Good to know... might just stay single or look confused at the grocery store

It's not men and women that have changed, it's how they connect that has. Back in 2023 it felt like Hinge was all the rage. Now everyone I know swears off it and tells me to join a run club or something

I went on a couple of dates with a woman. She was nice, but I decided I wasn't really feeling it. I was just honest and upfront, and kindly told her I wanted to focus on other things in my life and that we should end it here. She freaked out, called me a dick, was very passive aggressive and even said 'have a nice life'. Rejection hurts of course, but even if you're mad about it, it's always best not to show it. Very thankful I didn't let that go on any longer.

Thanks for the advice. But the reason I deleted the apps is so I don't get carried away with dating in general. I'd like to work on myself for a bit and achieve some goals that I have :)

Acquaintance to friend is easy. Just hang out with them, talk to them, listen to them. Be around. Transitioning from friend to girlfriend is unlikely. Ah, the friend zone phenomenon. Stay in it too long and you could be in it forever! You're posting on this subreddit, so I'm assuming you have romantic intentions towards this girl. In that case, I'd highly recommend not becoming her friend yet, and setting an entirely romantic tone right from the start. Friendship will come later. Find a way to g…

Clearly your issue here is confidence. Try to stop caring about what you think people think when they hear what you say, and be yourself. Half the time you say something that you regret, it's usually just you dwelling on it, and no one else. If you have a comment or a compliment that's slightly 'out there' and sexual, say it! Chances are it will just make the girl laugh, and maybe she'll think of you as a possible sexual partner instead of a friend that's scared to say what he wants to. Hope tha…

As an addition to number 7, I find linking her arm with mine is good as well.

Dude, I have the exact same problem. I have gotten laid once or twice in my first year of university, but I still feel the same way. when I step away for a couple minutes and this other guy swoops in outta nowhere This is the motherfucking problem I have had so many times. You need to give the girl you are pursuing your 100% undivided attention and I'm sure eventually you will prevail. I know it's so hard not to step away for a split second and see if your friends are still around, but you can't…

I sometimes have that problem too. When you like a girl it happens though. If she added you back on fb perhaps she does remember you. If not, there's a chance to introduce yourself. Just be natural and don't be too clingy.

Man, honestly, she might not remember that night....or you...too well.

Just start off with a casual "Hey" and go from there. You'll be able to tell right away pretty much if she's interested by how she replies. If all goes well, start up a conversation about anything (life at college, being in a frat etc.)

Yeah man do it. If you met up and made out when you were drunk then you have nothing to lose. If she says no, oh well, and if she says yes, great!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
