If you never have accidents then the starting cost of insurance would be fine, and it would slowly go down over years after you having an accident. The people would not be reporting how much they drive, that's up to the insurance / police to verify. If your car has 10k on it when you buy it, and 20k on it 1 year later, you clearly drive 10k/yr.

Most of their points I agreed with. I replied to the 2 questions by trying to measure the level of suffering that comes with the presumption of innocence versus the presumption of guilt. The entire point of his post was stating the history and acceptance of presumed innocence. There's nothing to address about that. In terms of pre-consenting, the argument is that while drunk, you may not withdraw consent that you would have sober. I agree. However, the birth control issue could quite simply become a new avenue for equality. Women should ONLY be allowed access to on/off birth control when men have access, too. So, until we get our reversible vasectomies, it's unfair for women to be allowed control over when they are fertile. Reversible vasectomies or a male pill should be the very first thing we fight for, so we get an equal footing in the sex issue.
