I've seen a lot of these types at the gym, they also have a habit of hogging as many dumbells as they can. It seems like they get a power trip off being able to deny you weights when you need them, you usually won't find them desdlifting or doing bench press though. Tbh I don't think it's healthy to think like this, going to the USA is not the be all end all, but if you do really want to go I'd work on keeping the a levels at at least AAA standard or if you are at AS AABB minimum so you have a solid backup plan but prioritise your SAT exams and whatever you need to get to the US.
