Whether it's normal or not, it's not healthy. You're building a habit of comparison that is still rooted in insecurity, evident when you said: If I see another good looking guy who I might feel threatened by.. This doesn't signal over-confidence or delusion, it signals a coping mechanism you may have used in the past to make you feel better about your shortcomings. This is not to say you aren't necessarily better looking or in better shape than these other guys but to continue to grow, you need …

These are the musings of a person finished with selfish goals. The fact that he mentions his kids signals, to me, that he is now focused on what he can do for others. Admirable and meaningful for sure. But selfish goals can still have meaning and purpose and not conflict with being content with oneself. Being happy with yourself means being happy with the journey you are on, not being happy with the person you could be.

Every interaction benefits you. Including this one. Stop it with the pessimism.

I bought a word of the day calendar to try this sort of thing

I worry that this won't get the attention it deserves.

It doesn't matter why they aren't attracted to you! The only opinion that matters is your own so if you think there's something you could improve on then do it. But do it for yourself and not because some girl isn't attracted to you.

If you're not good at something then don't do it That is a terrible mantra. Lose this ideal immediately if you want to succeed in anything. I mean that would make us all fake for having gone to school to learn and develop in the first place. You remain genuine as long as the goal is something you want. The difficult and uncomfortable bit is how you get there. This is where you can either make excuses at each hurdle by saying things like "it's not really me" or you can show some desire and willpo…

I don't rate this guy at all. His 2 simple ideas are 1) Don't have shit conversation 2) Don't send long txts. No advice, just some arrogant guy demotivating his viewers.

If you're in a rush to find something to say you're gonna be in a rush to say it. So chill. Slow down. You're not in any hurry. I find the best conversation is all about them. Ask open ended questions and let them do the talking. It's also a good idea to try and stop falling back onto "um"s and "errr"s too often. One of my pet hates is when I'm talking to someone and they fill a sentence with more "like"s and "um"s than actual story. Don't be that guy.

I'd say you're both right but fighting for 2 different outcomes. If OP wants a one night stand then there are ways he could go about getting laid but if he's after something more serious for himself then this girl's desires match his so whats the point in messing with that??

In that case how do you exercise frame control?

Damn. I was hoping you'd suggest yoga or something. You're saying that a strong frame can be developed though? It isn't something that you either have or you don't?

What's a good method of maintaining frame?

My reaction would be confusion. He's lowering his own value and giving you the perfect opportunity to be the bigger man. The best strategy would probably to say nothing but when someone is being overly critical or incredibly arrogant I'd give a puzzled look like 'who invited this guy?'.

Sounds like you're in the midst of tackling your fear man. Anxiety is still there and won't leave just because you made your first 5 approaches. Keep approaching until it becomes second nature and you'll start to relax.

Yeah I get it. It makes sense to me that if people had full confidence in their ability at having great sex then the rest would fall into place far more easily. You'd want to share that ability for mindblowing sex with all the beautiful women you can.

Make authenticity your goal. I still think this subreddit is a metaphor for self-improvement really. Focus on improving yourself in the areas you think that you're weakest means that the goal isn't a casual fuck, a relationship or whatever people want out of 'Game'. The goal becomes authenticity and being the best 'you' you can be. That's when real and meaningful relationships grow. Vulnerability is key.

You need to focus on her. Her eyes, her hair and, most importantly, what she is saying. You'll get nowhere focusing on yourself because you'll be trying to control too much. Take a step back from the situation and when you feel more comfortable that is when you escalate. One step at a time. If it is the instant anxiety that hits when you think about making a move, then that is when you have to make the fight or flight choice. Make the 'flight' choice so unbearable that fighting is your only opti…
