You know, I’ve made it through about 47 years of life.

I had some tough things happen in childhood .

I’ve lost family members.

I made it through basic training in my early 20s and even had a time with some pretty terrible turbulence on a flight overseas where I thought I might not make it.

It makes no sense to me why this divorce feels like it’s the worst thing it’s ever happened to me.

She is a terrible person.

Really, we both were in our own ways during the marriage.

I know I’m better off without her.

But I just can’t seem to shake the sadness.

I just keep hoping that when everything is final that I will get some kind of closure to help me move on.

It seems cosmically hilarious, almost, how much this has affected me and how little it has affected her.

It really displays to me just how much she didn’t ever love me and the type of person she is.

I have changed since she left, but she still exactly the same.

On her end there was never any self reflection, introspection, or admission of responsibility.

It’s mind-boggling to me that a person can exist like that.

I don’t ever see me getting a serious relationship again.

Nothing could make the risk worth it.

I desire companionship, but at least staying alone means I won’t have my heart dragged through the mud again.
