The way #METOO will backfire is by men not dating them.

Cottonwood Heights/Sandy/Lehi/West Jordan? (Those are suburbs that I know people in).

Apparently you didn't watch the whole video, where you would realize that he says to invest in multi unit properties instead of single family homes. Go back and watch before you comment.

From my point of view, most women are like that. Not all, but most.

TBH what I see too much on this are basically just women hating.... I'm not a woman hater. Just avoiding marriage.

Well, renting can be throwing money away just as home ownership can be throwing money away especially if you buy in the wrong area. You can come ahead doing both, if you rent cheap apartments and invest the rest each month that you wouldn't have spent on a house, you could easily come way far ahead.

Gee... Why won't men get married?

The post is kind of misleading. It says, home "ownership," when Grant is talking about not to.

I'm in Orange County, CA, and I could only imagine what the Bay is like. I'm looking to save as much money and move out of this God forbidden state. I'm actually not looking to even own property until I'm in my forties, and rent and save for retirement instead.

You know, having a wife & husband team means that they each take care of each other. While the wife may cook & clean and take care of the kids, the husband takes care of the wife by providing a home & money for her and the kids. You know, a MUCH harder job than cooking.

I'll probably go back for something once I know what I want to do. I picked it out just beacuse that's what I was encouraged to do, luckily I didn't pick a bullshit degree though. I'm looking into Western Governors... But only AFTER I know what I want.

I told my parents I should be self sufficient by the time I'm 25, as in having enough money for a decent down payment and an emergency fund, and having a few years work history behind me. So far all I have are four months of help desk work.

My plan's to be here to save on a 20% of a $100,000 condo/townhouse and a one year emergency fund and I'm out. I think I can get to roughly $40,000 within three years.

I was studying for a BBA in Information Systems, which should be in the science or computing school. But no, they ass rape you and put you in the business school and make you take environmental classes, and hate white male classes. Did I mention I'm in Commiefornia? I'd rather live at home for a few years to buy a house out of state.

I left college this semester actually and it was the best thing that I could have done. I have four interviews already lined up and some calls waiting for me to answer, but I held off due to the Holiday's. It doesn't matter as long as I have cheap access to pussy, yes I'm one of "those," MGTOW who still likes to bone women but chances are the whores at ASU may have a higher chance of STD's than the legalized brothels in Nevada

As an Asian MGTOW, women have different kinds of boyfriends within the Asian community, but usually it's 2/3. They have their version of "Chad," they have the provider, and they have the one who is there just in case Chad or Provider won't fall through. It's an actual thing in the Asian community. Although I've never seen more than a few.

I hope that you realize even though MGTOW is not necessarily a political movement, it has the tendancy to be more conservative? On the other note, I did vote Trump. But it's not like one vote in California for Donald Trump really mattered much seeing as the state went for Clinton by a landslide.

I've lived in Utah for a significant amount of time (which is why I mentioned it), and they actually won't bother you if they know you are not Mormon. I'd actually say that about 40-50% of the state are Mormons. I'm looking into the suburbs of Salt Lake City area and housing prices are quite reasonable: you can buy a nice home for under $200,000: which isn't the case where I'm at now.

Why, yes I am!
/r/MGTOW23/12/17 05:50 AM

I'll eventually probably end up in Texas or Utah, they seem to be two states that are very business friendly and have a relatively low cost of living. I'm thinking of Utah because it's close enough to my home state but far enough to avoid a lot of the pitfalls and is conservative.
/r/MGTOW23/12/17 05:48 AM

I'll probably end up in Texas. But still.
/r/MGTOW22/12/17 11:52 PM

I'd like to live in a major metro area for my working career, then retire in a low COL area. I've lived in middle America for a lengthy period of time (Utah), and I know that I'd rather not live there during my youth. Just my $0.02. Not dissing middle America. Texas is an option, but for retirement.

I am going to be starting out at $12 an hour, and then moving up to $15 an hour after training in So-Cal (rent free until I have 20% down and an emergency fund), and then I will be heading southern states. Oh, I hope you didn't mean that I was entitled. In America, you can be in the top 1/3rd of the world if you make $25,000 or more.

What I'm thinking of doing is working a skilled trade job: Plumbing, Electrical in a "high" cost city-Chicago-and retiring in a really low cost city in my forties or fifties in say, Missouri, Texas, etc. I honestly knew school wasn't right for me when I was in my teen years... Just didn't know how to put it. But, I have zero debt. And will continue to remain debt free so I'll be ok

I intend on living in a fly over state for retirement, but money is to be made in major metro areas. I'm looking into Salt Lake City area, or a no tax state like Florida or Tennessee.

Let's just put it this way. I graduated from high school with a 1.7 GPA after having been kicked out from two private high schools (prep) and put into a meat grinder shitty public high school. After actually trying, the best I could weasel out was a 2.6 GPA and I knew it was time for me to quit.
/r/MGTOW21/12/17 07:58 AM

Really? I've always assumed that the rest of the country averaged around $1,000. A starter home here costs around $600,000..... Although I'm in the Irvine area.
/r/MGTOW21/12/17 07:51 AM
1

The rest of the country also seems to be very inexpensive compared to about $1,700 for a one bedroom in my area.
/r/MGTOW21/12/17 07:47 AM
1

Chicago doesn't seem that high priced, I'm from the O.C. and it actually seems a LOT cheaper. $800 for a studio apartment is dirt cheap.
/r/MGTOW21/12/17 07:44 AM

I started questioning this when I took my communications course. It was pretty straight forward, we bought a $200 textbook we never used, that I could have found a different textbook that contained the same information, that the professor said was "mandatory," for the class... And then we had some fees in addition to the class, "speeches," and that was pretty much it.... I could have just gone to toast masters.
/r/MGTOW21/12/17 07:43 AM
2

Let's just say I found out that college was NOT for me and I was not going to allow myself to be paying up the ass for tuition, and "extra fees," for books and info that could be learned for free or cheap online.

My last supervisor was a female employee, she was say, late twenties/early thirties. I didn't know her exact age. She was also in the process of getting married and planning out her whole wedding. And holy shit, all she talked about at work for those few months were just about HER WEDDING DAY. Not about the husband to be, not about her spouse, but about the type of house she wanted to live in and about HER day. And she was spending about $30,000 on the wedding. Hell, I could get a good down paym…
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 11:54 PM

I was just saying that personally, I find the 40 hour work week to be just enough for me. I'm not taking anything away from your personal work/life by saying what my personal preference is for a "work life balance," if I have to use that term. I've also worked with many women before, and while okay as employees, absolutely suck as managers for the ones I've worked under.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 11:32 PM

I didn't know how old you were when you posted, you made no mention of your age, just your geographical location. No need to take umbridge.

I am happy because I am in control of my life. I am happy because I can choose whether or not I want women in my life, and when I can come and go out of my house. I enjoy dating every once in a while, and I enjoy the company of my friends and family. I'm happy because I'm debt free, in good health, and have hobbies and transportation. I also have three meals per day. I don't need much more than that.

I would love to retire in a rural area. Unfortunately for my line of work in the future, I might have to work in say, Atlanta, and find a town outside of Atlanta to retire in. I've heard that startup culture can be quite intense, I'd like to have a typical 9-5 job, and I picked tech because I mostly don't have to work with women, the earning potential, and that I'm good with technology.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 08:33 PM
6

My thought on this is just to be friends with women, but don't date or get married to any one of them.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 06:18 PM
6

Uh, bitch, I wonder why. Really? You're the problem.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 06:17 PM

The bar for me, is that women hold the same standards that they want a man to hold for them. But, since that's not possible, I'm a MGTOW.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 06:09 PM

I looked at her mother and saw that she was abusive, overweight, and debt ridden. Did not want that to happen to me so I bailed. Also didn't respect her husband. Surprise, surprise.
/r/MGTOW17/12/17 06:08 PM
3

The reason why I will never get married-although I will be dating-is because women don't take vows the same way that I take vows, at least from the experiences that I have had. My dog has been more loyal to me than any woman I've ever dated. I've seen women treat their animals better than they've treated me. Look at their mothers. That's who they turn into.

I just needed Calc 1 for my BS in IT. I'm finally done with that shit though! Took it twice, hopefully this time I passed.
/r/MGTOW15/12/17 08:07 AM
2

Part of my strategy is to focus on my major classes more over than my bullshit classes. I'm in a technology major, and my harder classes are VERY intense, leaving me little time to cover my Bullshit classes.
/r/MGTOW15/12/17 07:48 AM

Plus, I think giving preference to Calculus is better than giving preference to studying over a BS comm course.

/r/MGTOW15/12/17 07:41 AM

Buying makes sense if you are buying something small and reasonable, say I buy a one bedroom condo in Utah that's worth $100-$150,000, and I STAY there for 30 years and pay it off. That would be one thing. But that would also put me in the hole 150,000 if I can't pay it back which is what I'm MORE concerned about.
/r/MGTOW15/12/17 02:04 AM
3

You know the crazy thing about that is, men would actually listen. If you did that to a woman she would still go around doing the same dumb crap that put her in the shitty situation in the first place.
/r/MGTOW14/12/17 09:10 PM
5

How can you retire in 7 years? I'm 21 and should graduate when I'm 23 with my STEM degree and I can see retirement by 40 but hopefully by 30.

I hang out with women, just not women that I go to college with: I have a small circle of female friends that are NOT on campus, which is what I do-in case one of them wants to give me hell, she can't run to campus and get me kicked out.
/r/MGTOW12/12/17 11:57 PM
2

Unfortunately, I already live on campus with drunken roommates running around at 3 AM who can't shut off their damn music half the time. I have three more years, then I will acquire diploma. Good thing I will have no debt, though.
/r/MGTOW12/12/17 11:30 PM
3

What's your major? Math? I would assume? At least for your first two years in your GE classes, the classes are bullshit: Intro to Poly Sci, intro to Communications, English 1 and 2, etc. Unless you came in with a lot of AP's. But I'm taking 5 years instead of four because I couldn't get full time during my first year at my community college. FML.
/r/MGTOW12/12/17 09:31 PM

Are women so egotistical that they think that every guy who approaches them wants to get in their pants? No thanks, I won't fuck a single mother, with bastard children with a guy either she kicked out or he left because he didn't want to deal with her anymore.

What part? I'm from the greater Los Angeles area
/r/MGTOW09/12/17 03:50 AM

I'm looking into taking at least a break because I'm still deciding between a few fields: Accounting -> CPA, Information Technology, Commercial Pilot's License: I am aware of the pit falls and costs, trade school, and military. I was also looking into Mining Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering.
/r/MGTOW09/12/17 03:20 AM

I don't want to continue college when I don't know exactly what I want to do. I am not saying college is not worthwhile, but I'm mostly saying that college is not at the right point and time in my personal life. Plus, if and when I do decide to go back, I will only have 2 1/2 years left. If I go back at 25/26/27, I'll be finished when I'm 28/29, which is not old.

1

The only reason why I'm actually not in debt is because my parents are letting me live with them for free until I'm done with college/getting my career started. Seriously, I go to a cheap college by most measures and I'm paying $7,000 a year after parking, and then I pay books, class fees, health fees, RECREATION fees, fuck that shit.
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 07:07 PM

What I'm probably going to do is work in trade fields before choosing which trade, or take a class or two at a community college before deciding what certificate/apprenticeship I should go into.
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 05:01 AM
1

But, I do 1 and 2 very well.
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 04:12 AM

I already do all three except the investing part (well), I need to be at a higher income than $10.50 an hour before I do any of that.
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 04:12 AM
1

The only thing that I'm worried about is being debt free and maintaining that status. Other than that, I don't worry about status.
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 04:04 AM

I was thinking about Mining Engineering or Materials Science if I were to go back. Maybe Geology
/r/MGTOW08/12/17 04:00 AM

Well at my college that doesn't sound like a bad degree because you major in Computer Science and take elective game design classes at the end.

I'll be able to live at home rent free until I've both started my career, saved my emergency fund of 6-12 months, and have a down payment on a house so time isn't really an issue for me. What degree were you pursuing? I tried joining the American Navy but I have medical: Heart condition, that prevented me from joining.

How would I get accepted into a program? Do I need to go to trade school first?

I'm 21, and I've never fit the "academic mold," even though my parents and grandparents, family were all well educated with degrees up the wazoo. I know that I need to pick a real world, applicable degree and nothing fluff like "Business," or "Art History," something in the hard sciences like STEM, premed, or even accounting. I am an IT major, but I was just taking gen ed's, and dabbled into programming but I don't see myself sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours a day. I'm looking into t…

Exactly. And when we get bad grades in school we don't bitch for GPA inflation. We try hard and earn STEM major degrees. Not useless arts.

I don't really care whether or not people are impressed by my lifestyle. I just am looking for what works best for me. I'm a twenty something year old, so I wouldn't be buying a house until my early thirties, and when I do it won't be to impress a woman. It should be a house listed as one built for a man.

Just not in my home state of California.

I think it's because then you stop comparing yourself to others, which was why I had to delete Facebook. Here in Utah, people are already married my age and I'm just here like what the fuck am I doing single?
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:32 PM
1

I did not mean to make it sound like I would just fuck all for my working life, I would live in a position of fuck all because of my minimal expenses, but if I couldn't find work then I would just really cut it down to the bare bone.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:25 PM

Yeah, I tell people that if they have something important to tell me, that they can pick up the phone and give me a call. It pisses people off, IDK why.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:20 PM

I'm not going to go Galt, since I'm in my twenties. I'm not paying 50%, but I know many people in my immediate family who are paying 50%. My cousin makes well over six figures in California as a software developer, but he's just getting by. He's frugal, too. However, If I say have a $50,000 a year salary in texas then I can do that.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:17 PM
1

Well, here's where I'm at. I'm a twenty something college student. I have zero debt. Of course I'm not going to just completely fuck all, but I will fuck all when it comes to dating and courtship, something that I'm not willing to participate in. At least, for now. I will buy a house if I can find a place I want to live in for 15+ years, and save for retirement.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:16 PM
1

Yeah, I'm not going to ghost forever or at least ghost for my working career, that would be wasted time. My goal is to ghost when I'm in my fifties, after a paid off house. I'm thinking Texas, when I try hard I'm trying hard for myself because that's at least a 100% ROI
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:14 PM
1

Well of course, I know that realistically I won't ghost and coast for my life, I'll do that when I'm retired, it's more of a philosophical thought about coasting.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 09:13 PM
16

It's too bad that the only form of social media that I have now is reddit. I've gone cold turkey on Facebook. I never was much into Instagram, Snapchat, etc. People have acted like I fell off the place of the planet when I deleted my Facebook account but there's a reason why I did it.
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 07:15 PM
1

Fair enough, although self preservation for me doesn't take very much. Maybe, $20,000 per year
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 06:44 PM
5

You know what I never understood is that when women don't want to be with a man, it's empowerment, and the right thing to do because men are "abusive, sexist assholes," but when a man decides to be single, and alone, he's "selfish, a pig, and lazy." That's what I never understood. Really? It's okay to be a deadbeat wife but not a deadbeat husband? It's okay for a woman to not work but it's not okay for a man to ghost and make enough money just to get by without hurting anyone else?
/r/MGTOW02/12/17 05:58 AM

Why was this reposted?

In the U.S, utilities are generally not included with rent. That's separate. Gas, phone, electricity, water, etc.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 10:59 PM

Nice! What state, if I can ask? I would like to live on less than $20,000- BUT, make more so that I have enough money to invest and save for retirement.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 09:50 PM
8

For example, I only need $17,000 a year to live off of in Utah. Anything extra is gravy. Edit: At the bare minimum, with roommates, $15,000. But $20,000 or more should be enough for me.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 09:46 PM
15

Like, if I make $50,000 a year, I want to be able to keep all of what I earn after tax and not give it away to useless things like women, a big house that I don't need, etc.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 09:46 PM
12

Well, that's not what I mean by selfish. What I mean by selfish is that I only want to earn enough money to support myself, nobody else.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 09:42 PM
6

It might actually be easier just to say that you're gay instead of defending MGTOW. For example, if I told my parents I were gay (I'm not, but let's say I did), and my friends: they would just leave me the fuck alone.
/r/MGTOW01/12/17 09:10 PM

I'm a selfish human, but at least I fucking admit it.

I am an Eagle Scout, January of 2015. I completed the program during my senior year of high school, and I can say that I will no longer recommend the BSA's programs to any future potential scouters-at least, Boy Scouts. I do like the Venture Patrol, still. I was a part of that and the Order of the Arrow, nominated several years before Eagleing out.

I don't think it's just white single mothers, it should probably be all single mothers. I'm just glad that I got out of a relationship before we talked about marriage, so I didn't have to chop everything off and cut ties, I got out of a one year and a half or so relationship that was getting pretty serious but I needed to leave it because I started seeing flaws.
/r/MGTOW30/11/17 06:09 PM

Sounds about right from my parents, both are Christian, Midwestern types (if you can picture the stereotype).

I would marry when I find a woman who holds up to the standards that they place on men. Unfortunately, I have not found such a woman. Hence MGTOW. I would argue that MGTOW is not a swearing off women entirely, but swearing off the bad ones. I will date if I find a NAWALT, but as that is almost impossible, my stance stays at MGTOW.
/r/MGTOW30/11/17 05:38 AM

MGTOW is in the bible? Huh.
/r/MGTOW30/11/17 05:29 AM

I don't smoke, drink, do drugs, or even drink coffee. Even my mother breaks and bends a lot of the rules that she puts upon myself and the house: that I no longer live in.
/r/MGTOW30/11/17 05:04 AM
14

All I ask for women is to bring to the table what they expect for in a man. If they can do this, I will marry and have a family. However, I have not seen one woman capable of doing this. Hence, MGTOW.
/r/MGTOW30/11/17 03:33 AM

/r/MGTOW29/11/17 12:01 AM

/r/MGTOW29/11/17 12:01 AM

Jesus Christ, what is wrong with some people? Seriously, I mean. Come on, really? Some people need to grow the F up. This guy is to blame too, he's a major simp, cuck hold, and enabler.

My perfect city would be San Diego, being from California, but I would probably not consider purchasing property in Southern California due to the high property taxes, HOA fees, and the amount of liberal tenants wanting "equal treatment," with housing prices: Liberals in SF complain about greedy landlords, California making "affordable housing," mandatory, etc.
/r/MGTOW27/11/17 05:34 PM

Even with women having a distinct advantage in the hiring process, companies know deep down that they need to hire real people with real, tangible skills. This is where being a man comes in handy.

I was thinking more of REIT's, Bond's, etc. And for retirement, I'm looking to buy a small trailer on a plot of land in the mid-west. Or a tiny house, but zoning laws for tiny houses concern me.

Rental properties

Basically, I don't need that much money to survive. $20,000 a year, since I have no debt, rent a cheap apartment, and if I'm not hired or fired then there's really no biggie because I can work a security guard job and that would cover all of my expenses. Plus, it's not like the government won't confiscate retirement accounts in the end, right?
/r/MGTOW27/11/17 02:57 AM
2

Exactly, brother
/r/MGTOW25/11/17 12:35 AM

How did you get that passive income, out of curiosity? Government work? Pension? I'm looking to find some way of having at least a small amount of passive income, which I know won't happen for me for a long time.
/r/MGTOW25/11/17 12:29 AM

Did you do that with real estate? I'm 21 and have no debt, childless, and am pursuing an IT bachelor's degree.

Friendsgiving for mgtow!
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 10:13 PM
1

That's the reason why I have gone full MGTOW. I don't expect a whole lot, just what they expect from a man. That shouldn't be too hard to ask for, right? Brother, I don't plan on dating at least for the foreseeable future. The girl I fucking picked I thought she was a good one, but then she became "lazy," in her caring, keeping up her end of the relationship, that it just wasn't worth keeping. This was after about a year and some change. Still dealing with the breakup, but still. If I'm going to…
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 08:54 PM
3

Damn, I'm 5'5. I wish I were just a couple inches taller and then here you are one upping me. Lol.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 06:15 PM
1

I don't think I expect that much, but maybe I do. I just expect out of a woman what she expects out of me, and when I do find that, then I'll consider dating again. The reason why I broke up with my ex was because she basically belittled every problem that I had to make room for her to talk about her problems, and I decided that if I were to be in an equal relationship, that she would consider mine just as much as hers.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 06:13 PM
1

Again, hence why I'm mgtow. They want a good looking guy with a stable career? That's what I want in a girl.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 07:39 AM
1

What about IT? I'll probably graduate in 2 1/2 years with my degree when I am 23 or 24, at the very latest 25 but I will have zero debt, and I should have around $10,000 in cash as well. Even if that means taking longer to graduate. I live in California, but I will eventually move to Vegas and buy a small condo under $100,000 and pay that fucker off as quickly as I can, while saving for retirement+rental properties.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 12:53 AM
10

As a man, it does not bother me whether or not a woman is taller or shorter than me, what bothers me is how picky they are for men, and then when men set standards: like not wanting to date overweight women, psychotics, etc, then WE are the ones at fault. I don't have many standards, maybe three. Don't be fat or overweight. Have a REAL job or Career, or working towards one (college/trades). Have a normal, sane family that I can get along with.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 12:25 AM

I'm not at all concern about your well being, either, bitch.
/r/MGTOW23/11/17 12:22 AM

I have a policy of not attending company parties, why? Because once I clock out of work, I am done with work. I do not go to work to socialize, I go to work to get a job done and done right. When I'm home, they have no say in what I do. Especially, when I am not working. I will also not work for a company that has alcohol on tap.

I'm a Chinese mgtow, albeit raised in America...

/r/MGTOW22/11/17 04:36 PM

The reason why American culture is "soft," now is because men basically have allowed themselves to women without expecting anything in return, hence a Mangina.

I am attending a two year college and going slow, to pay cash to transfer to a four year university or Western Governors online to pay cash for that as well, and to avoid student loans. One day I'll make it out of California and move to the south or the Mid-West, but I have to make it through college and my first "real," job first.

/r/MGTOW21/11/17 12:45 AM

I'm a young man, the only validation that I need are being debt free, having money in the bank, and going to school for a useful degree and coming out of college with no student loans. I may be graduating when I am 24/25, but being debt free for me is huge. I'd rather go part time, work full time, and be debt free rather than to be like the morons that I know who are going into $40,000 worth of debt for a BA in Psychology (My sister) at an expensive California state school.
