Thank you for your advice and uplifting words! Indirect and open-ended while gradually building to flirting sounds like the way to go. I should be more patient talking to women but work on closing when the time comes, will also check out the blog post.

I was more transactional with people in general when I was younger. Now I don't want to just use people for favors or things, and as I've grown up I know how the reverse feels in this situation too. It could be subconscious where I want to be with this attractive woman based on her looks but that's it, fulfilling needs while feeling good. Also, I mean no offense about the no friends being a very troubling sign, but the bluntness of it made me LOL. My late grandma would be like that with me somet…

If that last part was true that's wild since I'm white and her boyfriend is black and she had AA interests during our conversation.

I'm not quitting pickup or cold approach just because of this, shit happens. I've spent a lot of emotional energy lately trying to improve without any results so I'm going try and take a step back and focus on fundamentals as learning to flirt has been a difficult process.

Well-dressed yes, good looking probably not in the traditional sense. Bald with a stocky build where it's easy to put on muscle and fat, so trying to cut back on my calorie intake and have lost some weight doing this. Lift weights and run every week but after being able to bench 225 10X a few weeks ago, decided I needed to lean up or was going to look like a powerlifter. As a result, my running is better with the new diet and weight loss. I have broad shoulders, wide chest, big thighs and calves…

Not doing online dating, and I don't even know what I'm doing wrong a lot of the time. The one change I recently made was trying to flirt more subtly and less hard, thus trying to attract and make a spark instead of just being over invested with flirting.

It seems like that, but I'm more feeler-oriented and empathic, not a logical thinker or rational for that matter. I feel everything a lot more including emotions. Good at writing, playing music, and being free-spirited. Just introverted and not naturally good at social things or being very likeable, so I go out and try to improve in these areas.

For external results, virtually none of them lately. Since I moved to a major city, I've gotten one flake phone number from several cold approaches and no dates, just a lot of rejection. Internally, I'm better at deciding to do an approach and doing it, and can let a girl know I'm interested "you're cute, attractive, etc...though cold approaching gives me a lot of anxiety and uncomfortability, I just keep trying because the alternative is staying in the house and never trying. So I'm happier I'v…

I'm in the US in a major city, but yeah most of my cold approaches are blowouts where the girls don't say anything or walk away, and if that doesn't happen, conversation lasts less than 30 seconds. I'm not good at doing this, but I want to face my fears and do better at dating. As per calibration, I'm a pattern based person that has trouble making decisions and thinking on my feet socially. I have to review and practice situations before I do them in real time ,but trying to change that. Also be…
