I was born in the 80s and my mother had an epidural! Or do you mean the 1780s when you seemed to have been born?

If a woman chooses to be a lesbian Oh come on, this has to be a troll/plant. Are you claiming men choose to be gay as well?

I don't think Homer is a bad dad... He's dedicated to his wife, has a full-time stable job, he supports his children's hobbies. He's unintelligent and kind of dopey but he's hardly a bad father. He may be incompetent at many areas of life but he's a good dad at least.

I have a feeling it's just a cash cow for American hospitals. That and a hang over from the Kellogg days. In baby boys the foreskin is attached to the glans like a fingernail is attached to the finger. It naturally separates as the boy gets older and grows. In the rare case the boy gets phimosis you can do gentle stretching or use creams. Surgery should never be the first option.

As in you have 2 nuts or you haven't orgasmed with each partner? If it's the latter I feel ya bro. If it's the former I have 0 nuts.

I think we're both kind of right. People who brag about and value their high n count are unattractive. People who think their partner wants to hear about sexploits and one night stands. Don't get me wrong I have discussed past relationships with my fiancé but never sex details. People who value the QUANTITY over QUALITY are more likely to cheat. However, I have had 2 partners who were virgins and they both left me ASAP because I'd finally popped their cherry and they wanted to fuck as many peopl…

I've got to be honest, I'm a 34 year old woman and I can barely remember what I did last weekend let alone some sex I had 10 years ago. The reason I love sex with my fiancé is not because he has a monster wang or has crazy kinky moves, but because we love each other a lot and want to make each other happy. By far the best sex you can have is the sex where you're both focusing on the other person.

You could have had sex with 1, 10 or 100 people but as long as you're respectful, loving and communicate well with your partner it doesn't matter. The main thing is getting to know your partner as an individual with wants and needs unique to them. The distressing thing about all these guys wanting 'experience' is that they are only thinking about themselves. They don't see women as more than just a hole to wank into. That's why there's always a few 'legalise prostitution' comments on these posts…

What does the n stand for? Nut? Lol I guess it's different for different people. A lesbian who has never had PIV would not consider herself a virgin after having sex with a partner, but I get the feeling some blokes only consider Penetration By The Mighty Penis as 'real sex'. Kinda sad really, they're focusing on completely the wrong thing. No lady would want to have sex with a guy who's had 30 one-night-stands because chances are he'll be selfish and crap in bed. Maybe it's different for differ…

What is n-count, like the amount of partners you've had? Is this actually a thing people talk about? I remember my ex bragging that he'd 'lost count at 50' but it was totally unwanted information and it really turned me off him. I thought it was just him being a weirdo but maybe it's an American guy thing? No other partners of mine have bragged about their previous sex to me. Gross.

Very simple answer; we don't. I have dated a few guys who turned out to be virgins (didn't tell me til later) and they both ended up leaving for 'pastures new', eg I gave them sexual confidence and they decided to go out and see how much more they can get. Funnily enough the answer was 'not a lot', if you are a virgin for 30+ years and have sex with 1 woman that doesn't give you a big glowing 'stud' label. I don't know how many people my fiancé has slept with and have never asked, and he's never…

I'm from England and unfortunately life sentences are often not so. IANAL but as far as I'm aware, life generally means [whatever] before parole. It's quite rare for judges to grant life without parole, unless the criminal is particularly monstrous. Then they are usually in some kind of mental institution... I might be wrong, but that's the impression I got from various reading?? I'm all for being corrected if I'm wrong, this sort of stuff is very interesting (in a morbid way).

Is that the same as perverting the courts of justice, or whatever it's called? Yes I agree, the lying and wasted resources should definitely be taken into account (not to mention it would serve a better example to others).

As a woman, I think false rape claims are the worst. They make it harder for everyone (men and women) to get justice when they need it. They should serve the sentence that the rapist would have got.

I'm British and have dated both circumcised and uncircumcised men. I know some of my friends got it done as teens or adults for comfort and medical reasons. I think it's absolutely a decision that should be made by someone aged 18+ (or maybe 16 with parental consent). I understand that there's religious reasons, too, but it doesn't make it any less wrong. It's 2020 - the time for cutting little bits off babies to pacify adults should be long gone. Btw I am the furthest thing from racist or bigot…

I wish they'd make male genital mutilation illegal - infant circumcision is crazy. The foreskin is attached to the glans of the penis like a fingernail to the nail nailbed at that age. It comes away naturally with age. It's supposed to be there to protect the sensitive glans! Not be ripped away from a baby who has no idea what his penis is even for yet. I know it's an American cultural thing, and maybe I'm a bit ignorant, but I think that unless it's for a medical reason (and what reason could t…

That's a shame. Do you think that's because the women in their lives are unwilling to understand, or the men don't want to explain, or like a mixture of refusing to meet in the middle? I think it's important to try and understand your partner's stance, even if you don't full appreciate the reason for their emotion at the time. I feel it helps you understand them more as a person :)

I agree with the 'many women do get emotional for reasons that men often see as not reason enough to get that emotional over', although as a woman who doesn't ovulate/menstruate (sorry if TMI) this has not really affected me much. I am aware of hormonal emotion stuff - one of my friends is really bad for it and she hates how it makes her feel. And it's definitely not just to do with hormones, either. I do think some girls/women get overly upset weird reasons, but luckily most of my friends are q…

In the nicest possible way, I think you are definitely projecting someone else onto my comment. I've never asked anyone to help me sort through my emotions or insecurities on a regular basis - and I actually find it very irritating when someone needs constant emotional validation and never asks how I am. Ew that sounds horrendous. I briefly dated a guy like that, he was just generally unhygienic. He might change if you guys move in together, he might not. You just need to sit and chat about your expectations before you take the leap. That's what I would do. Just don't end up being a replacement mother/maid (unless you want to, I guess). How old his he? He sounds like a bit of a slob to be honest. Doesn't he take pride in his living space? I guess it's his house, though. You could ask he comes ro…

I don't know about ALL men, but considering I am 30 years old, in a relationship and am a Masters degree trained psychotherapist/counsellor I like to think I know a fair bit about people. And men are people. And the men in my life (friends, bf, family etc) seem pretty happy to me. I guess that's the important thing. I'd say if certain men feel default-worthless then they need to work on boosting their own self-esteem and confidence. I would be wary of people who blame their self-worth solely on …

I do all this stuff because I live on my own and there's no-one else to do it. But as someone who works 40+ hours a week in a stressful IT/programming job, and considering my ex worked 35 hrs & I earned twice as much as him, you can absolutely guarantee our chores were equally shared. I'd do the laundry and hoovering/bathroom, he would do the bins and dishes & mopping. Also - curious - 10 minutes to make the bed? I must be doing it wrong because it takes me 30 seconds. I don't have a dishwasher.…

This isn't objectively true, but it is the way men view themselves and the way that women view men. Men must accomplish and achieve to become a something. Absolutely not true. You have been hanging around the wrong women - I've never met anyone this superficial, thank christ. It's a shame that a few awful individuals can cause nice blokes such low esteem issues. I would recommend dating proper grown-up women with decent values, instead of shallow gold-diggers. And the more you believe this BS, t…

I think when it's shared chores and someone finally pulls their weight, that's fine. I just balk at the idea of thanking someone profusely for something they should just be doing anyway. Maybe if they did a 'big effort' thing like clean the bathroom/do the garden, but rewarding a mature, married person like a kid doesn't make sense to me. But I'm glad it does to you! I would personally argue that assertiveness and good communication are two different things. However, being assertive is a decent communication skill that is learned through experience etc. Being assertive (to me) is stating a point confidently and directly, which often isn't a great communication tactic when you are trying to be gentle & supportive/nice. Different people respond differently to different approaches. And I would personally argue that directing a grown man to do things like this i…

you need to learn what assertiveness is and how you can communicate your thoughts/feelings/needs like an adult. YES. Although I disagree with the 'so many other women' thing. Communication is a 2-way street and most adults are capable of it without nagging or being passive-aggressive. It is a learning curve. I used to be a marriage counsellor and you wouldn't believe how bloody useless some people are at getting a basic message across. One time I saw a couple for 2 weeks in a row who wanted to h…

I suppose, I guess I just know the experiences of myself/my friends who value good quality & frequent sex, respect and feeling valued/equal. I could never be a 'kept woman'. I feel somewhat uncomfortable when the guy pays for the whole date - it's not how I was raised. I hate feeling like I owe anyone anything - money, sex, affection. These things should be freely given at the desire of both parties otherwise it seems transactional. Maybe I'm naive - but I'm happy!

I'm gonna reply then stop, as we probably won't agree. People earn money for themselves. I earnt twice as much as my ex, I'm a landlord and have investments. That was for me and I always paid my way. When he didn't want to have sex, I was upset but respected it. He had a lower libido than me. All I wanted was some respect and care. He didn't give it to me and was very selfish in life & in bed. But I never guilted him - I think I may have cried once out of rejection/despair but that was it. We've…

I fully agree. If you want to have commitment/exclusivity you need to make an effort but it's also not unfair to totally expect it. Even just for basic hygiene/safety reasons, I would never shag a guy with other partners. I just find the whole idea so skanky. And agree as well - if you're 3 months in and the dude is still banging other girls... Well it's either an 'open relationship' (not my thing) or you need more self-respect! There are so many decent blokes who would commit to the right girl!…

I just dislike the stance that all men are sex-beasts and all women must accomodate his needs, unless she's physically incapable lol. What if she's just not feeling it? Or the guy? I have a high libido but sometimes when I'm stressed from work or similar I just can't get in the mood. I can see what you're saying, but also you are reducing men to the whims of their sexuality, and making out like they're betraying their manhood/sacrificing something owed to them by being exclusive. If you don't bring it up, assume he's sleeping around because more than likely he's assuming the same of you. See, I only date people who know me well enough that they wouldn't assume that. I have never been into casual sex and I've never dated anyone who was banging multiple other girls. I guess they just wouldn't be compatible with me to begin with. Hey I'm a woman and I certainly desire other men, but I also have self-control and maturity. If you lower the desires of men to a dog humping all the legs he sees, well that's pretty unfair and implying that men have no will-power. That's BS. You just have to find someone you're sexually compatible with and ensure both parties are satisfied. As above: I'm 30 and have never dated a guy (other than one who was an unreliable alcoholic) that I had to worry about straying. I actually dumped that guy …

Straight away. I would never sleep with a guy if there was a chance he was sleeping with other women. I find the idea pretty gross actually - physically and personally. I always get checked in between partners, and wait for an emotional bond before we have sex - to hang out/fool around until I feel comfortable and we like each other. Btw I'm 30 F and have never had a problem with this :) Maybe I'm too picky, but it's served me well. The idea of a guy 'double dipping' or me being some side chick/…

They're very tolerant there, except for the inevitable racist arseholes you get everywhere. One of my best friends moved there last year from the UK and he's a black guy, I went to visit him a few weeks ago and it was awesome. I personally really enjoy drinking in moderation, and don't think ANYONE should get sloppy drunk - male or female. My ex was an actual alcoholic, so I'm now slightly wary of incredibly heavy drinkers, but I would also not date a teetotaler.

Yeh I tend not to hang out with college aged kids, it would be a bit creepy. I quite like informal dating at the start to be honest, but I've always dated exclusively. I suppose it depends how liberal/conservative you are, how much money you have spare, and how well you know the person. I mean when I was at uni there was no such thing as Netflix. I didn't even have wifi. So you'd just go to a bar, or round people's houses or to parties etc. Now I'm older and I work 40 hrs a week, I really can't …

I must admit, I don't know anyone like this. Is this primarily an American thing? I've never heard/seen anyone call anyone else Bae or whatever in real life. Plus, if anyone cheated on me or expected a £200 date etc I'd laugh them out the door. I'm pretty intolerant of bullshit. I'd accept 'come over and chill' as a real date, as long as we went on outside-the-house dates, too. I personally would not get involved and put your RP philosophy onto another person's relationship. I used to be a relationship therapist and the first thing I told couples who came for help (and who would inevitably ask 'just tell us what you tell everyone else!) - what works for one couple does not work for others. Every couple is different, just like every person is different. Just be a good friend, listen, and encourage her to talk to the one person she needs to talk to - her boyfriend.

Think of the bell curve and how different every woman is. That's how different every man is. There's not two types of woman, nor are there 2 types of men. Some women can be demure one day, fiesty the next. It seems to me you need to become more comfortable in your own skin. It takes time. It took me years. I'm 29 now and only just been happy with the person I am in the past couple of years, including my appearance.

I think it's the desire for a woman who respects herself too. This is it in a nutshell. I personally think that very few men want a perfect Stepford Wife. Imagine how sodding boring that would be after a couple of years. They'd be the sort of bloke to have a crazy affair with a biker chick they met in a bar or something (I saw it on tv, must be true).

Respect is such a broad term. Are you saying that brash women are less respectful than demure? How would you define respect? I personally would define respect as someone who is: willing to compromise, or at least 'give and take', someone who will be kind to you, someone who will accept your good and bad sides, someone who will look after you, someone who will challenge you and be challenged back. I personally could never date a 'pushover'. Maybe these demure women are being pushed aside because …

You can't make someone to go therapy - it has to be of their own volition or it's not effective (used to be a therapist, I could tell the ones that had been 'made' to come). Therapy is a slow process. It's scary opening up to a stranger, and is often met with resistance in the beginning. It's why we usually recommended 6-12 sessions MINIMUM. Be there for him and listen to him, but don't try to fix his problems. Buying a house is what therapists call a 'vertical stressor'. It's up there with getting married, having a kid, a bereavement etc. It's a VERY stressful time for someone even without depression. Is your husband seeking help for his depression? It sounds like a 'environmental' factor might be in play (buying house), but when I bought my house I didn't get so down. He should start taking the tablets as soon as possible, as they…

Yes, but the foreskin also lets the penis 'know' how far it's gone in, etc. I read a study - Here is one example - that shows that the sex is a bit rougher and less 'sensual' for the woman. Basically circumcised men are more likely to 'go at it'.

As a British woman, I would never say this. I think non-medical (e.g. phimosis) circumcision is tantamount to child abuse. Even religious circumcision, but I think that's outside my realm of control. I don't see the point - it's cruel no matter what. If the bloke chooses to get circumcised when he's older, that's fine. Like a woman choosing to have breast augmentation; it's their body and they're an adult (or a mid-to-older teen who has discussed it and consented). But I have no idea what the he…

Hopefully at the point OP is not introducing his kids to the women, so really it doesn't matter whether or not from his POV (protecting the kids - don't want them to get attached to casual GF and then hurt if she leaves). It might be worth going for some couple's counselling. You can get referred by your GP or you can sort it out yourself. I think it really can depend on the individuals and their relationship history. I wouldn't date someone who was in the habit of previously dating best friends (e.g. if his last 3 gfs has been his best mate), but if I met someone and they had a long-standing female friend then I would be ok with that. It would be hypocritical of me to judge, because I rent one of my spare rooms to an old mate who is a guy (previous to meeting my boyfriend) - there's never been any feelings there, and he and my bo…

act as you wish to be perceived I think this is pretty true, for men AND women. If you walk into a room/party/bar/anywhere with a smile, confident posture and a cheery disposition then - no matter how you actually feel - people will most likely respond in kind to you. Even if you're just walking down the street, just try to 'project' happiness and confidence. Smile at people. Wave at people you know. What a nutter! I've never personally met a man who doesn't have an equally bad female counterpart. Like yes, I've met some dudes who were terrible human beings, but women can be evil bullies too. If anything, they can be worse as they can be more catty. Also, this woman is clearly trying to provoke a reaction and be 'lol edgy'. Has she not read 'Y: The Last Man'?! It's not a competition, mind! Just because /u/willow-girl wasn't a lumberjack or fisherman (like I presume you do/ are familiar with) doesn't make her experience less valid. In 2012 it was claimed that 91 per 100,000 suffered fatalities in the logging industry. OK, so that's approx 30 times more than the average workplace death at 3.2 per 100,000, that's awful and negligent - most of those were from trees falling, which is terrible. I read that women can often be prosecuted for miscarrying :( I'm not even talking about 3rd-world or similar countries, it happens in the States too. My mother (a GP) told me a while ago that around 1/4 of pregnancies spontaneously miscarry. Be it genetic/chromosomal defects, physical problems, even Rhesus issues, it just happens, sometimes even before the lady realises she's pregnant. I'm not a mother, but I can't imagine anything more painful than miscarrying... and then getting blamed for it!

The majority of what is male? I do actually follow liberal feminism, in the way that I believe common sense and gender equality shouldn't just be 'women are more equal' etc. I actively support mens' rights, especially with custodial agreements, and am regularly disgusted at the treatment of mates/fathers who get shat on by the system. However, I also believe that things have to swing past and back the 'ideal point' before reaching a happy stability. It's unfortunate, but it's how issues get rais…

Isn't this literally the meaning of Liberal Feminism? Not disagreeing, I agree totally, treatment should be based on individuals not a group :) and it should indeed be opportunity not outcome.

You can't be super girly all the time, even if you want to. You can be 'mostly girly' or like lean heavily towards that side though. Stop seeing your bf-approved activities as 'masculine achievements' and start seeing them as /u/blindedbythebrights achievements. You did a run, that's awesome! Maybe he was extra stoked because it was something you guys did TOGETHER. It's something he can relate to, and share in your pride. Like there seems to be, especially in media, this idea of there being different "types" of men like for instance the intelligent scientist, the gruff action hero, the brooding musician/artist I see what you mean but these are very reductionist/two dimensional. Why can't the scientist pick up a guitar on weekends? Why can't the gruff hero love cooking? I'd say these weren't types in the way I would see them. Sorry, I was just agreeing with /u/VTMSCHVSVCTRY 's use of the phases. It's pretty interesting to apply the 5 traditonal stages of grief to accepting the Red Pill (as with any theory): Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. I guess I was interested to see how it's ok to use angry language in the context of the theory, but I'd still be unhappy if someone called mine or a friend's girlfriend a 'dumb whore'. After all, isn't this supposed to be a nice, civilised place to talk about stuf…

Agreed. This thread has made me unsubscribe after being a happy female reader and commenter for over a year. Might come back in a bit, but a comment above about my parents' happy marriage was just uncalled for. Being a redpiller doesn't mean you have to have no manners; quite the opposite. And 'dumb whores' is just rude, especially when referring to another man's girlfriend. Come on, man!

Nice assumption, but my mother was actually my father's senior partner until they both retired last year, plus they were both self-employed and earned pretty much the same amount their whole lives (both GPs) :) She was actually the one who bought their first car I think? I think the guy in OP's field report showed that, whilst - yes he was initially a 'Good Catch' and ticked all the Pros column, he also exhibited one of the major red flags: too clingy too soon, which often is a warning sign of things to come: possessiveness, jealousy etc. Maybe not, but what if? I also think it shows a remarkable lack of well-roundedness. As Lucy put it 'I spend all my time trying to contact you'. Who wants someone hanging round them all the time? Neither married nor have children so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. But I think that (in my opinion) if I had a child, then married someone who wasn't the father, the marriage should be good enough that the marriage would come first naturally. If at any point my child's safety/happiness/health was compromised I would reconsider. However, it's a null point. I think that if you get married and have/get kids then the 'family unit' should be the priority and your marriage should be a separate…

Congruity is one of the most important things to consider as a subverbal cue in any communication. I think also - male strippers are a 'novelty' and to be a successful male stripper you probably have to either be pretty fucking buff or be a comedy act (like the Full Monty). There aren't a lot of straight male strippers, so they've probably filled the niche pretty well and are almost like little celebrities in their own right. I'd say women are actually more prone to jealousy because in their 'ecosystem' - sorry - I'm trying to think of a word that describes a place where the woman feels as though she is 'top predator' - she is the top, the best. In her little personal bubble all men/friends/family love her, and all things revolve around her. From a professional point of view, if a grown woman is having tears/tantrums, that really suggests issues stemming back to how she was raised. I would consider the following: As a child, tears/'shouting the loudest' was the only way to get heard. Emotional manipulation has worked in the past. Obviously as a counsellor I would always suggest therapy for emotionally unstable people. By encouraging or ignoring tantrums, you're not helping imo. What you need to do is let her know she doesn't need to…

Mmm I heavily disagree. As a relationship psychotherapist, people who relate to their partner as a parent figure often have major attachment issues. And when they eventually have to care for you, they end up 'becoming their own grandparent'. I see so many couples where one partner is the 'parent' or similar thing and it's never healthy. And if you end up having kids, the dynamic gets weird. Don't get me wrong, in my relationship, I am the silly/carefree one sometimes, my boyfriend is the 'grownu…

I think it depends where you live, as well. I'm English and live in Newcastle upon Tyne, and have generally/previously worked manual/ 'rougher' jobs such as engineering, CAD, and started out in office-related jobs in these areas. I partially agree, but once dated someone who was lovely but terribly immature, unstable and had issues. I knew he would be a great partner in the future, once he got his shit together. 4 years later and it's come true - he's much more well-adjusted. I could say the same for another ex from my youth. If something has a direct benefit to an individual or a class of people, and a theoretical, abstract, or amorphous benefit to everybody else, realize that the proponent’s intentions are to benefit the former, not the latter, no matter what bullshit they try to feed you. No, I mean - I was agreeing with your question to ColdEric: I'm betting that girls rather be with a boy spoilt by his mother, than with a boy who never had a mother. I have a number of friends who are single fathers, and their kids (girls AND boys) are all turning out great. Compare those kids to spoilt brats, and I know which ones I prefer. Being alpha does not mean being an asshole. THANKYOU. Alpha for me is a confidence/esteem thing, a sort of inner sense of security, not a 'hey so I'm gonna be a dick to everyone, why aren't the girls lining up?' Real alphas can accept everything with dignity, e.g. Something bad happens; either change it or accept it with grace. This is what separates the children from the adults. You can be alpha and still a nice human being.

Look through his posts... most of his posts are about how rape can be justified through evolutionary biology/psychology. It's pretty grim. My favourite is how women = nazis, because they taunt men with their bodies the same way the Nazis taunted the Jews. Oh and how adultery causes as much pain for men as rape does for women. Because rape never happens to men /s. I'd reckon that rape for a dude is pretty painful, too. And women never get hurt through adultery. He's just a tool, ignore him.

No, that would be vastly unfair. A relationship is a partnership. Why not pick stuff you enjoy doing (or at least don't entirely dislike). E.g. I honestly just point it out early, before it gets too annoying. For example, I hate loud eating/open mouthed eating, and he does it a lot. So I'll just prod him and he'll make sure to try. I'm glad we have the type of relationship where we can point out each other's faults and/or irritating behaviour without taking it personally :) It's just about finding mutual respect, and realising each other is a real human being - not something to be moulded into perfection.

I agree with everything you've said, if people started mutating to not have foreskin then that would be different. I just dislike the idea of removing healthy tissue at birth with no reason. Maybe your mother was worried that girls would be put off by it? And she was trying to do you a favour? All I can say is that my first boyfriend was circumcised (rare in the UK) and the others have been not. There was a noticeable difference to me, and I prefer 'natural' :) I've likened it to someone not bei…

It's paraphrased from this amazing poem called 'Growing Up', about how we blindly follow down the groove formed by our ancestors. The poet is sarcastically saying how enviable it is to 'not know how right they are', and how easy going down the groove is for most people. I see it as - I think everyone is too busy trying to make their parents and society happy without realising how miserable they're making themselves.

I suppose it's less the case in England because all procedures like that would be done on the NHS! But it's really interesting to hear about non-surgical procedures too; I had no idea about the condom stretching trick. Cheers for the lovely picture :P I guess I'll put it on my list of things to 'spice up the bedroom' with my lad over the decades. We actually bought a cock pump for a laugh the other day - it's hilariously awesome.

I once read a study about the widespread use of circumcision in America, and how one of the prevailing factors was... American fathers wanted their sons to look like them. I'd say - break the cycle - your son's penis is his own, and if any Redpillers here are American men, just resolve to never put your own son through this like you were.

Unnecessary male circumcision is one of my actual blood-boilers. I have friends who have suffered from phimosis etc. and decided to get circumcised for comfort - that's fine! Adult wants to get circumcised for religious/personal reasons? Also fine. Parents snipping off a healthy part of a baby boy (or girl) is child abuse and I HATE IT. I read this very insightful website about how a boy's foreskin doesn't ever naturally pull back until they are at least 6 months old. It's attached like a finger…

Red pill behaviour =/=asshole behaviour. Although of course some redpillers are assholes, not every asshole is a redpiller. I suppose anyone who is fundamentalist anything (christian, feminist, religious, left-winger, right-winger) is offputting, and not fun to be around. I don't like really overzealous people of any persuasion; I think it's great to subscribe to a theory or lifestyle - but I find it scary when peoples' personalities get taken over. Aww man, colitis sucks. My grandma has UC and my dad has oesophagitis so I come from a long line of gastric disasters haha! What do you mean your dress sense isn't very good? I can help if you want; I'm not a guru by any means, but I'm told I always dress nicely. To be honest, the best thing a guy can do (IMO) is to buy stuff that's moderately priced (not Primark, not designer), well-fitting and flattering to the body shape. Avoid stuff that's too tight, too baggy or too trendy. Most men can't go wrong in a pair of nice shoes (not trainers), well-fitted (but not skinny) jeans, and a black/tasteful shirt or tshirt. Si…

I suppose, but then anything women do to NOT look like a greasy, hairy, blotchy hag is sexual attractiveness. Good. I'd hate to leave the house looking like crap, even for my own self esteem. It's not deceit, I don't look majorly different. In fact, you can barely tell I'm wearing any makeup. I also shower, shave, wear deoderant and nice clothes. I don't actually wear blusher or lipstick! I find it slightly 'too much'. The only times I have been sexually 'harrassed' is an all-out assault in a public toilet at a festival, where a guy reached around the cubicle door and shoved his hands in my underwear/crotch as I was peeing and tried to stick his finger up my privates. I know it sounds weird, but it wasn't so much a revelation as the realisation that stuff had been making sense for a while. I've always been a bit of a MRA/equalist, since I have a number of single father friends that I have seen get repeatedly shafted by society and the benefits system. What I meant is that it was an unpleasant experience that kinda put a downer on the night. Maybe it's a cultural thing. In my country (England), girl is used at any age. My mum (in her 50s) calls her friends 'the girls', and there was a film called 'Calendar Girls' which was based on a group of 40-50 yr old women. Yeh, but cutting the penis off would also do all of those things. Basic hygiene also covers most of your points. Peeing after sex gets rid of the chance of getting UTIs most of the time (men and women). Mm I can kind of see what you mean, in that you have it done & are fine with it. But it should be a choice of the individual, unless it's a medical issue. I see some giant flaws in your argument, though. I'd rather be cut than uncut it seems very gross to me not to be cut Why is something natural gross to you? As a woman, I would prefer uncut over cut every time, looks aside the sex is better. I remember nothing at all from when I was a baby so why would I give a fuck That's not the point, and i…

As someone who has been with an circumsised guy & uncirc, I can say now that circumsised guys find sex much more difficult to enjoy. I think cutting vital skin off a boy's most private, personal part is nothing short of child abuse.

You reckon it was dark? I'd be interested to know your opinion on it, as I find it light bedtime reading. I'm very into dark humour, though, in fact the darker the better so I think I find stuff like Bridget Jones quite tame. I did an English degree, so I love discussing books! Feel free to give me your review! :) edit: Agreed the movie was alright, but nowt like the novels. Especially the second novel/film (the Thailand one, which admittedly is kinda dark). The 3rd novel is my most favourite so…

The Bridget Jones novels are technically rom-com whatever, but they are worth a read as Helen Fielding (the author) is a pretty good satirist on female behaviour/attitude. I read the latest one recently and it's damn funny.

There's a great quote in Bridget Jones that is very TRP - I'm paraphrasing so sorry if I've forgotten some bits. 'Don't ever eat any food you pay for or cook yourself. You'll get skinny, so men will take you out to dinner. After a few weeks of this you'll get fat and the dates will tail off, so you'll get all leggy & shag-me-hippy and voila, dates again', said Daniel. 'That's the most sexist thing I've ever heard!', I exploded. 'Yes, but it's true', Daniel laughed, 'It's a condensed version of w…

Exactly. People who get pleasure from mistreating others (male or female) freak me out. I'm like, what are you gaining except some twisted sense of control?

I reckon the reason why she took the few first dates slowly/primly was that she wanted a proper relationship based on the fact you liked spending time with her & still saw her after not banging on the first date. TBH I think the reason why stuff is working out with my current boyfriend so well compared to previous ones is that we started very slowly, based on mutual attraction (obviously) but also mutual compatibility. Neither of us was looking for a quick fling & we got to know each other first…

I wouldn't even necessarily say 'fat women'; I know skinny people with the same mentality, and men too. It's the idea that because they disagree with something, it must be wrong & anyone who thinks so is an idiot. It's just when you get a group of people, apologetics, they band together be it about weight, alcohol, certain behaviours (racism, homophobia), even positive things like healthy eating ... It's hard to win over a group.

Settling for adequate? Everything: jobs, friends, financial situation. Boring and mousy. No opinions or beliefs? I can't think of anything more tedious.

Ehh not worth it, we had another 6 months on the tenancy. I just carried on being healthy and keeping my mouth shut when one got engaged and tried to lose weight for the wedding. This seemed to involve eating XL meat feast pizzas with the fiance and bitching. I cba to go into it, but the one time I actually pissed her off I ended getting scalding water on my arm. I kept away from her after that. The crazy was strong. Unfortunately I'm not super skinny anymore, certainly don't have abs, but I'd n…

I'd define a beta woman as the same as a beta man... Non-assertive, doormat, agrees with everyone etc, stuck with crap friends or crap relationships because she settles for 'adequate'.

Not a mother, but at uni I lived with a few girls larger than me. I eat healthily, don't smoke & used to exercise a lot before I got ill. They'd always joke like, 'you're so skinny it makes me sick' or that I needed to eat more, or even put me down for not having big boobs etc. When they saw me drinking water or getting ready for a run, they'd be like, 'what do you need to do that for?' Looking after your body is important, and I have friends who have walked out of the maternity ward in size 8 j…

Honestly, I think this applies to life as well. My parents made it look so easy. My family is not rich, but there was food every day, a warm house & soft bed. The bills got paid, we had holidays and birthday presents. I guess I thought that's how 'adults' lived. Now I'm 25 and realising... my parents waited until they had good jobs & a house til they had my brother and me. And that was after working for 10+ years - my mother worked throughout her pregnancies (she's a doctor) and my dad worked fu…

I'm in a longterm relationship with my boyfriend, who I live with, so nowadays presents are more stuff that he knows I'll like, because he knows me well. Throughout the year we will get each other gifts as surprises, like flowers, favourite food, wine, whisky, clothing etc. Last xmas he got me a really amazing dress - totally unexpected. It's not even something I would have bought myself, but when I put it on it looked awesome. He bought it because he thought it would suit me. The xmas before, h…

Urgh. Why can't people realise that things like gentlemen/badboy/niceguy are outdated concepts written for the purpose of relationship fiction like teen movies, Cosmopolitan etc. In my opinion, there are 2 types of people: those I want to hang out with, and those I don't. Sometimes nice people are dicks, and sometimes dicks can seem like nice people. My boyfriend is awesome, but he's also a human being. I can't expect him to be a perfect gentleman all the time, just as much as I will never be th…

Just thought I'd give input, just in case any guys saw your post and decided to spend £££ on posh bras, only to have them rejected or never worn. I've been bought nice nighties in the past & yeh, they've always lived at the guy's house. Underwear, never - personally I wouldn't ever leave my smalls at anyone's house, but I've never asked girl friends about it. I suppose if the bra is just for 'show' and not a day-to-day thing, then comfort isn't an issue (I have a few very impractical bras, but g…

Most of my female friends are girlfriends of my male friends, who generally all have pretty good taste in women so it's good for me. They enjoy things like travelling, politics, gaming, writing/reading & parties/nights out and are a pretty awesome bunch. I have a good group of female friends that I've met myself, who are all interesting and delightful in their own ways. One I meet for things like shopping because she has fantastic taste & was on the same degree as me (English), so we have great …

Ice skating or a christmas market or something. Bitches love that shit. Fuck, I love gluhwein and a girl in mittens. I am a bitch & I do, indeed, love that shit. I think it's great to go to markets, everyone's all bundled up in their coats, all the food and mulled wine smells amazing & it's a good way of checking out the other person because it's hard to look really glamorous when you're on your arse on the ice-rink, or your nose has gone all red from the cold. It's a real good-feeling date, and…

I think it's more a matter of refinement, and the sort of people you hang out with. It sounds to me like you never explored or were curious beyond what was given to you. Like craft beer - it's always been there. In fact, it was there BEFORE bud light etc. Single roast coffee is available from every supermarket. Just because you're at college doesn't mean you have to date college girls, but it was easier. Sounds to me like you were going for the common/easy option, and now you're older with a wid…

Haha, totally true. She'd probably write an article like, 'OMG Ted I thought you respected women but you're just USING her as an OBJECT', or if he actually likes the girl, 'see how quickly he changes his affection lol'. The author is probably one of those horrible women who 'pities' less attractive women (but is nice to them because 'they're good people, really') and slags off more attractive women as 'sluts', unless they're rich/famous in which case she worships them. RUN, TED, RUN! Keep runnin…

Overpopulation has nothing to do with the space-per-body, but the resources associated with those people. So once you've managed to fit everyone into Texas (although when that calculation was done, the world's pop. was only 4.4 billion), would you also be able to feed, water and sanitise them all?

I can't (as a girl) and have told partners this. They've tried but no dice. My other female friends have told me that they simply lie/exaggerate about it. I don't understand; it's not worth lying about :/ One of my closest friends is now stuck in an unsatisfactory relationship because it's 'too late' to mention it, and when she has hinted in the past the guy has pouted. FYI - clitoral & vaginal orgasms are totally different.

What I meant was - the woman was too concerned with her employees liking her to instill any type of discipline or 'order'. Honestly, if I behaved like a spoilt brat at work then 1. I'd get laughed at til I got my act together or 2. Probably lose my job, or be encouraged to resign. I've worked with ladies before and they're all been great. Just sounds like she was either exaggerating/lying about the behaviour or somehow encouraging... Maybe ignoring it/ letting it happen.

Sounds like bad management & employee control to me. Leave your personal lives at home, unless it's appropriate to the conversation (e.g. when your workmates eventually become friends, or you are asked). This company just seems like it lacked professionalism. Kind of like when the teacher tries to be 'friends' with the kids, then wonders why they are disrespectful. edit: Right at the start it says 'their simmering fight lasted hours'. FFS. They're there to WORK, not argue. If my employees argued…

I wasn't being critical! I was honestly curious (as a Buddhist I don't know much about Catholicism). Also, that's not birth control at all. Birth control is controlling when/if to become pregnant (or not). Sleeping with the man/woman you would have kids with is not the same as BC. That's more accepting the inevitable; a healthy, fertile lady will become pregnant after enough sex with a fertile man.

If you're Catholic, then you shouldn't believe in birth control anyway. What method do you use?

Came here to say this. How dare he make you cheat on him! Vomit. I'd never cheat. If my relationship were so bad that I wanted to stray the bed, I'd break up with the guy. I've done it before - long distance relationship gone abusive and stale. Met a lovely local guy. Broke up with LDR guy; no overlap. Maybe emotionally, but certainly nothing physical, not even a hug or kiss. edit: also Being cheated on can do a number on a person's self-esteem, so you have to stroke the poor boy's ego. 'Poor bo…

Just commenting as a lady - I find deadbedrooms very useful as I was in one for 6 months about 3-4 years ago, and whilst I am no longer troubled by it, it's an amazing community. Especially since I am an aspiring Relationships Counsellor (I start training at the end of month). Deadbedrooms is very much a unisex community! Saying that, I am also an avid MRA supporter. A lot of my friends are married/divorced men in their 30s-50s and I've seen how shafted they get compared to their female counterp…

Indeed, I agree! But I'm still not crazy :) I have too much self-worth and personal pride to go batshit over a bloke (or anyone, for that matter). However, I have been on the receiving end of crazy. Like, ex seeing me out on a date 1yr+ after we broke up and ringing my mother demanding I cease. Pfft. I've NEVER done anything like that, even after being cheated on. I know it's different when bairns and property is involved, but I like to think I would still keep my cool in such situations. edit: …

So if the car is automatically joint property, surely the kids are also joint property :P This shit is awful. It's no different in the UK, you know. As an unmarried, unburdened (as in, no kids or mortgage) young female, I had NO idea until I started working in engineering. Most of the guys here are older men, some on their second marriages or divorced. My friend Chris (about 45 yrs old? 2 kids by previous marriage, married to lady with 2 kids of her own) has reported the following things: His ex…
