I feel you about the employment. My business of 13 yrs went under nearly 2 yrs ago. I’m over 50 and haven’t worked for anyone else since 2011; so no real references or easy link back to my former career. Have you considered a training only or educational path? I first went into a major depression. We were already divorced, but I lost custody of my daughter. Took me awhile to shake off my mental issues, but still never got a job offer. I recently got accepted into a hospital run RN program. It’s …

Yes, every word, every syllable, every sound, every thought, every idea, every suggestion… Or, or wait for it, if you had reading comprehension of written English , I simply take “less” stock in what she says in a respectful and agreeable manner. As I literally wrote in my post and also praised my mother for her numerous contributions in my life. You can interpret what I clearly wrote however you want. I stated very clearly my thoughts. You have preconceived notions of who I am and what I think,…

It’s depends on their level positivity or negativity they add to your life. Believe it or not, my mother is an incredibly positive influence in my life and everyone she meets for that matter. She is not only a rare exception, but I’ve learned as I get older she is not always worth listening to. She almost always has good intentions (first off, that’s a rarity in anyone, much less a woman), I find that her opinions are less appropriate to my situation. So, I nod and take it in, but increasingly I…

You’re only partially correct on the physiological differences between the genders. This incomplete answer addresses why women make incorrect assumptions on this topic. It’s not just the cycling of hormones, it’s the sheer volume and peak of men’s hormone of testosterone—the same hormone that women possess, but in far less quantity. If women are given testosterone artificially via injection or otherwise, female sex drive (and aggression) spikes massively with that higher testosterone level. On a…

Gentlemen (this is a men’s sub, right?) I present to you the solipsistic nature of women. Read the few answers and it’s self evident to those that don’t suffer from the phenomenon. Other poster: the coercion into sex tangent, the false assumption that post partum is even the cause of most sexual deserts in marriage is a) a straw man b) one that I didn’t even make, but is just assumed as causal by the other poster. I’m not going to roped into a being yet another Bad Guy in Marriage (TM) for an ar…

I really don’t care what you asked. Go ask some other man to do your bidding. Google is free. I was referring to a similar, but not exactly the same case of domestic violence studies; plus, I wasn’t the OP. See if the OP answers the demands of a women nosing her way into a men’s sub.

It seems you think that as long as you aspire to higher standards everyone else will too. It’s like the French Resistance vs the Germans in occupied France or perhaps the Viet Cong in Vietnam. They served the enemy coffee and croissants in cafes by day, and blew them up by night. Not realizing someone is at war with you doesn’t make them any less dangerous to you. Also, not engaging in a battle doesn’t mean you won’t get hit in the crossfire. You seem like the latter. It’s nice and naive and eas…

Everything you wrote is pure idealist fantasy. And the group of people who are doing their best to make that as far from reality is the American feminist. Believe me, most men would love to live how you described. Most men still are attempting to live as you describe, foolishly I may add. It’s foolish when the legal system is designed and implemented to demolish the efforts of men toward the idealistic vision you describe. If you are a minority of women who aspire your vision, and society fails …

The irony of your response is massive..YOU see news reports…YOU assume that is the reality, all because YOU feel that way. Read the definition of solipsism again. 50,000 US men are currently in prison for rape; but YOU read a few news headlines so that all that’s happening. Tommy McKay is one of the British resources from England citing massive fall allegations during divorce proceedings. He’s not the researcher I was talking about, though. There are more.

If the 401k is minimal, don’t spend legal time(money) pursuing it. Some general advice about the dog. I’m not a lawyer, but I did spend 5 yrs and $200k divorcing, so I have quite education on these things. Generally speaking in law, possession is 9/10s of the law. You have the dog, she choose to leave it behind. Could she try to get back legally? Yes, anything is possible but it all costs money to pursue in court. It sounds like she doesn’t have much money either, so if you stand your ground wit…

Pro tip: always email a lawyer first, then call only if necessary. That’s for after you hire one formerly. You can usually get a free consult before hiring a lawyer. It’s usually an hour and they get the gist of your case and you can ask some questions for free but generally get to know how they work and if you think they can be trusted.

But, that’s precisely what’s happened. They demand a seat at the table but then demand that table to be slanted to make up for their shortcomings. A jobs physical demands, for example, of police, military and firefighters. If a male firefighter is required to drag a 200lb body 20 yds, why wouldn’t a female firefighter be expected to do the same, etc, etc.

So, if someone doesn’t have a house, why haven’t you bought them one? If someone is hungry, why haven’t you feed them? And how dare you have an opinion until you individually solve their problems. See how that works? Google the definition of solipsism.

There is a similar study pertaining to false allegations that occur during divorce proceedings. It’s made by a female from England I believe. She found that nearly 80% of accusations were demonstrably false, and likely higher but couldn’t 100% rule out or the abuse was two sided. She was able to replicate her results across several countries. I don’t have her name, possibly Catherine something, google it. She was canceled because by academic feminist simply because she told the real truth.

Sorry, that’s delusional. The roads you drive and the car you drive are made by 90% men; the design of that car is nearly 100% men. The toilet you shit in? Installed by a male plumber. Same with the electric. In fact, nearly everything in your house was 90% designed and installed by men, with the possible exception of your curtains. Go to a construction job site. These are good answers, especially #1. Why will this help? It will revolutionize the marriage and dating market. The vast majority of modern marriages are prison sentences for the man. The female is either actively denying sex or will soon do so. Think I’m wrong or you’re the exception? Just wait. The tipping point is 2 kids and or 10 yrs of marriage. At that point the majority of marriages have become sexual deserts. Not 100% of marriages are this way, but the vast majority are, say approximate…

The courts must at the very least monitor this situation, by law in most situations. It’s not ok for her to have any person over 18 share a home overnight, at least not without court visibility. His name, age, social and possibly his criminal background check can be demanded. If the check reveals any issues, you can petition the court for his removal.

While I don’t believe lawyers would advise this, wives don’t need the recommendation; they already know. This isn’t necessarily a reason to not proceed with a divorce, but you must plan for this possibility, it’s very likely. Time your divorce and plan to leave the residence, but make sure your lawyer asserts you retain full equity rights. I don’t have solid data of the frequency of this accusation, but there’s ample evidence (academic research) that proves such DV accusations are largely false,…

While it’s laudable you sacrificed during your marriage, Men must understand that women are simply not built that way. Women will not be there for better or worse, not for any significant period of time. Women don’t marry for better or worse, they marry for “better get what I want”. You are obligated to fulfill that desire, but the reciprocal is not true for you, much less you even have the audacity to ask for your desires. Further, what a wife wants will change like the weather. If all parties …

Yeah, it’s a double edged sword. In my case it cost me over $200k in a 5 yr window. My income was lower significantly, so she was able to bleed me dry through legal fees and prolonged court battles. Girls currently outnumber boys at all universities in the United States. Google it. More girls than boys graduate from HS, college. More women are currently enrolled in medical school, law school and many stem programs. This didn’t happen by chance. It was a methodical strategy driven by preferential treatment for women enrollment over accepting men into these programs. When does this “historically” underrepresentation catch up with the modern day real world environment?

Bro, the selective service draft registration of men only has been in continuous operation since 1975, and intermittently before that since 1940. How do you twist that into a republican issue? Democrats have had not just numerous presidents but controlled Congress many times, to include a super majority recently under Obama. You are completely captive to your own bias if you think this is a Republican only issue.
/r/MensRights12/05/26 05:33 PM

I can’t find one word in print or verbal from any Democrat politician even hinting at abolishing the selective service for men. Ever. How do you make that a partisan issue? Libertarians are on the record for that, but it shows your mind is awfully biased to support a 2 party system on an issue that has 100% bipartisan support from R’s & D’s.

Hence why I said it’s harder to do than to say. You call it a natural reaction, perhaps that’s correct. But she knows that too before she did whatever she did to evoke that response. Reactions can be trained to respond to stimuli , and without being robotic also. It takes work. Begin that work now as a young man. Your first paragraph is an entirely incorrect premise. It’s not that it’s biological gender tendencies OR social programming. It’s both. You’ve fallen into the false premise that it’s an either/ or situation. In fact, that is literally never the case. What she’s proposing is backing you into an arrangement of seeing your kids, but as if she has sole custody. You would owe her a ridiculous amount of child support. First point, up front: Marriage is not for Men. Marriage in modern western civilization is for women primarily and to a lesser extent, the kids. So, yes, in this context, what your experiencing is commonplace. Mind you, its bad, but it's a typical experience in which females dominate the marriage and family sphere. Consider yourself lucky that it ended before you had kids together. Typically the woman wants children, but has no interest in a husband, at least not after said children arrive. Usually the typical plan is to raise the kids as she sees fit, but without you present and still on your dime.

What songs (or other cultural media) do you know where the protagonist of the plot is a man killing a woman? Where that is the topic, the foil is always the man and the woman is the innocent victim. These are not the same.

Ok, then limit all conversation to the kids. Technically as adults, unless you have some sort of decree demanding that cooperation you have no obligation. You don’t even have to be mad or bitter about it. Just don’t communicate. It’s a choice to communicate outside mandated topics related to the children. It’s also a choice to be bitter. Choose to be better, make her the past. If her words are having any impact on you she still controls you. And clearly you not focused on you new life.

There's a cluster of traits it seems here that are common among women. The makeup thing is about appearances to external society and little to do with the inner circle of her life. To whatever degree, you gave her a social standing and that is most important biologically to women. Further as someone pointed out, her commitment was always to the feelings you gave her, not actually you. I wish someone had explained these things to me when I was a younger man.

Really depends on who wants to continue living at the house, big factor. You didn't say it, but are you either the only breadwinner or the majority income breadwinner? She will likely take 1/2 your retirement pay, 1/2 the equity of the house, etc. That's why who will live there is an essential question. If you move out, she owes you 50% of the equity for the house. You are scraping at the surface of an issue that is much deeper and biologically based. You know what? Go ahead and criticize us. Seriously, after all, we are MEN. Not one human has ever hesitated to criticize men. You sound like a woman (are you?) Real men just think, act and do in the arena. What you are actually seeking is "consensus", which is massively feminine. Be a freaking man: say what you think, speak your criticisms and opinions, and subject yourself to the responding criticisms. Go ahead. But, take your feminist attempts to corral a movement and shove it.

Laws must change. False accusations like this or rape should carry a criminal penalty, not just civil litigation penalties. I think it should equal the crime they falsely accused. Then maybe this largely female based phenomenon would end.

You’re on the right track, these 2 categories play a huge role. There was also a recent study that showed the role birth control medications in divorce. I heard it rather than read it, so if anyone has a link that would be great. Basically the study says that while on birth control females are hormonally attracted to one kind of man; then while married they go off birth control and they are biologically no longer attracted to their partners. So, one more way deck is stacked against men.

This is reason number 1001 why men should never marry. Please stop young men. It’s literally insane why you would get married in an American/western society. The data is there. The information is available that it makes no sense for a man to marry. Even the best potential part of marriage—children & family are not really allowed for men. Children are a trap that women use against you and you will in short order be taken from you anyway. The odds of a successful marriage are slim to none, unless …

Your story is about zepbound, but it could have been anything. It’s more about the nature of women—they are driven by biological imperatives and concepts like hypergamy. Women are always seeking to level up, compete with the Jones, etc. That nature doesn’t change when they marry. They expect a man to level up and do more. Not your fault per se. And when she leveled up via zepbound she thought she had more tools by which she could level up. Everyone thinks these things just happen, but they were …

Those ratio numbers will help you in the divorce proceedings, but to be honest, the discrepancy in incomes is one reason for the divorce. I’m not trying to knock you down, I’m just saying that’s the nature of women; coming from a man who made good money, but married a woman making exceptional amounts of money. The hypergamy effect is always in play. You were either expected to level up and make more money, or were just a placeholder for her in the first place. What I’m saying sounds cold hearted…

Extensive research and marriage counselors experience shows that typically men cheat to STAY married. Ie, the dead bedroom you describe leads to men straying. The opposite is true for women. Women cheat to leave the marriage and typically check out emotionally long before they leave. Also, when they decide to leave they almost never return, it’s a final decision. About 80% of marriages women seek divorce, closer to 90% if she has a college degree. So, why would women even want to get married? Ea…

Young men need to see this and adjust accordingly. Marriage licenses shouldn’t ever be printed again. They say it’s decreasing, but I’m shocked that a single US male under forty has gotten married the last 5 years. It must come to that for the pendulum to swing back to have even a semblance of equality. I think young men should reject American females en masse. They should focus on themselves and their goals. Then, after achieving success should look for a bride from a non western, feminist pois…

Unfortunately a decent slice of US population does think this way. To your point, not all, but a decent chunk of America this is reality. Also to your point, men need to realize a decent chunk of their surrounding people should be excluded from their personal lives, if only for self preservation.

Men need to seriously reevaluate all their relationships with women. Your experience is not that uncommon. It’s actually common enough that we need to acknowledge that it’s part of their nature. Young men—Listen to me— women do not and cannot love you. They may love you for what you provide them, but not you. They may love how you make them feel, but not you. Anyone who has worked in healthcare or actually look at suicide data, psychology research it’s well established that women are not usually intending to complete the act of suicide. To naively assume that women simply don’t know that guns are effective stands in opposition to your belief that guns are you”bad”.
/r/MensRights24/02/26 07:27 PM

Always interesting that it’s described as “reproductive” rights, an act necessarily involving both genders, yet men don’t have this right. Never in legal history has a man had the right to impose pregnancy termination if he doesn’t want the child. I’m not pro-abortion at all, but the pretzel logic is flabbergasting. There are documented cases where men have been forced child support for children that aren’t biologically theirs.
/r/MensRights24/02/26 07:21 PM

If we truly understand females nature, their suicide attempts are merely a cry for attention. Men actually are in pain and will follow through. I love how the author plays dumb as if women simply don’t know that guns are more effective means. They know, they want the resultant attention not the actual result.

In the midst of an affair women sign to file divorce, but oftentimes in the legal process begin to fight it when they realize how lucrative it is, or the affair goes south. I implore you to observe and ask a few questions: How many women (SAHM or working moms) mow their own yards? Or any outside yard work? Trim bushes, weed whacking, rake leaves, etc? Take out the trash? How about car maintenance? Change oil? Repair and maintain lawn movers and other power equipment? Paint the shed? Power wash the siding?…

Me too on the not looking directly at her. Can’t explain why I do that. I think it helps me not give in to any kind of reaction. It also sends a message to her that I don’t even care that she exists. It’s not a matter of fear, it’s like a natural posture of I can’t stand the sight of her, but minus any of the emotion or negativity. I guess it the Gray rock that they describe. I don’t really even try it, it’s become natural. Weird that so many of us experience it the same way.

My brother, take it from a guy who has lost a quarter million in legal fees, pay the $5k. That’s a retainer; if she is truly amicable then the process won’t cost that much in the final bill. Secondly, child support. If you agree to it outside the courts, then she can always change her mind later and file with domestic relations directly with minimal legal costs on her end. CS is capped and greatly diminished with 50/50 custody. Therefore, first step should be to formalize a 50/50 custody stipula…

Might wanna rethink that. It’s early and misogyny has a lasting appeal.

I think I correct transaction of I love you but I’m not in love with you is: I’m fucking someone else right now, but I use you for financial support and free child care. It’s so much more than I don’t love you anymore!

This is a classic example of female solipsism and the lack of empathy and frankly, objective thinking. Yes, women do work. You obviously do, so why not turn into being about you than the issue being discussed? I’m sure you’re not even cognizant of the self centered nature of your response-that doesn’t fly with “me”. I will probably offend you, that’s not my intent. My intent is to enlighten the sub highlight your perfect example of said female indifference. If you were to answer objectively-with…

They don’t get it for the reasons you mention; most have no experience in a physically demanding job. But it’s far deeper than that. Men are essentially livestock for their wives and families. We serve as the mules for the family, yard work, labor, fixing things, etc. We are valued purely for what we can do or produce. Women largely get by on looks. They wake up and are attractive to us. They do what they can to enhance or maintain that beauty-many don’t even do that. It’s based on resting, looki…

My wife cheated on me w the founder or the largest Christian charity in our county. How’s that for Christian values? His wife found out before me and told me with proof. The Christian leader was caught. What’d he do? Didn’t stop and said he would better father to my child. I protested to my church and the charity. What did those “Christians” do? They formally covered it up! Even had a “Christian” law firm threaten me with legal action to silence me. All they cared about was their public image. S…

You absolutely did the right thing. She is looking for cover for her immoral actions. It’s a trap—not now, not ever should you agree. By making everything “normal” it’s like you agree or accept her actions. You have no responsibility to do so. Her actions have consequences. It’s ok to teach your kids that. You’re not the bad guy here;

Ask yourself one thing: do you feel strong, self confident and THEN feel you want her back? Or do you feel weak, needy and lacking self confidence and want to beg her to come back into your life and help you/fix you? You know the right answer yourself. However, it’s likely you’ve been trained or manipulated by her into this pathetic state(pardon my bluntness). The way you feel is not an accident, it’s likely her plan. The Amber Heard female is not nearly as rare as society would have us believe.…
