I dont know if i would have survived the italy trip. Lol@changing everything to see a cousin. Ridiculous. Mine is great at cooking and grocery shopping but would complain a ton about Comcast (rightfully so). Also good at finding rooms. Good ideas.

Question/Devils advocate - it seems like you are doing all of the work while the wife relaxes. Is that what's going on? Is that ideal? I like relaxing.

I'm currently in the corporate world, getting closer to feeling like "I'd rather be a homeless backpacker traveling the country than to support some asswipe getting richer off my labor." every day.

Been awhile since I read it. But I remember thinking the idea of that section was good, but a lot inside of it was terrible. Something about incessant nagging being good/OK/normal

Deidas book had some good stuff but I thought some of it was terrible advice. More than half was bad IMO

Go about your normal life and not worry about it. It seems like huge decrease in contact is good, but if you want to invite somewhere, why not? If she says no oh well.

Your proposed method of doing so seems poor

I completely agree with you, what you are saying is at odds with the both the post you replied to and the book. The book is saying the constant shit tests are good, you are saying you would get rid of anyone who does that. And I 100% agree with you, it would be better to be single (and looking for someone who doesn't do that).

I don't know if you have been in many relationships but there are some girls (and I hope they are super rare) who will at first let your "good/not care" response to the shit test and be fine and be more attracted to you for it or whatever. But then eventually there becomes a point where she actually wants answers to these terrible shitty questions that I think are a result of her insecurities. It ends up as nagging and becomes a point where you can't shrug it off. It's been awhile since I've rea…

I remember when I read this section thinking I'd rather be alone than deal with shit tests for the rest of my life

Good thoughts. I always thought it was weird to study in a coffee shop, you go in, buy one overpriced drink then hangout for an hour+? The drink takes 10 minutes? I know its normal, but it just seems odd. Like the business would get annoyed at you or something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
