This looks like the only decent advice itt. Thanks for the input. I messaged her after like 5 hours of not texting her back after her 1 word reply trying to setup something for our initial plans on Wednesday. No reply yet but she has taken almost a day to reply before...and when I double texted her then she literally said "sorry I was doing X. I would never ignore your fine ass 😏". Hopefully she responds and I can recover from that awkward interaction. it was going so well.

This is not unusual. Alcohol (AKA liquid courage) lowers our inhibitions and lets us stop giving a fuck/overthinking things. You gotta learn to have those behaviors when youre sober so you dont have to rely on being boozed up everytime you interact with women.

and if she doesnt respond to the second text, you move on and stop texting her.

Well..if you dont approach her then where are you suppose to start? Just say hi, introduce yourself and make a comment about school or something you guys can both relate to. Just because you walk up and say hi to a person, doesnt automatically make you "that guy". "That guy" is the guy who is awkward and walks up to every girl in the school with a memorized script on how to pick up women. Dont overthink it, just have fun with the conversation and if she rejects you.. it is no big deal at all. Ge…

Be goofy and dont overthink your texts. My mindset for texting is to self amuse and just have fun with it. A lot of people here saying you should take 20+minutes to reply everytime, I think thats nonsense. I think it should be varied. Reply quick sometimes, take longer on others just reply when you feel like it.

Well my current SO told me she thought I was kind of a pussy the first time we met (we'd been exchanging texts for a couple months) because I wasnt really making any moves. After a while we were watching netflix in my bed and after we got done with that, I started making out with her and then we had sex. She said it was really hot, and if I hadnt done that she said she probably wouldve stopped seeing me.

Theres no way to tell. It could be the nexr girl you see, or the 100th girl. Just dont scare them away with "relationship now?"

I dont think theres such a thing as too much escalation, as long as she is responding well to your advances. In this case she was, so I dont think you did anything wrong. Very odd what she is doing here, I would give it a few days maybe even a week and then text her. If she doesnt respond I would say move on.

No, the number simply doesnt exist. Since its not real I suppose I can give it away (607)987-4224

Fake number. What the fuck was the point in her doing that. A girl gave me a fake number without me even asking for it in the first place. I'm sad :(

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. She did put "call me" though, not "text me". Either way, not sure what I should do.

She flaked out on me. I talked to her after class and asked when would be best for her and she said she was going camping that weekend so she'd "let me know." Right then and there I kinda knew she wasnt interested now for some reason. I texted her that weekend, said she was still camping and that she'd "let me know". I never heard from her after that and I wasnt gonna bother asking a 3rd time. Honestly does not bother me that much. I have a really hot FWB right now so Im happy. Keeping my eyes o…

Well as a somewhat inexperienced guy, I love innocent girls. I was with with one girl, who was hot as fuck who did all the initiating and it was just kind of intimidating. I knew she was pretty experienced and it just gave me performance anxiety, I even had trouble getting hard despite the fact she was a 10. Then I met this short cute blonde at college. Gorgeous, dressed plainly, and she was the quiet type. Omg it was just a huge turn on. Its hard to say why specifically, but I think its just be…

I know it sounds simple and dumb, but you just have to fucking do it man. I did an approach not long ago, there was a girl in my class and everyday Id say to myself that Id go talk to her after class. Everyday my heart would start beating really fast once the end of class got around, and Id make up an excuse not to talk to her and everyday Id hate myself for it. Literally waited the entire semester before I decided to say fuck it and go for it no matter what. Do or die. So I did, and I found tha…

That sir, is the plan. Im gonna break the touch barrier as much as I can and be flirty as much as I have to for her to get the idea.

Sorry that happened dude, but everyone gets rejected at some point or another, so dont let it get to you. Next time, I wouldnt confess your feelings for her. Takes the fun out of it for them and its never ended well for me.

I literally said something just like that to her, but just through text.. so whats the difference? Idk what youre talking about "stalking her friends on facebook"? I didnt do that at all.

Thank you! Reddit is killing my vibe with all the negativity. Her and I either click or we dont, and labeling it a date/not a date doesnt really change that.

I dont care if its not labeled a "date" because it doesnt matter. I still got my foot in the door didnt I?

Yes I have the balls to escalate and Im definitely going to do so. Im surprised so much of reddit thinks this girl just sees me as a friend..which never even crossed my mind prior. It just seems odd that a college girl would accept a coffee invitation from a guy shes only spoken to a handful of times, if she wasnt at least a little bit interested in him. Ive caught her staring at me lots of times in class, so Im going to assume interest here.

I just opened with "Hey! Hows it going?". Pretty boring, I know. As you could expect she just said something along the lines of "good, how are you?". I said something like "Not too shabby, actually buying plane tickets to califronia right now so Im pretty pumped about that". Then we got talking about traveling, then germany, then school, our majors, etc. Then when I had her laughing and throwing out winky emojis, I asked her If she'd liked to get coffee with me and it worked. I just tried to pla…

The thing is though, I have talked to her a few times in class and weve been in the same lab group a couple times so she knows me by name. Its not like im a complete stranger to her. I agree that asking her in person wouldve been better, but I still got the date either way didnt I? Im still counting this as a win.

Exaclty, I still got the date either way even if the method of doing so wasnt exactly ideal.

I have class with her monday wednesday and friday. couldnt ask wednesday because we had lab and we had separate groups in separate rooms so I didnt see her at all. Couldnt ask today because the person who I carpool to school with couldnt go today so I had to skip all my classes. Im going to ask her for sure on monday though!

Just got done talking to her. I asked her why she would go to our mutual friend to tell him I touched her ass(without giving any context as to why I would do that)when she shouldve just came to me about it if she had a problem. She just kept apologizing and asked if I was mad at her. She said shes not good at handling romantic relationship stuff and didnt know what to do.... tl;dr- Were all good now I guess but idk if Im gonna pursue her further

You turned out to be right this girl was just playing games with me. She told our mutual friend that shes mad at me because I touched her butt when she specifically told me not to....which I dont understand. She literally asked me to come into bed with her(its a small bed) when we were both in our underwear. This is also coming from the girl who told me in casual conversation that shes great at sex and has no gag reflex. Wtf.

Well Ive only been alone with her in her room twice. The time we were making out she just stopped and said she had to do stuff. the second time she fell asleep after 5minutes after watching netflix.

Yeah kind of odd. Maybe she expected you to get all butthurt and insecure when she said she was busy and couldnt go out with you, and when you simply didnt respond, it made her attracted to you. Idk that is my best guess, she said yes so I would chalk it up as a win.

Dont tell her you think shes really smart and pretty or ask her out for dinner. Just casually ask her out for drinks or coffee and flirt with her there if she agrees on going with you. Laying out all your cards on the table right off the bat like that is a bad idea.

I think you are taking what he said out of context. Ofc you dont want to raddle off a bunch of stories to a girl you just met, but if the oppurtunity arises I think its a good idea to tell one story. Does let the girl get to know you better, and a good story is a great icebreaker imo.

Couldnt agree more. I had a friend at college who was the most outgoing guy id ever met. He couldnt walk 20 feet on campus without walking by someone hed met and made friends with. I go out to party with him one night and he told me had a crush on one of his friends at this party. She was a mutual friend of ours and omg i was cringing at how he was talking to this girl. He was basically begging her to go out with him and he told me he would feel "honored" if shed let him go out with her. I was s…

I didnt call it a date, I just asked her if she wanted to get coffee. but yah I know I shouldve talked her up a bit first. I was too nervous to even do that but I figured all the eye contact weve had mightve made up for that a bit. I definitely feel more comfortable approaching girls now, so Ill be sure to do that in the future!

I agree with this. Just casually ask/comment on something about the class and start a convo that way.

Maybe you could tell her after a few dates your not looking for anything serious.
