Some corrections: The thinking the girl flirting with me was a joke event happened in HS. As for putting meeting girls on hold, going to events, meetups, and parties were sucking out my time with no results. Computer Science at my university was insane I would at times literally spend my entire day from morning to midnight in a cold lab programming. So I had to put off meeting girls, I still managed to meet girls in class but unfortunately they just ended up using me for free tutoring and weren'…

Isn't this a catch 22 situation? I'm needy because I have no options, I have no options because I'm needy.

I didn't do any escalation, she did. And my intent at the time was to figure out what kind of food did she have so I could have an idea of what I wanted for dinner. Basically I asked her what kind of food was in the plate. She told me what it was and she got it from some pricy restaurant and I made a joke about how it was outside my budget. We then introduced ourselves giving a brief background on who we are. Finally she asked what I like to eat and then she suggested that we should go out some …

I see what you are saying and I was just giving a random example but as a guy with no prospects and personality that can't generate chemistry with most people (probably my high-functioning autism) how would I be able to meet enough people to keep a wide net? Most people stay within their own group and most events, venues, classes, stores, etc cater to a specific group. So I need to get out and just go to all these random things hoping to somehow meet someone. This works in college since its setu…

Because sometimes casting your net too wide causes problems. Basically you can't appeal to everyone unless you're somehow magically universally attractive to everyone and while every person has their unique tastes, people of the same "group" tend to have similar tastes. And if you aren't having luck you probably want to be like the guy girls do want in some way. For example you might have a hard time trying to appeal to both party girls and church girls since they probably both have very differe…

As for 6 and 5 how can I say nothing is wrong with me and stop trying to impress girls and get girls? If nothing is wrong with me why should I try to improve myself in 4 and 2? If I don't try to impress what would make her want to be with me? Picture a man who doesn't try to impress anyone. You see him sitting at a table alone at a coffee shop playing video games on his computer wearing some old plain clothes everyday because they are comfortable no need to waste money on things like clothes, he…

One thing that hasn't been addressed in this thread is the main question, what kind of girls should I go after since the ones I've been approaching never want me? How can I meet them?

So here's my plan in no particular order: Change my social circle - I need to hang out with new people so I'm already working on this step. At my Church I was talking to a group of Asian guys that go there since they are around my age, and they seemed to take a liking to me and wanted me to hang with them so we're planning to do regular meetups outside Church so we can hang out and do stuff together and hopefully we become good friends. Having more guy friends can help with loneliness and who kn…

Girls being jerks is unfortunately a somewhat common experience for me. That's why some people get afraid of rejection you never know if you're going to get a "not interested" or get roasted. I've also allowed myself to get used a few times and I didn't even know it. Like this one girl I knew in college who was struggling in Computer Science she acted like she was interested in me and I ended up giving her free tutoring and then in the end after she passed her course she never wanted to speak to…

I don't know about that. Last date I went on a few months ago seemed to think otherwise. The date seemed to be going well as we talked for hours and when it came time for the date to end and to go home she plainly tells me in a rare refreshing but somewhat stinging bit of honesty that she enjoyed talking to me but she didn't want to take this any further as she feels not even slight romantic attraction at all to me. To be honest I was pretty shocked I didn't see that coming.

Depends, but based off my poor success I'd say I'm either ugly, unlucky, or bad at picking girls to approach. Physically I am at least tall at 6ft 3". I've also been told I look muscular since I've been off and on weight training though I'm trying to stick with an exercise plan. But I'm also a big guy and while I'm not morbidly obese or anything close I can stand to lose a few pounds so I've been dieting for a few months now. I do wear clean clothes, have proper hygiene, and typically clean shav…

I think the main issue is I have high functioning autism so I can come off as socially awkward, weird, and unaware at times, and in the dating realm I basically have no "game" and its difficult for me to learn some since I'm not the best at reading people. Best way to describe it I'm a foreigner in my own country. I'm also fairly shy and introverted and I think some people may mistake this for low confidence. Plus some of my interests can seem nerdy and unattractive to some girls like I mentione…
