I’m not sure you care about. All you’re doing is reacting to me. Like mens health being stigmatized is seriously fucking our country. I have a brother who recently started therapy and I was so happy for him. I would love my other brother to go but unfor…

So how can we change this? Should we all throw away specific gender based fights and go for a more humanism thing? Because male victims deserve better, I’m with you there. As a child of a survivor and someone who was assaulted no victim should be discriminated against for any reason.
