I've been to 30 countries abroad. I've met plenty of American and Australian women and didn't like them one bit. I'm Canadian. Anglophone women to me feel like men with pussies. In corporate ~ they do. It's well documented that younger women outearn younger men in corporate - that's why all the broads in New York can't find anyone to date but their older bosses. There's no excuse for being fat after a pregnancy. If you're sedentary like most moms - you only need 1800 calories for yourself and maybe an additional 400 calories for your carried offspring. That's not how Northern Alberta works. We all work a minimum of two weeks in a month - some work 25 days in a month. I doubt it sucks because it's North Dakota. It's probably because North Dakota only has a half million people (there are probably 'towns' in New York with a bigger population). Alberta has the same climate but is more populated and thus it isn't as bad as there are places to spend your money on your weeks off. I refer more to TPTB. A few companies might make hundreds of millions off these pills but in the long term the tax base and other industries in the economy would take a hit. I don't think it's a question of hard. They've noticed side effects to a lot of pills, going back to the 1950s and earlier, that resulted in temporary sterility. I grew up in Vancouver and like half that city is Asian (maybe 30% Chinese). In certain suburbs it was 50%+ Chinese. Blue Collar is a poor choice in the United States because Mexicans undercut the labour market, unions are weaker in the United States and half the states are "right to work" (where they allow anyone to be an electrician, a plumber, et cetera). The Trades is better - you can start your own business and make millions. The wealthiest people I knew growing up were Glaziers and Carpenters. You did the wrong diploma. Had you done Power Engineering and got your certifications on top, you would be making $240K to $300K working in a camp and on rotation. It's different in Canada. I'm a Process Technician and I made $230K last year and guys at my work crack $300K if they take on extra shifts. I could had been a fullblown chemical engineer - they can make like $300K to $400K if they make executive at a energy company but statistically most people don't make executive (it comes down to cronyism and nepotism to land one of those few available positions in Canada).

I don't work in Oil. I work in Natural Gas and our main buyer in Canada is the United States and they're only paying $3 per MBtu, when they're paying $8-$13 in China / India and $13+ in Europe. Regardless you're assuming it's only the O&G sector which pays well. My skillset is needed in Forestry and Commercial and I can still make a six figure income in that - not as much as $230K but being paid $110K isn't a poverty income.

Not really $100K since age 18 only averages out to $12.5K per year. I know people who had everything paid for during university and they still worked a part time job and saved money during school.
