All of it is bollocks. Merit is the only thing that matters. This is absolutely ignorant of the fact that a lot of people approach opportunities with in baked advantage. A kid who has to work 4 hours a night flipping burgers is not likely to score the same results on a test as one who'se parents can afford two hours of tutoring a night. Ignoring those facts just allows for those advantages to stew and set in -- and it arms people to dismiss legitimate criticisms and concerns from this community.…

A buddy of mine is a councellor and talks about opening a practice centered around doing manual things. Ie; come in to change your oil/filter and while you both work on the car you can talk about all the hard stuff. Therapy, but with a manual activity to escape into so that you have a bit of emotional cover to open up. Doing social work/councelling/therapy with the goal of addressing mens issues is noble and needed. Approaching it in a way that realist about the ways people have been disconnecte…

As an enm dude -- it's a weird attitude in general. It's toxic as hell to rationalize chasing novel sex and being pissy if the person you partner with does the same.

Disclosure and discovery is a pretty important aspect of law, court shouldn't be dramatized like an episode of Maury. If you have evidence that exonerates you then a trial is a huge waste of resources.

Sue now -- it won't be seen for years anyway. And you can always motion to stay proceedings later arguing that outcome of family court is relevant to proceedings

Is it possible to persue for legal costs in civil court for expenses incurred by fraudulent action in family courts? Edit https://lklaw.ca/blog/can-my-legal-costs-be-reimbursed-in-my-family-law-case/ However, in certain egregious cases, the Court can award “special costs”. Such was the case in a recent decision issued by the British Columbia Supreme Court in J.M.C. v. Y.S., 2018 BCSC 915. In the trial J.M.C. v. Y.S., 2015 BCSC 1770 , the wife, Ms. S, had attempted to deceive the Court

In that case, they will almost certainly get the child and the abandoning parent will have to pay them child support. I have trouble believing you. There are no gendered words in the legal code concerning them There are no gendered words in the penal codes either, but the outcome is demonstrably more severe when gender is accounted for. There are literally boxes designed for the sole purpose of allowing women to unburden themselves of their children anonymously. Not only do women have access to abortions, they are allowed almost anytime to relinquish their financial responsibility AND to coerce men to be financially obligated to their choices for decades on fear of imprisonment.

There's nothing wrong with any kind of relationship dynamic ever anywhere IF THE PEOPLE WHO SET THESE EXPECTATIONS LAY THEM OUT CLEARLY AND DONT PREY UPON DESPERATE FOLK. Don't lie about what you want and need. Don't lie about what you can provide. Don't wait till you have someones feelings hostage to be clear with them. Don't seek out vulnerable people and leverage their precariousness to get them to accept things.

Do you think that child support is typically anywhere near the majority of what pays for the upbringing of children in separated families? Sure, in some cases where one partner was excessively wealthy. But most cases of ordered child support are amongst very low income people, and both sides of that seperation/order pretty much need to toss all of their disposable income into rasining the child.

If those are the things that you need to be happy then they're available in the ways that I mentioned. If you've unravelled that need and found that it's actually vapid then what you need is therapy, not the approval of someone who will let you press your genitals into yours.

If you're lonely and want someone to like you unconditionally, get a dog. If you're desperate for sex, pay someone for it. If you want a legitimate community then join a sports team, social club, gaming club, martial arts studio, art collective, reading group, hiking group, urban foraging group (literally pick your poison). I dont want anyone to suffer, but I don't feel like pretending that access to romance and sex are the cure to depression; least of all if its going to be sought after like so…

Personally, I feel like capitalism helps people practice the denial of responsibility through the notion of “ownership”. That which is not mine is not my responsibility. And thus I’m late stage capitalism we get such indifference, and many get left out. Theres a big difference here though. Food, and shelter are things that can be wrought from the earth. Government can nationalize some of it in the absolute worst-case scenarios, and in better ones, it can subsidize it. The only way to nationalize…

It reflects how life is so much easier for women Women face this same problem from the ass end instead of the face end. Lots of people approaching them with absolutely no love and a total expectation of getting to use them. People being shitty to each other is a problem that affects people, not one gender disproportionately.

The issue with incels is that there's some kind of expectation that they are owed the things they want from other people. If you want unconditional love get a dog. Sure it would be nice if you can get it from a person, but no one owes you that. If you want access to sex go pay for it. Sure it would be nice if someone wanted to fuck you for free, but again, you're not owed that. Validation is important for everyone, not just people labelled incels... But the expectation of entitlement to other pe…

I'm the last person to identify as a feminist, but it certainly does not always assume perfection. There are whole camps of feminists that seem to exist just to hate on other 'types' of feminists. Some of them exclude trans women, or sex workers for example. Like I said, I don't identify... but we do no one favors by making assumptions about people either. That's why we end up dismissed most of the time.

You take the money but instead of it helping a league with far more boys and girls, it goes to to a league with less difference between the number of men and boys. Im not a fan of patriarchy theory, but The patriarchy theory itself hinges on the idea that men have the privilege over women and that at no point a woman is at an disadvantage. The moment you introduce the concept of men suffering and having unique disadvantages in patriarchy, This is not at all representative of what people who do adhere to the theory think or preach, and lazy argument. If you wanna disagree with it sure go for it, but don't misrepresent it too.

That's a toxic behaviour for sure, by labeling it toxic masculinity implies that a woman would never do something similar, and puts a weird onus on gendering good/bad behavior. It's toxic yes. Calling it toxic masculinity creates a protected and a taboo'd class of people. Small subsets of women experience very similar episodes of toxic behaviour when things like bulimia are concerned... It absolutely means something, but I think its ignorance rather than malice, and we are better than jumping at it as if it were something its not. eh I feel like this is a cheap shot. regardless of how you feel about it, we should be hella careful about being caught on the fence with other issues that are currently hot button on the spheres of social influence. Fuck off, people can make valid powerful points even if they don't happen to have the same social or political alignments you do. We need equality of rights and justice for both sexes, not some perverted punishment reparations against either gender to offset 'privilege'

No one said that you should be jailed for accusing of rape, but the punishment should match for people who falsely accuse with intent to harm. That is to say, the victim of the false accusation would still need to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was malice and intent in the accusation to do harm/punish.

I'm with Illithoid; this isn't an issue we should be upset over. It almost feels like a witch hunt. This was a tragedy for everyone, not a tragedy for men. Who cares what the genders were of the victims or criminals? Trying to be upset over trivialities like this feels like digging way to deep for a way to foster an 'us VS them' mentality. We shouldn't take feminism seriously when it tries to genderize sympathy, and we definitely shouldn't start on that path ourselves.

I think you're missing my point; Women can't really 'cross dress' unless they do something absurd like paint on facial hair. its not that its more accepted for women to cross dress, its more that they cant really cross dress in the first place. It's like arguing that a baby can push the boundaries of being rude; Babies are exempt from being rude because everyone realizes that being rude isn't really something that a baby is in a position to be (or try not to be). The fact that women aren't celeb…
/r/MensRights29/09/14 06:25 PM

EH, Id argue the contrary actually... Cross dressing seems to be something that men are celebrated for doing, while women can casually wear mens clothes without having to identify as a member of some subculture. For men its a niche, interesting and very forward social movement (cabaret clubs, parades, etc). For women, wearing a mans clothing is just like; standard monday, maybe with a little less makeup.

The ease of making an app reach the entire market for a specific platform is a moot point now though. Recent android devices are required to fulfill a list of criterion with regards to available API for developers. things like standardized encryption support, specific sockets supports and graphic resampling/distribution of screenspace. I have absolutely no problem with people being taxed for their stupidity. Whether it be pumping millions into a lottery, buying Ionic jewelry or even not taking the time to find someone who will be in your company without you having to pay them a salary in fancy meals on the town. Just as many women suffer from deadbeat money sucking men as men suffer it in turn from women. Stupidity and greed are an aspect of the human condition, not a feature of the inequality of men/women.
