I have herpes and somehow my husband has never gotten it from me, and we take no precautions. He has been tested after us having years of unprotected sex and he didn't have it. It really depends on the state of his immune system. If you want to lessen your chance of outbreaks withiut taking antivirals you can take lysine which is an amino acid. And look up a healthy diet for herpes. You should also avoid foods high in arginine, another amino acid. Outbreaks tend to happen when your immune system…

I did send it to him and he has found everyone's replies very helpful and it has opened up some good conversations for us, so thank you!

My parents are business owners and had a very stressful home life because they worked 10 to 12 hour days. They did a great job providing for us but the dynamics were stressful, with them yelling at eachother constantly and a constant power struggle of who should be in charge. My husband has a single mother who seems to vilify men after her experience with her ex husband. My husband ended up pretty passive from the dynamic he grew up in. We both had decided before meeting eachother that we wanted…

We do have a HSA, and he does have a retirement account through work. They match what he puts in up to an amount so he has been putting the maximum match amount. So that is good, I forgot to mention he does have that as savings.

I did not grasp that it meant he wouldn't save at all. I thought investing sounded like a great idea, but also assumed we would have savings as well. Definitely my fault for assuming and not clarifying

I will check that out! I have the Surrendered Wife but I've only read half of it. Neither of us are too keen on daycare because of our views on health/wellness/child development, but it is something I have toyed with. Or possibly having a family member watch the baby so I could work some.

Yes I think that is a good idea, I'll have to find someone near us that he'd be open to talking to.

I appreciate your response and the time you took to write it all out. I see your points about communication and compromise. These are things we have struggled with in the past, because he is unwilling to compromise on what he wants to do and is not willing to communicate often. I have wondered if couple counseling might be helpful to have an impartial third party to moderate our conversations and help us reach compromises (on both sides). I am not interested in finding someone better, if we hypo…

Not shooting down your idea because that is a good different way to look at it, it's just one of the points of contention between us that he is unwilling to work toward saving money for anything

He doesn't believe in having money in savings because it's "doing nothing" he thinks he should use it to trade stocks or crypto which has proved fruitless.

My husband had low testosterone when we got blood work done prior to conceiving and we still got pregnant first try. He takes a mix of herbs that he says help him feel better and boost testosterone production- fenugreek, tribulus terteris, and one other one I can't think of.

I mean yeah there's probably some guys like you out there, but the men I keep company with don't live their life in that way. You mention your own immaturity being a contributing factor to why you broke up. Do I sometimes miss facets of my relationship with my ex? Yes, that's human. I shared a bond with someone. Am I going to leave my husband to get back together with him? No, that would be unhinged. We've both grown and changed a tremendous amount and are different people now. I take the approa…

Guys forget they have stuff like this. Take it from someone who's had the fights it's not worth it. When my husband and I moved in together and moved his bed we found the empty box from his ex girlfriends vibrator. I lost way too much sleep over it. Now years down the road I know that this man 1. does not hold any feelings for her and 2. he would lose his eyeballs if they weren't attached to his head. Heck he hasn't thrown away boxes from sex toys we've bought because he doesn't want a raccoon t…

This is quite a mix, some of these are things that are just expected of a human, and others seem like they wouldn't lead to a healthy relationship. The white collar job requirement with a salary of 70k plus seems reasonable but anecdotally I've found more blue collar guys are red pill mindset. My husband is a mechanic and makes 140k a year, don't count the tradesmen out ;)

I chose to never give a blow job to any man I wasn't in a committed relationship with. I wish I also hadn't had sex withanyone I wasn't in a relationship with but I can't take it back now.

I met my husband at 25, after years of farming with no sunscreen and doing party drugs. Hypothetically those alone should have aged my appearance quite a bit. Yes I had wrinkles, and didn't look 17 anymore. But 3 years later we're married and about to have our first child. He's a high value guy, holds red pill ideals, provides for me as a stay at home wife, etc. You finding a man to settle down with is not in any way a lofty goal, it's in redibky realistic if you're willing to put the work into …

I was in a similar situation and didn't want to step away for similar reasons as you listed. 2 years later I'm engaged to the man of my dreams, going to have a baby soon, I dont regret leaving my ex for one moment. Don't let fear of the unknown hols you back. Appreciate what you've learned from him and move on. You WILL find the right guy who treats you fairly.

We actually already did that, I just still say fiance because we haven't done the spiritual part in front of our families. Legally he is my husband, I do agree with your point.

A lot of swallowing my pride as someone that didn't grow up in a female submissive home. At first I knew this was the right way but my brain was so hardwired to fight back I had to convince myself to submit. We generally discuss whatever needs to be discussed and he has the final say in it. Early on I did a lot of joking "you're the boss" when he would try to defer to me on something. He grew up with a single mother so our combination was a shit storm for me to try to be in control. I wouldn't s…

I think true love builds upon itself. I've had previous relationships where I thought I loved someone, heck even "knew" I loved them. But it doesn't compare to when you meet the one you're meant to be with. Everything feels easy and simple, and I have a deep seated feeling that no matter what we will be okay. There's no questioning if we're supposed to be together, there is only forever. In the beginning I wasn't infatuated with him, I even told my friend I wasn't sure where this was headed but …

Lots of salt, acid, and fat! I like to do a really rich Caesar dressing and use the enddive instead of romaine

For all the ladies that are still working full time and trying to have a clean house. Break everything into chunks! I used to try to power clean the house every day and it would get exhausting. Now I do 5 minute cleaning tasks before and after work, and work my personal time in there. In the morning I unload the clean dishwasher and reload it. Go walk the dogs (that's fun personal time for me) come back, wipe down the counters and stove. Walk around and tidy anything left around. Sit down and re…

When he has to get to work before me he takes the dogs out so I can sleep in. He makes 75% of our income so I can work on a farm which I love doing. I don't make a lot of money but it makes me happy, and he likes that. He is a rock solid leader. I can be hot headed and emotional sometimes, and he is calm and level headed no matter the situation. No matter what problem I encounter he always helps me get through it. He always has his eye on the bigger picture, and even when I think he's going down…

I cook 95% of our food homemade because we like to eat organic so it saves us money if I do this. And he likes having a homemade lunch to bring to work. I do most of the care of our dogs, I take them on a long walk in the woods every morning. I do most of the house cleaning, he helps me with little things when he can. He works more hours than me because he makes more money, so it makes sense for me to handle most of our day to day tasks. We've agreed he pays for more things, such as rent and uti…

You could just have a conversation about it and leave it up to him. I did that with my fiance. I kept it simple, just a "hey I noticed you have a lot of pictures of your ex, I feel hurt by this because she treated you poorly and it's the first thing people see on your social media. I would appreciate if you took them down, but ultimately it's up to you" He was very receptive to that, but also they had an unhealthy relationship so he hadn't considered the implications of having those up still. So…

I can answer this pre getting in shape. I was about 30 pounds overweight when I was younger, and generally just a basic bitch/chunky girl who dresses to get attention. I would not get hit on in public, if I did it was someone of the same "level" as me or lower. Or it was some blackout drunk guy at a party looking for an easy score. Dating apps were "easy" if I put in all the work and only expected casual sex. I would never find someone who wanted to date me on there. Fwb were easy to find if I m…

The tattoo idea is weird. Part overthinking it it seems to me. If I were you I'd just tell him "I know I'm probably overthinking it but the fact her name was the same as our favorite singer kind of weirds me out, can we be sensitive about this topic." Idk that usually works between my boyfriend and I.

I had a terrible time getting mine in, it was incredibly painful and I almost fainted. And then I had a terrible time with it, cramps so bad I'd be rolling on the ground. All this to say, getting it out was not painful in the least compared to getting it in. A little uncomfortable but not the horrible pain of getting it in. Take long deep breaths to calm your nervous system and keep your muscles relaxed and think about how exciting getting it out is! A little daydreaming always helps me, think a…

I cook dinner every night, and do more of the chores since I work less than him. I also try to tell him every day that I appreciate how hard he works and compliment something else masculine, tell him he's handsome or strong or turns me on ;)

The same thing happened to me, I lost weight and my breasts started to appear quite a bit saggier than I thought they should be at 24. Something that's helped me is liking a specific part of my breast, like my partner lovesss my nipples. So instead of thinking how I wish my whole breast looked different, I think wow my nipples are gorgeous and my partner loves them too. And they're gonna look really good full of milk some day, and not have to stretch so much to do that ;)

Lifting weights increases testosterone SIGNIFICANTLY. If he used to work out all the time and now the gym is closed this may be part of the problem. Just something to think about.

Yeah I definitely get that. It was a relief to see your post that there's other bro girls out there wanting to be feminine too! It sounds really fake to act like that, and it bothered me at first. But the intention is good and the outcome has proven it worth it 🤷‍♀️ good luck on your journey!

I used to have this same problem. I was always one of the bros, and guys loved me as a friend for that. I dated a few guys during this time too, but the relationships were always unhealthy and they would end up cheating on me. Then I dated someone who got into the red pill mindset while we were together. And he sort of forced me into it, but I continued it post break up. I have always been a bit of a tomboy, and I haven't had to change any of my hobbies or interests. I started my change to being…
