Agreed, I was on a form of testosterone, but without health insurance it's like $1000 a month for a refill. Thanks.

Yes, the book by Viktor Frankl. I have read and re-read that book many times over the last 4-5 decades. Did you know he even started a project on the west coast, called the "Statue of Responsibility" to be a mirror to the Statue of Liberty?

I said it wasn't rational. How would you handle being born, unable to ever have kids, a disformed jaw and ear, only able to hear out of your right ear, always short, never going thru puberty. How the fuck do you think you or anyone else could handle that? Well I had no choice to handle it. Maybe I messed up some of my choices. I can live with that. When I was 5 my parents were told I'd be mentally retarded, dead by age 21. So then my idiotic parents told me, and that kind of really pissed me off…

I could be more giving, I'm so used to people rejecting me, that long time ago, I really stopped showing much interest in people outside of work or outside my family. That's a big observation. Giving is a good point.

Anything by Brian Tracy, Napoleon Hill, Ayn Rand, L.E. Modesitt Jr, Louis L'amour, William W. Johnstone, Lawrence Saunders. That's okay, you just focus on you, I'll keep working on me.

Sadly I am lol. Parents and government always tried to push me to be with handicapped people when I was younger or my teens, and I always felt like "fuck that" I'm not a victim, why do I want to be around other victims. Even now I resist the idea that I am handicapped, I hate it.

Was born unable to have kids, ever, but I have a niece I haven't seen in 10 years, and two nephews, who I see regularly, they are 5.5 and 2, cute kids.

Comfort Zone, that's a solid point. A couple of weeks ago, I started going swimming again. That felt good. When your born with very low to no-testosterone, excerize will never do much for me. Even when I still had health insurance and was on a testosterone gel. Your right I give too many excuses. I have done exactly that for my whole life, rather than take courage to do something with my life. I just had honestly lost complete faith in anything.

I've been trying to grow a beard for last 40-50 years, I was born with a non-functioning pituitary/testosterone gland. And I just lost my health insurance. And my job doesn't provide perks or benefits other than the paycheck. Anyhow... I have my own sense of style, wearing fedora hats, trying to grow my beard, drive my new kia niro (go ahead laugh at me).

Priorities and Goals are important I know. Read Brian Tracy's book on goals. I guess I focused so much of my life on what I could never have, I never really focused on what I could have. In a way, I truly feel betrayed by my body. Like by it's predetermined action, I was stuck with a body and life going nowhere, just waiting for the day I die. Only...I just don't want that. One thing you may not know about me, I've been reading about all kinds of stuff like this, and spent most of my life being …

I have a copy of Meditations, and understand a bit of his history, read the book decades ago. I somehow through out my life, kept looking expecting to find a mentor or yoda-type to help me get and stay out of my life-long slump. That's the big issue, I am afraid to be bluntly honest.

I agree, I am a bit of hypocrit, I want attractive women, but can see clealry why they don't choose me. Bravery is important. I do not want to be that I am now, at age 60, which is 3 years from now. Jeez. There has to be a way. I have fridays and sundays off, I could definitely put that time to better use.

TRT, I am not 100% sure what that exactly is. I've been on testosterone, since 1970's, didn't really do much for me. I have body and facial hair, but no real muscle development, ever.

Thank you, much appreciated. You know it is kind of odd and shit-fucked, lol. At age 5, I was told by pretty impressive doctors, think late 1960's, lol. That I was going to be mentally-retarded, die by age 21, and I beat them all. For work I wake up at 5am, drive 27 miles to work, work hard all day, then drive 27 miles back to home. Exactly, we all have our own obstacles. Respect, right back at you.

Atm, below normal, since recently I lost my health insurance, and work doesn't offer any benefits, so I will have to figure out a way to increase my testosterone, without testosterone, since the medication I take is like $1000 for a few bottles, for 1-2 months. I have always been a very low physical energy person, except at work, when I'm really driven, I have lots of drive and inertia and determination, but at home I just feel empty.

That's an interesting, and deep question, and I love that. As a worker, to give my all, to both understand the full life cycle of the work I do, and how it affects my bosses/coworkers, and to do everything I can to make this the best company it can be. As a son, to be respectful, to honor the lessons my parents I have taught me, and try to live up my very successful father's example, in my own way. I've been on Testerone shots since 1980. Recently using gel pumps, but doctors didn't know what dosage to do or use. Anyhow, I mostly came here to talk about mental reprogramming. Even when on Testosterone, I never felt any real muscle growth, or any of the normal puberty changes. ATM, my main focus is on improving my attitude and mindset, I realize what may be normal physical male body, may be not reachable for me.

Not sure how to use this. Long time ago, I being lazy, stopped offering to help others, atm, at age 54, no wife, no kids, no job. Maybe 1 friend in the last 10 years. No one calls me to do stuff for them, and so how do I turn this self-reliance, which i call loneliness into a strength, lol?

Your defense mechanism in reaction to your fears is 100% the cause of your problems, your stress. Focus on something else, focus on what you've gained from all the things you have done or tried or accomplished. Always focus on the positive. No matter how small it may be.
/r/becomeaman02/05/17 11:14 PM
1

Then start focusing on what you'd rather do with the time you waste, then on fixing the wastage. The key strategy is to focus on what you want to do, which is positive, then in what you want to avoid. Focusing on what you want to avoid only makes it stronger. Focusing on what new things or changes you want to take place is stronger. So take a piece of paper and pen, imagine and brainstorm freely, the kinds of things you'd rather spend your time on. Just go with it. Once you have 20-30 ideas down…

Truth. I am 54 now, no wife, can't ever have kids, just lost my job yesterday, so loneliness is very hard. And being born handicapped means it's very hard for me to get people to see the real me, past how I look or appear. So it's been very rare to find a woman who wants me or is attracted to me, or values me.
/r/becomeaman02/05/17 11:10 PM

I think that a balanced cautious but optimistic approach to every relationship is doable. If you've had negative relationships, your defense mechanism tries to avoid all future similar relationships, and unfortunately that defense mechanism is incredibly unhealthy for you. This doesn't mean you ignore the signs, but you also give people enough rope to either prove they are good or not. Just because your a woman or man does not prove/disprove your trustworthiness. Depends on the person, their wor…

Because feminism is not about empowering women, it is about viciously attacking men. I do deny that there are bad people out there, who treat people of any sex, race, gender, etc, wrongly. But instead of working together to make it better for everyone, it's become this vicious cycle of men are always rapist, men are always the cause of the problem, etc. The RedPill, and I'm still a beginner is about empowering men to beat the many psychological warfare that we call dating and socializing to get …

It's not that there aren't things I want to do everyday, I just can't get myself to do them. Somedays, I can get things done, and feel busy and accomplishment, other days, I can't get out of bed barely and I still decades later still have no idea why. I just do not feel in control of my own energy levels, I feel it has become something that is out of my control, that even if I have crap loads of things to do, the energy isn't there, to do anything.

I love Toastmasters, and just trying to see how to make a career out of it, from years of being a shy handicapped introvert geek, not so easy, lol. All I see for jobs based on my experience are either Fast food, warehouse, retail jobs, and I really don't want that.

Yes they are when they demand other people agree with them or become very pushy in pushing their ideas, thoughts, visions onto other people. The idea is nice, but how it is applied is what I am referring to. And just because an idea is popular does not make it a good or wise idea.

Any ism, is, a concretation of an idea, a vision, that may have no relationship to reality, but it sounds good or feel's good, so millions join the ism, to be one of the few, the elite, that are ism'ists. To be strong, really strong, means being willing to be alone, think your own thoughts, live your own life without needing anyone's approval.

Because it's not just about getting sex, it's more about training yourself to be the best man you can be, mind, body, heart and soul. And being far more aware of the manipulative games ladies play. Don't worry about the sex/games part, just use it to be the best whole man you can be, regardless of your sexual preferrences.

It's a social contract. Yes, if your in a relationship, it is cheating, if you do not abide by that contract. If your unhappy, then talk to your SO, and try to make things better. Have honest respectful discussions. Instead it sounds like your looking for a convenient excuse to feel like a victim, when your the actual perpetrator. I would take it real casual. It could turn out to be really a nothing, no problem thing. Or it could be something that's not bad now but maybe so in the future. And there's no real way to know. There is no normal, never has been. I guess you have to evaluate her and your relationship, and see if all the good things over way the bad things. Trust no one, but give them room to either gradually show they have earned that trust, or have not. I don't think anything major is wrong, but it could be that she's lying to you. But I would suggest an approach of. "Hey honey, if your having problems finding some girls to hang out, would you like me to help with that or make any suggestions?". Simply the endless results from generations of poor parenting and poor role models. When we have a culture that discourages good family values, and instead of working towards mutual respect and happiness, endlessly blaming, and attacking each other as the cause for their problems. Of course it's fucked up. If you have parents who treat you like shit, instead of dealing with their own problems, it creates this endless cycle of self-destruction in relationships and in life. This is not merely a sign of anti-men, it's more of a sign of the endless corruption that lives in our culture. That corruption of values that is always about seeking power, at any cost, regardless of who it affects. Lord Acton said it best, "Absolute Power, Corrupts Absolutely". This case like many many others, is truly tragic. I have nothing but respect for Gordon Ramsay. He is a no-nonsense perfectionist and passionate man about his work. He has no tolerance for fake efforts, or unwillingness to learn or improve. Maybe he has an anger and foul mouth problem, but that's really sometimes necessary to get thru thick skulls, that only want to be victims, not winners. Jet Li, what a powerfully subtle actor. To me he is a great non-verbal communicator. He just has this presence of inner power, not sure how accurate that is, but that's just what I get from him. He was awesome in "The Forbidden Kingdom" and many other movies of course.

I remember reading this story about Malcolm X back in late 1980's. Basically it said that he didn't want to waste his time in prison, not sure when that was. So every day that he was in prison, he would read and memorize a new word in the dictionary. So eventually when he got out, he had memorized the whole dictionary.

So be it. If the price of freedom is being targeted by hateful and uninformed others, so what. This is why we develop a thick skin, to know that who we are comes from inside us, not the labels others try to apply to us. But again the histories show the truth, that those who pursue the path of endless hatred, tend to be highly self-destructive.

Brilliant point here. True wisdom comes from listening to everything, asking hard questions, and never assume you know it all, or that you heard all sides. I think we need to go to a deeper truth. Because girls are always playing some kind of game, if she's giving you stuff, and your not in a relationship. To me that's a clear sign she doesn't see you as the relationship type. To what end is our civilization, are we more than workers, family makers, and death, repeated endlessly? Is there no purpose, no dreams anymore? Feminism. For me, it became the moment my mother stopped being my mother and pursued her career. I don't think she understood how valued she was and respect and cherished for her contribution to the home, as it's caretaker, and raiser of 3 boys. That's the problem your comparing yourself with other people, never works, always self-destructs. The other major problem is that you have all these negative messages, that the only way you can talk with people is if you force yourselves too. That is so wrong. Have no fucks or expectations. Relax, and just start talking. Or if you want to practice, there's an International Speaking club called Toastmasters.

Really think upon your model. If you try to be a quiet professional, that's great in your career and work life, but not so good for any social life. Because in social situations it clearly prevents you from being a chatty, conversational person. Maybe you need to rethink what kind of person you want to be in different situations. Or maybe instead of modeling, try to just figure out who you are be the best person of that.

I have no friends, I've had people come over, but they never ask or call or anything. I agree I'm being dramatic. I had friends come over for my last birthday party, but none have called me since. I've gotten so used to people not being interested in me for decades, that I just wait for them to contact me, and if they don't I assume they're not interested. Yes this is a cognitive dissonance, I just don't know how to overcome this. Plus with my hormone problems i have so low energy level or drive…

I have had no luck with women ever, unless it was when I was a kid, I had a few girlfriends then. My last girlfriend died about 4-5 years ago. But I am tired of feeling sorry, I am tired of being a lazy loser wuss.

Maybe that's more about their issues and problems. Just be a good dresser, well groomed. And if ladies don't like you, there are plenty of other fish in the sea who will.

I can feel your frustration. But it's your attitude that is the problem. First off, don't be around people that make you feel bad. Second, grooming and physical health are your friends. Thirdly, we all have limitations, some more or less than other people. Man up, don't waste time being someone your not, be the man you are inside. I would highly suggest you check out this subreddit. /r/TheRedPill

That was kind of the point I was trying to make. But you said it clearer, thank you. I just didn't like how TRP was becoming a religious or non-religious thing, it has nothing to do with either.

To me this is like going off on la-la land. I'm very new to TRP, but it seems more about getting max value of our lives and our sex and our relationships. It's not about any religion, except for that which helps you have a better life.

I can relate to this as well. I was born with a form of dwarfism, my body does not generate growth hormone or testosterone, had to take shots most of my life. I was always the short kid, the looking like not very masculine. Even these days at age 52, I go to restaurants, and am almost always mistaken for being female. But your right, the right attitude can change you. I am finish reading the Book of Pook PDF, which is a life changer. Now I just have to push forward, and start excersizing.

She's using guys to get her rocks off, and as soon as they want to do it in real life, she makes them sound as if they are bad guys. I'd tell her to fuck off, find another victim to have her masturbation games with. And say basically she's not good enough for you. And honestly I'd focus more on meeting girls in real life, not online, because while that may feel safer, it's only destroying your ability and conf…

No it's lifetime of experience. You can choose to push people who are bad people from you, but family needs to be there for the long haul. Wouldn't it be more harmful to push her away, and not help her, or be there and support her towards being a better person. I personally think it's far more harmful to push family members out of your life.

She's still your sister, you don't have to like all your relatives, siblings, etc. Or approve of how they live their lives. But your still related, and should try to keep a lifeline going, because it's better to have some connection, and then someday when she's more ready and mature, she will appreciate you. But not if you distant yourself from her. I am not in any way defending her, but she's still your sister. I have had a middle brother who was so narcisstic, I could have ended my connection …

Kids need two parents, to raise them and be role models for them. I am not saying it isn't doable with one parent. I am saying, looking at stats, and how marriage has declined because our culture and media encourage irresponsibility in sexual relationships, has hurt our children.

Either what your saying has too much fluff, and not enough sustenance, or your not listening enough to what they say and mean. Can't learn, if you do not listen and pay attention to other people's criticism. Doesn't mean they are always right, but at least seriously consider what the say, then make up your own mind, what to do about it.

You have to find the balance between meeting your needs and other peoples.
/r/seduction20/05/14 07:34 AM

Because neediness is a defense mechanism. A defense mechanism that pushes other people away, because your so afraid of being hurt, that you push people away because it's safer than being open and opening yourself to other people. So stop the neediness, and just be honest and open.

For me there is a difference between being polite and respectful, and being too passive, and let people walk all over me. But this is really a give and take balancing lesson. If someone is nice to me, then I am nice to them. If someone is mean to me, then I ignore them.

Life is all about change and adaptability. I have had a life full of ups and downs and too much depression. And for too long I let depression keep me stuck. Only in 2013 I decided to change my life, by starting off to change my perspective. If you want real change, you must be willing to take emotional risk and look like a fool :)

We all have different environments we came from, and we all have different psychoemotional barriers to overcome. Instead of trying to figure out where it came from, identify exactly what you are afraid of. For me, I was so afraid of being rejected by people, I developed the incorrect approach of pushing people away from me. Look at how you react and behave in different circumstances, most of the ways we react to things we do not like are extremely wrong and unhealthy. So gradually be more and mo…

Your neediness, is an instinct built upon your feeling that you won't get your real needs met, so that instead of waiting, and developing a mutual win-win relationship, you give into that me/narcissticness, and demand your needs are met. Instead you need to keep cool, relaxed, focus on give/take balance, so that it is a win-win, healthy relationship.

Girls never initiate or rarely initiate. If you want relationships, you must develop the courage or fake it, to take the initiate yourself. Like you, millions of us are so afraid of rejection, that we instead push people away, is that really the kind of life you want? This is not anything to do with your or their height, the real problem and cause is your own endless negative self-messages. You keep telling yourself you will fail, so you do fail. If you want that to end, then you need to stop telling yourself all the negative messages. I used to worry about this as well, I'm 5'4", and there are tons of guys shorter than me, that are far luckier with women. But the key to the size of the man, is not their physicality, but their attitude and perceptions.

I am sorry for your pain and suffering. And there is truth, that what makes you suffer and you survive it, will make you far stronger. You sound like a good man and a good father. Your daughter will have a good life, because of how hard you will work to make it happen. You can't change the past. I've never seen anyone in this group ever talk about oppressing women. I think that either sex is equally capable of being evil or doing destructive things. Victimhood is not a wise choice in life, because that leads to a life full of saying that anything I do is okay, because I'm a victim. I know this because I had that choice, because I was born handicapped in several ways. I saw how that path is a self-destructive one. I think that being a certain sex does not make you worse nor better than anyone else. It's just a clutch or an easy way to feel like a victim. There are natural cycles of life, and those aren't necessarily bad things. We must understand nature, and work with it, to harmonize and balance with life.

It's your mentality that is the handicap, not the actual work. The more you see yourself as unattractive, the more you push away possible girls who might be interested in you. No matter how good you look or not, it is mostly your attitude and perception about yourself, that will either attract or push them away. This is apart of your life, share it with those you like and care for.

Brilliant! Exactly right. You keep waiting for someone else to give you abundence or good things in life, and you'll be very dissatisfied. If you go and be creative and go do something that gives a product or service to people, you build your business in small daily steps.

Because it's all about selling. First before they can sell, they must have a target demographic. And if there are new trends in social patterns they must change their ads to appeal to them. Personally I am getting more and more inured to ads. I pay them no sense, because they have NO VALUE. There is never any commercial that makes any sense or has any redeeming value, other than a waste of time and space.

I find that what I agree with is that everyone, every sex, has the right to pursue it's own life, it's own path to that life, however it wants, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of other people. However, the second, a child is born, all that must be put aside, and the parents must work out arrangement so that the financial, psychological and emotional and physical health of the child is taken care of. Truth is truth. Evil exists in both sexes, just as good exists in both sexes. This is part of the sadness of this drive to be the ultimate victim, as if victimhood is something of value. We have a tragic culture that exemplifies victims. Instead of rewarding and encouraging better role models. And encouraging and rewarding good behavior. Instead all we have is political correctness crap, which is really all about lying and denying reality, because it might be hurtful or painful. Life can be pain…
