God this subreddit blows my mind. You literally have no fucking clue as to what this man's marital status is, and yet y'all hate women so much that you assume that he has no relationships with any women. lmfao y'all are gonna die virgins

First of all sweetheart Fucking ew Secondly, this is why insurance exists honey, if you go rock climbing without it, yes, you should be expected to pay yourself. No shit they'll be paying for it, dumbass. That's how it works when you don't have insurance (in the US). But I'm assuming you think the same of obese people? If you don't take care of yourself, you shouldn't expect the government to do it for you, you're a fucking adult, act like one and take responsibility for what you are doing to yo…

Do you, by any chance, say the same thing to people that drink alcohol that may have liver problems in the future? Or smokers with lung problems? Or rock climbers with broken limbs/collapsed lungs/broken ribs? Or runners with fucked up knees? Or do you just want to punish people that you, personally, don't find attractive?

Aren't you glad that divorce rates increased? Those were women getting out of abusive relationships that they were previously too scared to leave because of the stigma. My mom was one of those women, and because of it, I'm here! Don't shame devorcees.

I can't understand people that hate the fat acceptance movement. Like, good for you, you don't want to be fat. So don't be fat. The very worst thing that could possibly arise from this movement is happy fat people. Oh lord the humanity.

Hey pal, you sound like an absolute fucking cunt. Unless you're literally perfect in every way with no bad habits or addictions, shut the fuck up.

if you’re dressed like a slut. Again, I have no idea how sluts dress! Is there a special bracelet that I don't know about? Furthermore, I've only had sex with one person, but I had sex with him before I was married. Do I need to wear it??? You're stressing me out!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 03:45 PM
1

Do they? How many people have you asked? Because I, an actual woman, usually just assume that he's going to work or that he's going to church, depending on the setting. I also generally assume, if I see a woman whose cleavage is showing, that she's wearing it because she wants to. Because no matter what your fee fees tell you, clothing literally has no correlation with how many dicks a woman has seen.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 03:35 PM

Okay but you literally haven't used a single fact, you're just using your poor precious fee fees.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 03:26 PM

Wait, do you normally see women dressed like this where you live? Because if I saw someone dressed like that while she was on a stage, I would assume she was a stripper.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 03:09 PM

See, but that's an occupational uniform with rules surrounding it. Where are your sources that say 100% of women that show their cleavage have sex with lots of people?

Can you imagine how the "school shooter kid" probably feels when a school gets shot up and he suddenly starts getting inexplicable visits from his peers? "H-hey buddy, how are you feeling? You're not gonna shoot up the school, are ya?"
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 02:37 PM

Do you know how many kids are bullied every year? Do you know how many of those kids are mass shooters? Dumbass
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/18 01:30 PM

Wait, so if a woman has breasts, and they show, that automatically means that she has sex with lots of men? I'm going to need your sources on this.

My husband used to read TRP as well. Not righteously, but he would every once in a while mention how smart they are and all that bullshit. Then I started reading it. It made me absolutely sick to my stomach, some of the stuff that I was reading. At first, I didn't want to hurt his feelings by bringing up "that bullshit I read on TRP today." Then I realized that he's an adult and can handle me telling him that I think the things on that sub were bullshit. It's been a while, but he truly sees them…

I remind myself: some people enjoy relationships. Some don't. Some women are mean, but a vast majority are very normal human beings. Some men are evil, but a vast majority are normal. Some people like religion. Some don't. Just live your life the way you want to, and don't be a dick to people about it.

I don't think she's going to hurt herself by dating black men and wanting to "#freethenipple." Honest to god, the very best way you can help her right now is to teach her safe sex. Tell her that sex at her age isn't a good idea, and it's especially never a good idea with people older than her. Tell her that the two most important things to know about (you probably shouldn't teach her these parts, let the internet teach her. a) I, personally, think that 16 is too young to be having sex with adults, however that is legal, as far as I know. b) What fucking 23 year old has any business having sex with a sixteen year old? What sixteen year old has the decision making skills to decide that having sex with a 23 year old is a good thing? Why are you so vehemently defending creepy guys in their twenties having sex with high schoolers?

It's just so easy to slip too far one way or another, y'know? The sexualization of young children should be left in the middle ages, too! Also, TIL: not wanting adults to fuck fifteen year olds is the same thing as falsely accusing someone of rape
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 09:43 PM
1

God, it almost should be. Seriously though, when it comes to adults that are metally impaired, I really don't know the answer to that. On one hand, it'd be immoral to deny all handicapped people the joys of sex, but on the other, they are definitely raped all of the time. Two evils, y'know?

Not me, actually. Science, the law, anyone that's been around a lot of fifteen year olds, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 08:46 PM

I've definitely thought about that a lot, but at the end of the day, you can't really make qualifications without inherently isolating the people that don't reach them, and thereby creating laws that benefit everyone but those people. IE: Only people that make over so much a year: that'll only benefit rich people, making poor people/middle class people poorer and rich people richer. Only men: obviously men, as a whole, aren't going to create laws that benefit both men and women. Source: congress…

You sound like one of those people that says "but she[the three year old that I raped] asked to see my penis! I can't restrict her freedoms!" When two young kids decide to have sex, you can't say that one is at fault over the other(unless that there was clearly no consent/someone revoked consent). When a 25 year old decides to take advantage of the fact that fifteen year olds have no decision making skills, it's rape. Plain and simple.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 07:57 PM

It's really interesting how so many abused people leave abusive relationships only to never be abused again. Did you know that Jerry Stanos confessed to murdering over forty women, and he didn't premeditate a single one? With every single one, there was a reason that they deserved to die. Every single one of them provoked him enough to be murdered. That means he was never at fault, right? Not like that asshole Bundy, who had the audacity to plan his murders!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 07:56 PM

Except that doesn't work. Except that it's proven to work over and over and over again. It's the reason that women aren't viewed as property, it's the reason that men aren't nearly as shat upon for being SAHFs as they once were, it's the reason that it's much more acceptable for men to show feelings as they once were, it's the reason that black people aren't still enslaved in the United States. Don't give me that weak shit.

Yes, because people care about making things better for women. They do not care about making things better for men. Do you realize that you are a part of that? You're like Michael Scott saying "society doesn't care. Society sucks. I don't even consider myself a part of society. FYI. Because I am so angry over all of this." Well literally none of the three examples I gave you actually worked. Do you know what did work for all three of them? Finding the problem, and fixing it. It doesn't matter if the fifteen year old is perfect in bed! Their genitals may be identical! The problem is that a fifteen year old is not emotionally ready to make actual decisions like that. I cringe whenever I remember that an eighteen year old kissed me when I was fifteen, and him having sex with me would have most definitely fucked me up, never mind an actual adult. I don't think you're actually stupid enough to think that fifteen year olds are actually the same as adults. Your comment screams /r/lewronggeneration. Don't act like you actually think society was better back then, when it's extremely clear that you just want a way for men to be able to fuck fifteen year old girls legally. It's disgusting.

women in specific have no sympathy whatsoever for men who let fear control them. What??? You literally just said the same thing! That men need to "nut up and shut up" if they're afraid of something! I can't believe you're daft enough to compare intimacy between two consenting adults to the urge to 1) override a child's bodily autonomy, 2) ruin their ability to have normal sexual relationships for the rest of their lives, and 3) plague them with PTSD by making them afraid for their lives, all for your own selfish reasons. Literally, I don't think you're actually that stupid, so why would you even use that argument?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 04:51 PM

There's obviously a difference between a glance and "undressing with your eyes." I've had an old homeless man stare at me in such a way that I legitimately felt unsafe. I wouldn't have given a single shit if he'd just smiled and nodded at me. TL;DR: If a woman says that your actions made her feel unsafe, believe her. And don't repeat that action(to a reasonable extent, ofc).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/17 01:37 PM

Uhh, yeah. If you don't get consent, it's rape. Consent should ALWAYS be a clear, enthusiastic "yes" if y'all have never had sex before. Of course it'd be silly to expect people to do that well into a relationship/marriage, so just remember: If someone says no, no matter the reason or lack thereof, STOP. Threatening said person with the relationship is coercion. There's no such thing as coerced sex! The proper word is "rape!" If someone doesn't say yes or no, PAY ATTENTION TO THE BODY LANGUAGE. …

Anyone that openly admits to wanting to fuck underage girls needs fucking counselling. There's nothing wrong with the inherent urge, as one can't control what they're attracted to, but there is everything wrong with acknowledging that attraction in a place that isn't between you and a counselor. Nah, no one is responsible for protecting your feelings. Welcome to equality. Who said I don't hold the belief that men's feelings should be respected too? Part of equality is realizing that you are expected to stand up for yourself rather than rely on others to protect you. I don't need protection. I just need people to stop being assholes and to stop ignoring obvious body cues. I'm considerably more likely to be the victim of violent crime than a woman, simply because I'm a man, right? I think we basically agree. Even if a guy does something that makes me feel unsafe, if it's an honest accident and he stops once I make any indication that I'm uncomfortable, it's truly a crime without a perpetrator. I don't believe in slapping handcuffs on any guy that has accidentally done something like that. I do believe in putting guys that purposefully make women feel unsafe in their place, though. It's so interesting that you say that, because I've gone on many dates that turned into second and third dates with men that didn't even once sexually harass me! we are also in a culture where men are expected to push womens' boundaries if they ever want to have sex, and it's primarily women that are the cause of that. Or, in laymen's terms, If women didn't act they way that they do, men wouldn't be forced to push boundaries.

The thing about fifteen year olds, however, is that they're dumbasses. When I was fifteen, I would have loved to know that a big mature thirty year old was into me! Now, looking back on the eighteen year old that I "dated" when I was fifteen makes me fucking cringe. At least we both see the problem, we just don't agree on the best way to tackle it. A lot of people on this subreddit think that fucking/marrying fifteen year olds should be normalized again. Fucking disgusting.

I just... can't comprehend wanting to have sex with someone that even acts like a fifteen year old, much less someone that is fifteen years old. People seeing others normalize this line of thinking could directly result in predatory behavior. We mustn't normalize it.

I don't frankly give a shit as to what men do as long as they don't voice opinions that dehumanize other people. If it has an affect on me, then I care. Other people having casual sex doesn't have any sort of effect on you or me, no matter what kind of delusions you may be suffering from.

Just to clear the air on a few points: 1) People being assholes and exhibiting any of the behavior you say that most women do is bad. Most people will agree on this. 2) Like I said, marrying someone with divorce as the end goal is almost never something that people think is a good idea, or morally okay. However, even if someone's wife wants a divorce over something incredibly silly, think of it this way: they wouldn't have been happy together anyway. If anything, he's dodging a bullet. Ever sinc…

Or that women divorce so easily, backing out of marital vows and commitments At the end of the day, no one is obligated to be married to anyone. I agree that it would be really shitty to marry someone with divorce as the end goal, but I think everyone thinks that. If a woman wants to get a divorce, it'd be pretty sill…

That's all true, but here's the thing: her body might want it despite her not wanting it. It's like saying that, if he has a boner, he's obviously into it, which is a point often used to illegitimize male rape victims. I, personally, have many times fallen victim because I didn't want to call him out and embarrass him. That doesn't make the perpetrator an evil rapist, it just means that he should probably learn to pick up on that stuff beyond the obvious body language.

There's a difference between "I, personally, don't feel comfortable dating someone that's had a lot of sex" and "all women that have had sex with more than one person are dirty, damaged goods!" I know it's arbitrary, but in my head, it seems like it would be common sense. And of course, I catch myself judging people for inane shit all of the time. But I correct myself, and never voice my opinions on said inane shit.

What the fuck else is there besides equality of rights? Are you talking about fixed outcomes? Because I sure as hell wasn't. I'm not even sure where you got that idea.

How does women having sex with people harm you? Have I harmed you by having a lot of sex before marriage? What if it was all with one person? Also, your last paragraph is full of shit. Have you seen congress lately? Have you seen how many of our presidents have been women lately? Does it not strike you as odd that there have been so few legitimate female candidates, that Hilary Clinton was actually viewed as a viable option? How many female mayors can you think of off the top of your head, citie…

I think that, as far as I've noticed, there's a difference between "righteous" judging and just unnecessary bitching. "I don't feel comfortable dating women that have had sex with a lot of people" = righteous judging, "all sluts are dirty, like damaged goods" = being a fucking asshole. Again, it's all pretty arbitrary, and obviously we can't enforce any of it on anyone. All we can do is bitch about assholes on the internet, as I've obviously taken a liking to LMAO.

Why do you hate the idea of women having agency over their bodies so much? Have you ever thought that, just maybe, you talking about women like they're products that can be damaged might have a negative effect on society?

It's very true that a lot of men adapt that mindset. That doesn't mean that it's smart. Women: "Hey guys, please stop treating us like baby making slaves! Thanks" TRP: "But how will I get laid?"

Also, if you need more than like, three sentences to define what morals you find to be objective, they're probably actually extremely arbitrary and shouldn't be used to judge other people. I just can't imagine having morals that cause you to think that something two people do with each other, by themselves, in their own home, could be considered bad. Feelings aren't worthless. Source: Robin Williams was one of the most well-liked people on this planet and had a massive income, and he hated his life so much that he, one can't just say killed himself, it's more like he forced himself to die. We're all here in morality for the foreseeable future, so we might as well take it seriously. Literally nothing bad can come of loving ourselves and others. Bad things can come of hurting each other, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/17 12:21 AM

When did I say that being a slut is objectively good? What morals do you accept as objective?

Oh yeah, of course I don't mean things like "yeah my grandmother just died" on the second date, or saying "you too" when the waiter says "enjoy your food." I personally think that the closest we can get to objective morality is as follows: Does the thing in question hurt other people? If yes, the thing is bad. If no, the thing is perfectly okay.

Why can't I mention economic privileges? That's the biggest inequality between men and women. Socially, everyone(including women) tend to take men's opinions more seriously than women's. Imagine this scenario: you come into a conversation where a man and a woman are arguing about something. It really doesn't matter what. Do you give items around your house basic humanity, too?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 04:28 PM

It[whether or not violent, non-sexually crimes warrant the DP] obviously depends on the situation. Of course there are cases that don't warrant the death penalty. Just like not all cases of sexual assault warrant the death penalty, not all cases of violence warrant it, either. But there is a large portion of both that do. No[, sexual crimes don't strip victims of humanity any more than non-sexually violent crimes]? Did I make that claim? Are we done here?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 05:19 AM

I'm not saying it, the dictionary is saying it. Do you really think you know words better than the dictionary? If you are trans-excluding, you don't want equality between men and women. Trans people are men and women. If you don't include them, excluding men and women from benefiting from feminism. Feminism is equality between men and women, no matter how in denial you are about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 05:16 AM

What is your fucking deal? All of my friends with a few exceptions, are extremely feminist. None of them have problems with me being married. It's so obvious that the only feminists you've ever interacted with are the ones from the /r/tumblrinaction screenshots. One of the biggest points of feminism is giving men and women choice. Being a slut is okay! Calling sluts dirty isn't! Being married okay! Telling women that they aren't allowed to get married isn't! Does that make any more sense to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 05:00 AM

We are using the same dictionary. Do you realize this? because women were solely getting the shit end of the stick until about a hundred years ago. Remember kids men don't have issues. And yet you and well every single feminists think women's issues come before men's. This is besides doing well next to nothing for men. Does the dictionary count as actual evidence? And of course it's been focused primarily on women's rights, women were viewed as property not even a hundred years ago! Aren't you glad that feminism has gotten women the right to education and vote? I definitely am! All men need to be tall, fit, make good money, reject their own emotions, and slay pussy in order to completely fit into society. I do find it sad that so many people are treated like livestock, way beyond what their crime was. IDK, Brock was literally caught doing it by two different people, was arrested on sight, and he only got three months. I don't think false accusations that actually end in convictions/charges/sentences are nearly as common as some people say. That isn't to say that I don't think that the perpetrators of falsified accusations shouldn't be severely punished.(Given that it was found to be done with malicious intent, as opposed to an actual misunderstanding)

Yes, but Brock Turner was specifically changed with attempted rape. So no, not in his case.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:23 AM

Would you really rather live in prison for eighty years waiting to die than just end it all? That seems bizarre to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:22 AM

Because you're making me out to be some kind of monster for wanting Justice for a rapist.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:20 AM

Tbh, I just said death because I know that if I, personally, had to choose between death and life, I'd pick death. Like I said tho, that really depends on the individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:19 AM

Also, if he was so drunk, he wouldn't have been able to know to try to flee the scene as soon as someone saw him. It seems like he wasn't too drunk not to know what he was doing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:17 AM

Oops, you dropped this (combined with the fact that life imprisonment is just a little too mean, that's totally up for debate though- maybe make the convicted rapist choose between life and death?)

Oh my god, OP was right this entire time! You're so enlightening.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 01:15 AM

Actually, that happens all of the time. Someone I care about very much was a victim of exactly that. Also, I don't know if anyone's told you, but no one is entitled to fucking anyone. It doesn't matter that they were kissing and dancing. If someone is drunk beyond any ability to stand or keep their eyes open, their consent doesn't mean any thing(Not that she even gave any). It's the equivalent of pedos saying "but she said she was enjoying it!"

OP forgot some context to my comment. As I said to someone else: It's not so much tit for tat("He needs to pay with his life!") as it is the fact that he is on the streets. Three months is not long enough to rehabilitate someone like that. Honestly, that seem like something that even life wouldn't fix. /r/PurplePillDebate06/11/17 12:40 AM

Why are you more upset by me being offended by Brock Turner's freedom than you are by Brock Turner sexually assaulting and attempting to actually rape someone and only getting three months? Is me wishing he'd gotten the death penalty actually worse than sexual assault and attempted rape? Also, here in the first world 21st century our laws don't align with Lex Talionis. (With the exception of some murders)

You... just indicated that you agreed with me, though. I've never had problems with casual sex, or hookups. If someone actually treated all women like all they are is potential fucks, it would be very abhorrent. There are people that are literally like that and have jobs. They are employers, co-workers, allowed on the internet. So are we on the same page?

That's a gross over-simplification. This is exactly what he was charged guilty with: 1.) Assault with intent to rape an intoxicated woman 2.) Sexually penetrating an intoxicated person with a foreign object 3.) Sexually penetrating an unconscious person with a foreign object The prosecutor didn't withdraw any of these charges. So yeah, I think the Earth would be better off without him here.

You could've just said no. We're on the same page. Why must you argue against anything that sounds even vaguely feminist, even if you agree?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:43 PM

Why can't you just say so? Either you'll say yes, and you're actively going against what you said a few comments ago, or you'll say no and you will have called yourself a screeching feminist lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:41 PM

Egalitarianism refers to equality between all races, genders, sexualities, etc. Feminism refers specifically to equality between men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:23 PM
1

However, treating every one you meet like all they are is a potential fuck is abhorrent. No by your definition of fleshlighting, yes by mine. Do you think it's okay to treat all of the women you speak to like all they are is a potential fuck? Because it says very clearly that that's my definition of fleshlighting. A simple yes or no, please. If yes, I can't help you, if no, then why the hell are you arguing about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:19 PM

So you don't actually think that women owe men sex if he buys her a present? Then why on Earth did you make out anyone that opposed that ideology out to be a screeching feminist? Are you a screeching feminist?

Since when did I say anything about Nazis? Also, you seem to bed dodging the question. Now, yes or no: Do you really think that treating women like fleshlights is okay? If not, then why the hell are you so adamantly defending it?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 11:09 PM
3

So tell me now. Say in your own words: "I, Ascimator, think that women should be treated like fleshlights." Is that what you really think? Do you really think it would be okay for all men to adapt this ideology? Do you realize how fucking absurd it is that, in 2017, I have to convince someone that both halves of the human population deserve to be treated with basic humanity?

/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 09:30 PM

Oh my god, I want people to stop excusing rape. Do you really think that that's controversial in any way? I need to say, in your own words, "Making excuses for rape is okay." Because unless you can say that, then we're on the same page.

Do you know what's worse than being threatened over social media and not being allowed to swim? Raping someone! He doesn't deserve to swim. As long as she suffers with PTSD, he shouldn't be on the streets. He is a danger to society. He should be fucking dead. It could be a number of things. Some men genuinely haven't been taught that women are people. A lot of people, men and women alike, haven't been taught the importance of consent; consent to having sex in the first place, consent to escalate, that even when you're not about to have sex consent is important for touching beyond what could be considered casual touch. I'd be willing to wager that a large majority of committers of sexual assault/rape just haven't been taught the correct way, not that …

The answer is that feminism is not here to get men laid. It's here to help people realize that half of the human population has been grossly mistreated and that we need to fix it. As long as I'm treated like I'm lesser than a man, I don't give a fuck about your blue balls.

The basis of /r/incels is how soulless women are. Incels are blackpill, right? That's probably why women don't share any values with you.

I've definitely met more than one male radfem. The reason there's so few is because radfems usually spout "kill all men" bullshit. As for actual male feminists, seeing and meeting them gives me hope for humanity heh.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 04:27 AM
3

What high standards are you talking about? "I can't marry a man that doesn't view women as people?"(tbh that would eliminate nearly everyone on TRP) or maybe "I need a man that can handle his finances?" or "I need a man that can be the father for my children?" What are these high demands you keep bringing up?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 04:25 AM
3

Yeah, seeing as you're a blackpill, most women don't share your values because they realize you don't really see them as human beings.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 04:22 AM
7

Well here in the first world, we find forcing women to marry someone they don't know to be entirely abhorrent. You're acting like the women being put into arranged marriages are just hail-Mary objects designed for your pleasure. They are people, believe it or not, and you're taking away their livelihood. You seem like an extremely thoughtless and selfish person.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/17 04:19 AM
5

Why would any woman be okay with arranged marriage? We get forced into a relationship that we may or may not even want. As long as you're taking choices away from anyone, man or woman, it's immoral.

Are you really worried that procreation is going to cease if women aren't all barefoot in a kitchen? Ahahahahahah. Procreation is ALWAYS going to happen. Even if humanity as a whole made a point to end it, it would simply be impossible to cease. To think that women having jobs might end the human race is frankly idiotic.

Do you remember the Truman show? Jim Carrey's character was very happy and content with his life until he found out what his situation was. Then he was very angry, sad and upset for most of the movie because he was aware. He wasn't really happy again until he actually left the dome. Women aren't happy right now because they're so aware of all of the inequality in their lives that short-ends them.

Misogyny was 10000% worse in the past. Women were more or less fleshlights that had cooking skills to most men. Is that what you're referring to? Do you want society to go back to being that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 05:49 PM
1

What the fuck? Where did you get literally any of that? Men work in day cares all the damn time. That has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that you very obviously think less of women than you do of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 05:48 PM
1

It's called the placebo affect. Knowing/being told that something is going to happen is A L W A Y S going to have, at the very least, a subconscious affect on how you act. It sounds like you don't very much trust your own biology!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 05:47 PM

Procreation is always going to happen. A l w a y s. It doesn't matter how many women get jobs, there will always be just as many choosing to have children/accidentally getting pregnant.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 05:44 PM
2

And yet, women have no obligation to theirs. This is a feminist belief. The person you were replying to was very clearly talking about Red Pill women. Two completely different subcultures.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:59 PM
2

Well I consider myself to be pretty average(me and husband both work full time) but we went on vacation to my home town when my brother got married, and it really fucked us over for like, a month. Not because our vacation was terribly expensive, but because we lost work for a week and a half each. The point is that those college students can barely afford vacations, and wouldn't be able to with children. So out of the two, they pick vacations. And that's perfectly valid and okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:56 PM
2

Okay, I'll put the goalposts(some of this sub's jargon is so damn cringy omg)back. Most people with children cannot afford vacations that last more than a few days, OP included. OP, along with a lot of women and men alike, values her and her husbands' free time more than that of an imaginary child. One person miraculously being able to afford children and big vacations is like Donald Trump shaming someone for not buying their child a house for their eighteenth birthday.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:52 PM

I literally just said: feminists are encouraging men to do what makes them happy. Red Pill women are the ones calling men immature for not sticking to their roles in society. Feminists are not to blame.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:46 PM

What happened to "it's always the quiet girls that are the most freaky in bed?"
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:46 PM
3

The person you're referring to is probably talking about red pill women, who look down upon men for straying from their gender roles. You're referring to feminists, who don't think that men or women should be bound to gender roles, so their stance isn't hypocritical.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 04:23 PM
1

I can understand that you don't feel that way, but it's kind of rude to say that the other is "ridiculous.". Some women have been jumped/sexually assaulted and that changes the way they act at night. I, personally, just don't want to be stuck in a conversation with a man I want nothing to do with, so sometimes I change my route for that reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/17 03:42 PM
1

I'm a strong feminist that abhors mental or physical abuse of any kind, and yet I love for my husband to dominate me in bed.(Just to reiterate, that behavior never leaves the bedroom.) What people enjoy in bed NEVER says anything about how they are in their work life or casual life.

So instead of ruining your actual behavior with the prior knowledge on biology (knowing will ALWAYS change your behavior, if even just subconsciously) then why don't you just trust biology to have an affect on the choices you're making?

Well here in first world US, I rarely meet rude people that are without religion. And I consider myself an inactive Mormon(Like the gospel for the most part, dislike the Church). Most of y family and a lot of people at Church all have their own completely arbitrary way of judging others, which different from Catholics, which different from Muslims. The only objective way to judge is to say "is that person hurting anyone? No? Then let them keep doing it."

Oh my god, that's genius! Just do a brain scan on everyone that you interact with! I should have thought of it sooner. Cheating is emotional abuse. Shaming people for having consented sex with more than one person is slut shaming. And before anyone says I'm poly-shaming, it's not cheating if both your LTR and the person you're hooking up with know and have consented.

Well given that most redditors are American and/or don't make six or seven, your anecdote really doesn't say anything. You make OP out to be lazy somehow, even though she obviously wouldn't be able to do any of the things you listed with children.

I'm curious if this new religion-free sexually liberated homo sapiens tends to act more in self-interest and is therefore less likely to actually bond. As a sexually liberated, inactive homosapien, all I want (and what most feminist millennials want) is for two things: 1) for people to feel less guilty about loving themselves 2) for people to feel more guilty about hurting others These are both very Christian principles. Also, if women are all just saying "alright I guess I'll date you" to men that aren't perfect tens, doesn't that mean that if your SO/wife/fuck buddy sees someone more attractive than you, that she's going to leave?

See, with the examples you've given, there's quite a big difference between hitting someone in self defense and punching your husband, that's been known to hurt you, out of the blue(obviously there are some exceptions to this rule, like if he's holding you hostage or your life is in danger). In that case, neither of them has the high ground. It has become mutually abusive. If your wife is emotionally abusing you, tell her how you feel with your words, divorce included, and if that doesn't work, …

I read the link, don't worry! And the parts that really stand out to me include flirting with people in front of your wife, telling her how many chances you've had to cheat on her, acting indifferent towards sex(wtf), and literally saying outright "if you don't fuck me, I'll divorce you and find someone that will fuck me." Of course, in real life I doubt anyone would speak quite that bluntly, but if they did... that'd just be really shitty of them. Do you need me to source exactly which parts I'…

Well in my opinion, emotionally manipulating someone is far worse than divorce. And, if I'm reading correctly, you find that divorce is worse than emotionally manipulating your partner? Also, as long as we're bringing kids into this, I've never heard of kids resenting their parents for going through a clean, not-emotionally abusive divorce. I have heard of them resenting their parents for using the kids against each other(Another example of emotional abuse!), and I've Definitely heard of childre…

So it seems that the only thing we disagree on is when to apply the divorce. In my opinion, it's before emotionally manipulating her into liking you again. In your opinion, it's after attempting to emotionally manipulate her into liking you again. Is that correct? And if so, why is there even a question as to who is morally correct?

God, I just really have a hard time how y'all can just neglect such common sense. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be more attractive for your wife, or flirting with her and being a more pleasant person, but this is where you and I differ: Communication is key. Your wife might not find you attractive, sure, but she might also not enjoy sex because of your performance, she might have gone through a trauma and still be uncomfortable with sex... there are literally hundreds of reasons. Just ta…

Yes, that is true. It doesn't make it any less abusive. Sorry for being unclear.

Again, there's a difference between marriage counselling and "making her think that your dick stays wet regardless of her."(actual quote I've seen more than one user say) The latter is unloving, lacks empathy, and is simply abusive. And before you or anyone else says "well that's not what I think," I've seen many people on TRP and PPD alike defend the very notion, even being as bold as to say that counselling and divorce aren't options because they're emasculating. It's back-asswards.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/17 05:21 PM

I think that it's such a shame that some men(and women, mind you) are stuck in dead bed marriages. At the end of the day, however no one is obligated to have sex with anyone, married or not. No one is obligated to stay in a committed relationship with someone that is abusive, either. If a man is being subtly abused by his wife(ie she's withholding sex), he is in the right. If he actually says "shit or get off the pot,"(respect my needs or we're divorcing) he's still in the right. However, there'…

I, personally(this is very much up for debate) find that it would be more ignorant to encourage us to be who we were programmed to be than it would be to just let people be themselves with no regards for what their biology is supposed to entail. In the end, our true biology would show through, as opposed to what a bunch of people are saying is our true biology.

I, along with other feminists, have nothing against casual sex. I do, however, have a problem with treating anyone like all they are is a potential fuck(that part has nothing to do with gender). That is sexual objectification.

Tbh, I think we would all be better off if we just didn't discuss what biology entails for men and women. While biology might definitely have a say in little girls having preferences in baby dolls over trucks, what on Earth is biologically feminine about the color pink? Or ponies? What's inherently masculine about dinosaurs and being into math? You absolutely cannot deny that it is neither solely nurture or nature. To me, and to most feminists, one of the core beliefs of feminism is that men and women should have the choice to live their lives however they want to, unless the way they want to live involves hurting others or themselves, emotionally or physically. Honestly, TRP tends to just use the biology as an excuse for their shitty behavior. "It's not my fault I cheated on my wife, my biology told me too!" Or rather, "It's okay that I cheat on my wife regularly and refer to women as objects! My biology says to!"

I was talking about your /r/ladyboners point specifically. Idk about the other women here, but if I said seeing my SO save small insects and be nice to our cat(he did NOT like her at first) didn't make me fucking swoon I'd be lying heh.

You definitely should not be treating your wife or SO as if they're as disposable and interchangeable as a lawyer. A lawyer understands that they are being paid and that they need to work to the best of their abilities or risk losing said pay. Friendships and relationships should not be that expendable.

I'm so glad that they're happy over in RPW, however I do have a problem with calling others "plates" and dirty for having sex with multiple people, banning users for having any semblance of equality in their marriage, calling each other "jerks" for gaining weight while married and saying that women …

Tbh, a lot of what's said here really isn't bad if you're into the lifestyle. However, I've seen so many people whose posts and comments can be summed up with "threaten her emotionally with your relationship and she'll come running! Make her think that your dick stays wet regardless of her if she doesn't behave!" I just find that to be so... dirty. Literally, someone did say that they don't want to tell their husband that their exit is coming up because they might make him feel emasculated. Another piece of advice I've seen several times is "bring him problems, not solutions." Like goddamn, I'm glad I didn't marry someone with that massive of a complex. The fact that one of the mods thinks that women shouldn't have the right to vote also says quite a bit about the mental state of some of the women in that sub.

So according to the dictionary definition, you're a feminist. According to my extremely arbitrary list, you fall under 3B. Alrighty
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/17 03:34 AM

That has nothing to do with social rights. When you say equal socially, that refers to how people treat men vs women. Why would you be against people treating men and women equally?

Honestly, that sounds really frustrating, especially since a lot of men actually do need help finding out how to be appealing to women. Having casual sex is nothing to be ashamed of, and neither is wanting to find out how to be basically appealing to the opposite sex! However, viewing women as inhuman emotional nebulae is something to be ashamed of.

Actually, as long as you have good hygiene and aren't socially awkward(definitely feel free to go online to find pointers if you need help with either of those things!) then all you have to do is be direct with your intentions. Most men view women as human beings Yup, minus the entirety of /r/theredpill. With your second point, there are three ways of defining "feminists." 1) Feminist by definition and by action: they call themselves feminists, and even though they might not be perfect all of the time, they try to correct themselves and speak about men and women with the definition in mind. I try to be this feminist. 2) Self-proclaimed "feminist," but is actually a "radfem:" Doesn't have equality in mind, wants men to …

Oh well I mean, yeah. Basically what you said was correct, except that I don't actually have a problem with guys getting pointers to get laid online without dehumanizing the potential fuckees.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 05:23 PM
3

I'm talking specifically about TRP indirect communication. There's nothing """tacticool""" or "diplomatic" about it. It's just dehumanizing.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 05:22 PM
3

Yes, men that view women as human beings do tend to get laid more. That is true. And yeah, I've had my fair share of guys that shit talk other men in the name of "feminism," which is pretty damn annoying. But those men tend to not even actually be feminist.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 05:14 PM
3

Uhh, that seems obvious. Of course I don't think men should be thinking or talking about women badly as a whole. And I understand that some men might need pointers from other guys online, but not if the pointers are designs to dehumanize their "subjects."
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 05:10 PM
5

So, I was right about the indirect communication style? Because I can understand if the point is to not let her know about your weird fetish until you know each other better, but manipulating her emotions in order to make her feel like she needs to have your dick, whether or not you intend to hold up the expectations you've set for her seems... dirty. Like, do you not value women for their friendships or even romantic relationships? Are we only here to get you guys off?

female nature Can I ask what "female nature" is? I mean surely there's a definition of "female nature" that holds up among all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 04:56 PM

Or, I know this is pretty far fetched, but some men might be confident enough that they aren't intimidated by the very notion of a female having the same social and legal rights as them.

This is obviously a blanket statement, and a generally incorrect one at that. You can't take the red pill approach of lying through your teeth and manipulating their emotions and telling them what they want to hear in order to get your dick wet, and be surprised when she isn't happy with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 04:35 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/17 03:50 PM

I, as a feminist, have absolutely no qualms with having casual sex with a lot of people, but that doesn't mean that it's not shitty for men to discuss women like we're goddamn science experiments. They invalidate our emotions, literally referring to them as "hamsters." The only purpose our "hamsters" serve is to cock block, so they discuss manipulating the hamsters, or emotions, to their advantage. In short, TRP is fucking gross.

My relationship is male-led, in many ways. My husband having the confidence to trust me doesn't mean he's not a leader.
