4	Github introduces "Code of Conduct" that "promotes equality", programmers react I've noticed this is a growing trend. One of the biggest tech conferences in the Midwest, Strange Loop (yes that Strange Loop) has "opportunity grants" specifically for these groups. Whatever, the conference can do what it wants, but I don't have enough privilege to cover the nearly $1000 fee every year (for the general conference and all preconf sessions). 3	What happened to the-spearhead.com? I've been wondering the same. I have had success using the Wayback Machine to find the articles referenced by TMB. Just copy a Spearhead hyperlink URL from TMB and drop it in Wayback's search field. You will be presented with a calendar that shows every snapshot Wayback took of the Spearhead article over time. 2	How to implement "me time"? Couple of suggestions: Try short trips first. Go out for a drink, don't tell her, but keep it to a few hours (at first). Just break her in. If she gives you shit its easy to laugh and dismiss because it's so little time. Leave her a note that says you've gone out, will be back late. If, as the article states, the ratio is 9/1 men to women, then yes, I would expect this. I have no issues with all-female panels discussing the role of women in technology, though, unless they are heaping blame on men without contrary representation. Smart people start speaking and writing, and the demand for their input becomes so great that they cease "doing" programming, and achieve a degree of celebrity status instead. I meant to invoke the greater good as a stated goal that the SJW's mean to achieve, not one that I particularly buy into.
