That's kind of what I'm thinking, given the time of the email, he might not remember doing it. Thanks!

Wonderful! That was my first reaction...but then I started second guessing myself if that would somehow make things worse. Thanks!

I think it's a beautiful juxtaposition to being a caring, helpful, proper lady--to have a fun/unexpected side to you. I think it makes you a complex and dynamic individual who is both reliable and relatable :)

Is it that your SO is bothered by these jokes? Is it that you say them at home (and he doesn't like it?), or you're just trying to not say them at work anymore? I don't know why but dirty humor cracks me up. I can't explain why it just does. Not that it comes up often, but every so often, especially if he's with his guy friends, someone will say something dirty and I crack up giggling with a "Gross!!" thrown in for good measure and they get a kick out of it. Of course there are lines, you know, …

It's happened to me where he's asked "What do you want/think?" and I genuinely don't have a preference. I've responded with "You know, I don't really have a preference but if you'd like me to make the decision I can do that." And then I just flip a coin or make a choice. But honestly, when I put it that way, he usually says "Oh, ok," and makes the decision himself :).

I am 25, almost 26, in a LTR going on 4 years. I would like to be married, but if he did not want the government contract, I would respect that. I still might like to have a wedding of sorts, a "We love each other" party or something. But I trust him completely and if marriage is not important to him then I wouldn't force him into it. I would like to live with him in the future. I would like to be his housewife someday, which I can't imagine working if I did not live with him. Financially it wou…

I love it when a man opens the door for me--it makes me feel like such a lady. I was with a group of a people one time, and one of the women commented about how chivalry is "disgusting, disrespectful, and inherently sexist to women." She boasted about how she snaps at men for doing chivalrous things, and it opened my eyes to why more young men don't even bother doing something nice anymore. When I take public transit, and I can tell a notable difference in certain cities. I have had men outright…

Interesting question! You know, the problem I've had in the past is that I give too much to people. I pride myself in thinking logically and being organized, so when some of my flakier friends get in to trouble or aren't doing things efficiently, I've tried to step in and take over "for their benefit". One of two things happen--either 1) they don't appreciate my interference, which makes me upset because I just did all this work for you! (--when they didn't ask for it), or 2) I get exhausted doi…

Congrats!! So glad to hear that RP is working for you in your early stages :) Keep up the good work! I'm actually an introverted, naturally more quiet person, and I would often be plagued with the anxiety of "OH MY GOSH it's a quiet moment...I should say something....quick think of something...what should I say...OH NO I'M STILL QUIET...OH NO". I actually saw a post in a different Reddit thread a while ago...wish I could remember where it was, but it said something to the effect of, "Think about…

Gotcha. Yeah, try closing your eyes and see how that works. Another amazing male figure in my life is my dad. He enjoys driving, he speeds sometimes or makes a sharp turn and it startles his passengers (i.e., my mom.) As a kid I thought it was great because it was fun, and one thing my dad always said was "You know, I know sometimes it looks like I'm driving crazy, but I am ALWAYS safe. Just remember that--I am ALWAYS safe." And really, he's never been in an accident. So generally, I tend to thi…

I am of the position of not saying anything as well. I get nervous when my SO is driving because I am a terrible driver lol, so I know my fear is irrational (because he is in fact a fabulous driver, never been in an accident as far as I know). My trick is to close my eyes for that moment when I get nervous, so I don't have to worry about it. But, if he's really driving 90+ consistently, as an alternative to saying "I'm scared", you could try saying something like "Sorry babe, I'm feeling a littl…

From one reformed woman to another, I feel your pain and I know that embarrassment. I am also pretty ashamed of how I behaved in the past, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity in my relationship to do better. I'm so glad my SO stayed with me! I think every guy is different, but I can tell you how I react with my SO when these things are brought up, because they are from time to time, in a few different ways. If/when it comes up, I own up to it, especially if I feel embarrassed and ashame…

Oh no, I didn't mean it that literally. Don't let it ACTUALLY get to that point! It seems to me that OP lets things get to "a point" before she decides things to need happen and she takes the reigns. I just meant to see would he really let things get that bad? Because if things aren't taken care of and things go south, that's the path.... What is his motivation for not getting a job, stepping up to the plate? I assume because OP is taking care of things. If she stops taking care of things, he sh…

It makes me sad that after only one year, you're willing to jump ship. Why did you get married in the first place if you're that blase about it? You could have just lived together.

It might be hard to hear but there's saying about needing something to break before it can be fixed. It seems like since you've moved to a new place, he needs time to adjust. If you don't want to wear the pants, take them off. I feel like you're going into this "survival mode" and trying to take care of everything in this new place. When you do that, he'll expect that and not feel motivated to do anything. You see him not motivated and get frustrated and continue to take care of everything. Do y…

I'm curious, was this not an issue before you got married? Did something change, aside from simply moving to a new city? Do you two have any income now that you're in school?

Yay! So happy to hear this! I had always enjoyed "domestic" activities before, but I felt ashamed of it and like I had to be a strong woman who could support herself and didn't have time for frivolous things. I hear my former self echoed in this statement! Like growing up it was all "You can be anything you want to be when you grow up, anything at all!....EXCEPT FOR A HOUSEWIFE, THAT'S SHAMEFUL AND IT'S HURTING THE MOVEMENT." I would rather be happy with my husband than be right. Beautifully sai…

Nice! These comments really stuck with me: My husband thinks it's time to grow and that it'll be an easy transition for me, and I'm going on faith that he knows best. and this one: If and when the job interferes with my family and home, I would ditch the job--without hesitation. Thanks!

Community college classes! They have one near me that offers a Massage Therapist certification program, and while I'm not pursuing the whole program, I can sign up as a "non-degree seeking student" and take the odd class here or there. I actually took a course when I was in college myself, and learned a lot from it. I'm the kind of person where I need some tactile experience at first to really get it, and from there I can look up YouTube videos for other techniques.

Speaking from experience...I have never met a "quality" guy under the age of 25. Call it the new social culture, raging hormones, media influence, I don't know. But an older coworker mentioned something she read from a book that the brain is fully developed around age 25, and I can tell you from personal experience there is a marked difference from guys aged 25+ vs. those under 25. With that said, I'm not saying that right now, you should go for guys who are 25+. Given your personal feelings reg…

Props to everyone who hits the gym! I always feel a little awkward in that environment (and if you don't, all the power to you!!). From your post I gather that you may feel a bit shy--if you find that the gym isn't your scene, I'd recommend taking a class, like yoga, pilates, or group-type personal training, where the instructor is telling you what to do. For myself, I find that type of environment makes it easier to talk to people. Like, "Hey! I see you here every week. What's your name?" And, …

Man, I hear that about swearing! I have a sailor's mouth on me sometimes, an old habit I'm trying to break. I remember a friend telling me "You know, you say **** about 10 times in a sentence. And there are only 10 words in a sentence." My sister got me a little souvenir book from her trip abroad--The Bard's Guide To Abuses And Affronts--and it's quite charming. Quotes from Shakespeare plays, such as, "More of your conversation would infect my brain." Lol!

I'm curious, as an RPW, do you struggle with the expectation of leadership in your position as a supervisor? I found that when I was managing a department before, I had a hard time balancing in-charge-mode at work, and submissive-partner-mode with my SO. I'm actually much happier in my new non-supervisor position, but I'm curious to know how you handle that?

I try to set 6-month goals for myself. The whole "New Years Resolution" thing wasn't working for me (a year was too long), so I try to make some meaningful improvements every six months, and reflect on what I've accomplished/haven't accomplished, etc. Here's what I'm working on: Spend more time with family Dress the part Improve massaging skills Work on budgeting

This is what actually exposed me to the Red Pill concept in the first place (though they don't mention Red Pill explicitly)! I thought it was so well done. I come from a rather feminist upbringing, but always had this secret nagging that I actually, you know, didn't hate men, and I wanted to be a housewife, felt that from high school/college but thought it was "wrong" and "inappropriate", for various reasons. Heard about this show, ordered it off Amazon Video, and was STOKED! It's a great watch,…

I agree on this one completely. Before I discovered Red Pill, my SO and I were living together, and in a big fight we had, one thing I remember clearly is him saying "You're not even happy to see me when I get home!" The truth was that I was overwhelmed at work so by the time I got home I was completely spent, and wasn't smiling or chatty or anything with him. I was just (selfishly) stuck in my own head, not thinking about him at all. It broke my heart to hear that! Now, even if I've had a bad d…

My SO doesn't seem to be too picky. If I'm happy, he's happy :) He's not a huge advocate for heavy make up every day, so recently I've switched to a very light natural look. But I definitely pull out my metallic shadow and black liner for cat eyes if we're going to an event. On the day-to-day I use sheer face powder, light pink blush, champagne + light brown + a little dark brown eye shadow (after eyelid primer--couldn't live without it!), and brown eyeliner. I get my eyebrows and eyelashes tint…

I'll start from when I get home from work: Evening routine - Daily: * Eye make up remover and make-up removing face wipes * Shower. I was my hair every day, but I co-wash (my hair is wavy/curly naturally, and very thick.) I only shampoo maybe 2-3 times per week. * In shower, I comb my fingers through my hair while the conditioner sits to get rid of any tangles. Before washing it out I run a wide-tooth comb through it too. * After shower, lotion all over body. * Wash face (Burt's Bees Soap Bark &…
