So many ‘friends’ So little time...

I’ve been married - that’s what I meant about all the doing for and taking care of - with no reciprocation. Marriage is not an answer - it’s a problem. Some people put a ring on and expect to be taken care of with little reciprocation. I was responsible for my own happiness and love and had an abundant supply. I would have lied to have had the experience of a mutually productive and reciprocal primary relationship. Instead I was shifted to caretaker - pseudo parent. I advise people not to get ma…

It’s a huge part of mine and was never fulfilled - I did the giving and they took. I’m just wired that way. May people are. Some are not and envy them. I feel like a zombie. Uninspired.

19 years is far from overnight and the death of his best friend contributed. He is older with less options and she is everything he’s ever wanted. Reality. He will protect the source of his infatuation - she knows how to play him and does.

I did this 3 times and was starting a 4th... it is depleting and debilitating. Especially when your replacement is treated so much better and they actually reciprocate for them. Like you are just practice for their true love, fostering him until she arrives like some scapegoat place holder. I wish there were more decent partners to choose from. But the competition for their affection is brutal - and the return on investment is bankrupting every resource.

First this is a brilliant summation. One of the best I’ve seen- and I’ve seen and live it. You paid attention and took excellent notes. Screenshot to save- thank you. The only premise that is off? How bold of you to assume there are enough of the kind of partners you describe - a reciprocating, respectful, appreciative and respectful partner - that we can just choose one. They are few and far between and women are competing for them even after they are in a monogamous relationship. It’s cliche f…

‘Every single guy has been a musician’... sigh... weary smile.... there’s your problem right there.

My exhusband’s best man from out of town got high and hit on me before the wedding. Yeah. I held up for my fiancé’s sake and the guy left town again. When his buddy wanted to come back to visit and stay with us I said no and was accused of a wife power trip and that my husband was whipped. I told my husband what happened and was not believed. I was young and we had a child. Luckily by that time buddy was married and brought his lady- I kept my distance. Yeah eventually divorced. Of course- belie…

What advice she needs is to grieve her loss. She thought he felt the same about her. He doesn’t. Forgive him? Nothing to forgive there. Forgive herself for falling in love and assuming the best- yeah work on that. And building new boundaries and ways of being in a new relationship or in her current relationship if she is still involved. She may have been replaced. She may be a choice among others. She has new information and needs to factor that in.

You don’t. Or you already did. He’s got his fan base- he’ll be fine and move on. You can use this time to explore why power is your goal in relationship. Were you modeling after someone? Were you deeply hurt? Were you competing with other females and he’s merely the prize? Do you like feeling dominant to your partner. This a about you- not him. Who are you in this? Fascinating stuff if you can be objective.

You were ‘lovebombed’ and groomed the first few months - that was to make you feel special and secure and to trust them. research those terms. There are others. Learn them. It was so damn lovely at first. Now you are misunderstanding what they said or meant. You are forgetting what really happened. You are misremembering the events. You are projecting your perspective and not dealing with reality. You are getting a little paranoid and not trusting him. You are confused. You aren’t really listeni…

I found the nicer I was - the less they wanted me and the more they took me for granted. Whereas the women that had to work for - they adored.
