What you've written could've been about my ex wife. Every single line of this. Ever single line. It's almost chilling. You wrote it better than I ever could, though. My heart goes out to you, my good man. ❤️

Long story, but she coerced me into it to fuck a "friend" of mine, and then started boasting about all the other guys she would fuck - while I needed to call her or send her a message and inform her whether I was going to sleep with someone (I had no plans). It got ugly. She's living with my old friend now.

Holy crap, man! That is executed excellently! Damn. Your mind is clearly made of steel. I was sent to the nuthouse when I found out and you set up all this, haha. Good for you, man, glad you managed to pull this off! 😁❤️

An interesting case in point is that this guy is a self professed "I can't be in a monogamous relationship" advocate, and my ex is extremely jealous (go figure, right). They seem to claim that since they are twin flames or whatever they call themselves now, all will be well - but we'll see.

Thank you, man. Much appreciated! I don't know anything about your predicament, but hope you are on an upward trajectory as well and living your best life. Your kindness in here speaks volumes, and you so deserve it! ❤️

Hey, thanks man. I really appreciate it! I did some really stupid things while hospitalized, and also did a lot of drugs, contacted a lot of former colleagues, and they all think I'm a complete drug addicted lunatic now, and that I deserved everything that came to me. But fuck it. I don't need to be loved or understood by everyone. I'm slowly slowly climbing out of this black hole I'm in. Inch by inch, day by day - I see much more of my son now than what I did last year, so that's a start! The l…

I feel the exact same way, brother. ❤️ the person you love the most - and they just do this kind of shit. It's beyond my comprehension. And it has hurt me beyond my comprehension, and I know this probably doesn't mean much, but hey - I'm sending you all the compassion I can from here, i know what you're going through, and its fucking hell, and you for sure don't deserve any of it - and if there's any justice in this universe, you'll one day come out of this a better man with an even better life.…

She wanted to have an open relationship with a "friend" of mine and kept nagging me for it in indescribably disrespectful ways. "We're going to have sex sooner or later anyway, so you can just say yes now" - but also "but you're the love of my life and us two are the most important" - she kept at this madness for a while, it triggered my first manic episode (I've since learned that I'm bipolar), it turned out she had cheated on me already 10 years earlier over a good period of time and in very s…

Not yet, but hopefully I'll get there. I've soon been divorced for a year. Loved my wife to absolute bits - thought for sure we would spend our lives together. My life was 10/10 - and then she started fucking a "friend" of mine and it turned out she had been cheating on me for ten years. So I'm heartbroken, but also disgusted - it's a weird mix. I'm never taking her back obviously, but grieving what I thought I had still. The last year has been surreal. Hope I get there eventually!

I was where you are one year ago. Just wanted to end things. But kept going slowly slowly. Got help at a hospital. Got medicine. Got therapy. Got a sick leave. Walked the dog with my dad. Got food from my mom. Stayed at their place for a long time. Gradually built me up. One year later now - and I'm in a much much better place. I got my own apartment now, a new job, medicine is working - life is looking pretty good again. And it will for you too. You just need to get over this first bump, go to …

Oh yes. She also blamed me for not having cheated on her, "don't be so moral, everyone does it" - and so on. I was just stupid for not having cheated on her! Obviously! 😂

Sounds like my ex. She had this cold smile on her, looked me in the eyes and said this other dude was better than me in every aspect, the grass was greener etc. I had this thing when I started dating her that I even wrote about at the time - there was something weird about her eyes and her look, like she was hiding something. And indeed she was. Just took me 13 years and all my love and dedication to find out. 😫 sorry you had to experience all that my man! ❤️

A long story that culminated in her blaming me for everything that was wrong in her life one night and how I was not "open hearted" enough for her and so on. And she kept probing me about my shadows, what my failings as a human being were, where I came up short - and I was coughing up everything I could - she was still not satisfied, and then in act of desperation I asked her - what about you? What are you hiding? "Nothing!" she shouted out a little too immediately - and then I asked her "are yo…

I miss my old life, every day. I wish we didn't have to divorce, but we had to. She cheated, then cheated again, and lied about it, and lied and lied and lied. I couldn't stay with someone like that, even for my son, as much as it hurts me. In an ideal world she wouldn't be the lying cheater she turned out to be, and we'd live our happy life - but such wasn't our life, unfortunately. So, it's not better, but it was and is definitely necessary.

Didn't really have a choice (my ex was a serial cheater and liar). I still miss the life I thought I had before I discovered who my wife really was, but there's no way back to that anyway. So while I didn't really want the divorce, it was inevitable.

It's rough. I was completely blindsided by a cheating wife of 13 years who now lives with an old friend of mine. Life turned upside down in a matter of months. Still coming to terms with everything.

I feel you, man. I've been in and I'm in the exact same situation. We separated in September, but I'm still grieving the loss of the life I thought I had. I thought we had a great relationship, but she had been lying and cheating all along. It's especially rough to see her basically living the life we had with her AP and my son. Gut wrenching. But she's a terrible partner, and getting away from her had to happen. It's going to be painful for a while, but we both know that little by little we're …

Some of them, anyway. My ex wife turned out to be a serial cheater, so I guess it had to happen. So weird how someone you were so close to for years and years turned out to be the biggest liar you've ever met. It's disgusting.

Same here. Were together for 13 years before we married. We even joked we would be one of those couples that broke up after marriage. But literally the day after we got married things started to change and she just drifted away.

I feel you, brother. My ex left me for a "friend" after having cheated on me for years (without me knowing) and basically just swapped me out of her life, no remorse what so ever.

It's just a label, isnt it, but I assume mostly used by partners of people that have been cheating. If you've been cheating on someone and lying about it for years, there's an argument to be had about that person scoring relatively high on narcissism due to the fact that they're quite obviously putting themselves ahead of the other person and the relationship itself. Lots and lots of people get cheated on, which is why the label is getting much used, I assume.

It's fucking hard. The hardest part about this whole ordeal. I want to tell my son that the reason I'm seeing him less is because mommy just wanted to have several boyfriends besides dad behind dad's back, but of course that would just create complete mayhem, even though its the truth. It's heartbreaking to sit here alone knowing my son is spending most of his time with my cheating ex and her affair partner. But like the other guys have said here, it's about the quality not the quantity necessar…

Depends on your disposition, I suppose, but I have personally found a lot of refuge in old spiritual teachings, as well as more modern takes on them. They've given me a perspective and longview that a modern materialist worldview simply doesn't offer us. There's more to the universe than what is on TV, social media and in the news. People that lived before us aren't all numpties that knew nothing - we can learn a lot from their teachings, particularly when we're in a seemingly bad predicament. E…

Hey man, so sorry to hear that. She sounds horrible. Dont let her words define anything about you. She's clearly a horrible human being you should not pay any attention to what so ever. Who the hell says stuff like that to other people, let alone people they supposedly love? I get that the sadness hits. It does that. And you know why? Because you're a concientious human being, you want the best for your kids, you're a good man that unfortunately was taken advantage of. You deserve so much better…

This is what the cheaters do. Always want cake. They have a plan a, b, c and d. Stay the hell away and dont even consider touching her with a stick. She made her own bed and now finally has to sleep in it.

I'd say 9 out of 10 of my friends who are currently in a relationship met their significant other online. So it's definitely not hopeless, but I reckon you'll need a bit of luck!

It is! I'm telling that to him all the time. He's just a bit of a mama's boy still, only turns nine this summer, so I'm hoping he'll grow out of that in time. He will.

You're describing my exact situation - except she moved in with this dude the day we separated. It's fucking rough. My son also calls the house where he lives with my cheating ex wife and her new guy his "home" and he just visits me. It's heartbreaking. She wins because she cheated. My mind can't make sense of it. But I hope my son with time will feel more at home in my place and wants to live more with me. We have to hope for that. You're not alone, my friend. ❤️🙏

Fuck man. I partially know how you feel. My ex drove me literally insane, I was sectioned against my will for six weeks last summer. She didn't let me see my son for that period either. It was hell. Thankfully I eventually got out and was allowed to see him with childcare services attending, then gradually I showed that I was no danger and that the love between me and my son was reciprocal, and now I see him 1-3 times a week. As soon as I get my own dad pad I hope I get to see him even more and …

My ex wife let me hang to dry until she figured out she'd rather be with a friend of mine. Kept me in the loop for almost a year before gradually pulling the plug. Fucking ruthless. She's a bona fide narcissist, but I still grieve the end of something I thought for a very long time was good. It takes time. She's lived with her new man for 8 months now, and I'm still fucking crushed, but gradually slowly I'm seeing glimpses of light here and there, coming to terms with the fact that I could never…

She left me for someone she thinks is a better man than me. She was 37 when we divorced, we had been together for 13 years. I'm honestly not sure if she's better off, but she thinks she is. In her book I wasn't open hearted enough, and this new guy apparently is. She may be better off for the time being, but I know the guy she is with now is a huge flirt, he loves flirting with everyone on two legs, and my ex wife is jealous as hell, so I can't imagine it being all rosy forever tbh.

Well, an ex-friend now, obviously. I wasn't a jealous type. We both knew him, and whenever we were at parties together they'd often talk. I noticed that she liked him, but never imagined it was like that, I guess I was just too confident of being her main man. I felt like our relationship was strong and could stand anything. Another friend of mine offered to clobber him, but it would just make things worse, so fuck it.

Yeah, that seemed to seal it so to speak. She's even admitted as much later on, even though at the time she presented it to me she kept assuring me that I was the love of her life and so on. Fucking bullshit.

Oh yeah, I was the sole problem. I was good enough to get married to just a few months prior, so it's a bit of a mystery to me why I was suddenly just utter trash a few months later.

Thanks. I don't believe all women are like her though, I simply can't, but fuck me, it's been rough. The woman I lived for and loved for 13 years, just stabbed me in the back like that. Ice cold while she did it as well.

Married in June of 2022 after 12 years of being a couple. Best day of my life. Four months later my wife wanted an open relationship to be able to have an intimate relationship with a friend of mine. I didn't want to, but eventually caved in after months of nagging. That was the beginning of the end. We separated in September 2023. It felt absurd to me, but the last year we were together she simply swapped me out for a "friend". I only later heard that it was because I wasn't good enough at this…

I've been struggling with someone who also refused to take responsibility for her actions and always blamed me for everything. It eventually crashed. You can't be with someone who doesn't respect you and who's unable to take responsibility. Stand up for yourself!

I've been asking myself the same questions, "how can she not see it?" - it's like a flicker or a switch in her head goes off the moment you'd think she'd self reflect, and instead she goes into blame mode, and everything is my fault and I suck at everything. I just couldn't take it anymore after the last year we were together, just abuse, manipulation and lies en masse. I feel you man, I do. I think we'll eventually come to an understanding and acceptance within ourselves that we did our best, a…

This sounds exactly like the relationship I got out of. We were together for 13 years. I did everything for her, probably way too much (something my friends and family have commented on now), tolerated everything to keep things together. Then out of the blue, just a few months after we married, she wanted out to be with a friend of mine, and in the process managed to thrash me for being this and that. I'm also beyond destroyed, but have come to appreciate that it simply had to happen. It sounds …
