Man your area just sounds really low key and quiet. I would focus on getting a job in that new opening you spoke of as a main priority, along with writing that article you spoke to your editor about but that's easier said than done. Keep up your efforts in approaching and things will work out well.

Well, POF is pretty good, and OKcupid also. What you really need is a well typed out profile, with 2-3 good pictures. When you're sending opening messages, try to tailor them individually for 1 paragraph about their profile and pics whatever... but the rest of the message can be direct about what your looking for and stuff like that.

I'm in a similar position as you with this girl. Only difference is ive seen her 4 times, over 2 weekends. I think its possible that you seeing her very often might make her get used to you. It's like if all those times your seeing her you are a certain way, and don't escalate things, she'll see you as the guy to hang with, and wont expect any escalation at all. This is what im thinking. That night she was being pretty close with other guys there, but only in a smooth vocal tone sense, and hair rubbing etc. I figured the other guys have been friend zoned since they've known her way longer and nothing has happened with them beyond that. Thanks for the informative reply I felt like i needed re-clarification on that topic. Since I'm most likely going to be deferred by her, I'm thinking on a way to get some time alone with her even if its just a few minutes. I feel like if I just tell her " lets go for a walk " it would work well, or lets talk for 5 minutes or something. I could then try to see what she's all about , without coming across needy or desperate of course since I'm coming from an abundance mindset.

This is a great post man. I like the example with the have/take a penny tray since I used to dump pennies in there all the time, but when it came to taking them I would feel nervous. Now that I think about it I laugh to myself.
