I will follow your posts. I do get panic attacks. I am not afraid to admit to it. I have anxiety disorder. It is tough because one of my major anxieties is dating and a lot of seddit has been helpful tool but a lot of it also does not, I learn a lot about body language, rapport and other knowledge on women here so I enjoy that part. However being a person with a lot of anxiety this only goes so far. Traditional therapy helps as well but it's weakness conversely deals with anxiety but does not me…

I think you might be on to something. However for some and I am mostly speaking for myself the problem with social interactions with women are more than the fact they are with women than the fact that some are painfully shy, awkward and struggle to stay on the grind to success. For some the stress and amount of focus to deal with AA on a day to day basis is difficult to be consistent. My biggest issue is that seddit gives me tons of different remedies to success but it is difficult to succeed on…

This is what I need thanks man Right now I have terrible self esteem and afraid of rejection. So far I have felt like I am a loner in college. I know I am not and I have friends, but something about college that makes me feel lonely. I don't have many friends but I got a few mates. Problem is that I am awfully shy so I can't develop rapport with people and form relationships. I push myself to say hi, but maybe you can call it I introversion or fear of rejection because I don't really go further.…

I know what you mean. I met a girl outside of one of my classes. I did not get her number or full name and I tried to find her in lecture hall but my memory of her face was fuzzy. I am terrible with names and faces.

I was just thinking about this 15 minutes ago before I read this. I was telling my friend about how my issue is similar to this.

Ya that is why I came here for some tips. I bump in to people all the time. Girls and guys. But I find that many people, including me are passively interacting with one another when greeting. From what I read on r/seddit, building a good rapport with girls is key. One of my goals lately is to encourage and develop positive social habits, such as my smile, my greeting people, my listening skills... Not just with girls but with everyone. To me this subreddit is more than for PUA but for overall se…

Ya. I just wonder if there is a better way to do it that the automatic responses like "hey" because you always get a duplicate "hey". Same with when you are being asked "how are you?" It is better to say something other than just "good, yourself". Because they will 90% the time just say "good" as we'll and the impression left is less inspired. I find that just saying "hey" or "good" is too automatic. Unless if you have a glowing personality that shows with your speech, you will have hard time ma…

Professional help, talk to a therapist. Perhaps do some meditation before leave your house so you can empty your mind from running wild with depressing thoughts.

If you're a woman, and you're in the top 49% of attractiveness, you'll probably get openly hit on in just about any setting. If you're a man, and you're in the top 0.0001% of attractiveness, you might inspire a girl to whisper "wow, look at him" to her friend, but not until you're at least 50 feet away. So so true. I just have a hard time expressing myself to people socially. I tend to be invisible or at least visibly quiet. People tell me to smile more. To get out of my shell. It happens. But i…

I thought one-itus because someone told me I had that once. Sort of codependent way of me falling for every girl I get close with. But I guess that was not the big point of my vent I do talk to strangers often since I am new to college so almost anyone I talk to is new. The problem is that I don't develop friendships with those people. Especially girls. Most of the time you are right I have AA with girls. But with general people I meet I have hard time making friends. Ill look at that r/hownotto…

Ya you make great points. I just feel like it is tough to break out of ones shell in a new place. Usually it takes me a while but it is my goal to make as many new friends as possible. It is not easy. Remembering names and establishing connection is tough. Especially with girls.

I just felt mystery method did not relate to me because when I read it I was like 17. On my way to college but even in college it is not like I am trying to pick up women at night in bars.

Working out is scientifically proven to be good for the body and the mind. If you want to be the best that you can be, and you should want to be the best you can be in dating, then working out is key.

Good advice. I needed that too. What about classroom AA. Especially when you sort of established familiarity from the few weeks of school that started.

I read mystery method. It did not help. I could not relate. I tried Conquer Your Campus. But it was kind of telling me what I know. And it did not reach me Which comes first the inner game, or the AA. Or should I do day game first?

Thanks Eric. I actually approached a girl today. Well I met her before but I was introduced to her by my friend who was also fond of her. I saw her with a girl at lunch and asked to sit with them. And I did. I did not pull numbers or make huge jokes or flirt but I did establish myself one step closer to my goal. I have a goal to make 8 girl friendships in five weeks. I think if I get that done I will be great. I heard you have social anxiety as well. Legit, i suffer panic attacks at times about …

I feel afraid that telling a girl is cute is too cheesy and she will see right through it as me being a weirdo. I don't know. Honestly I never see or hear anyone do those type approaches. Maybe if I had a wingman. Sadly I dont

Kind of reminds me of myself now. I search for how I can get game or learn game to get girls attention or to make approach easier. It is difficult because it is all about self confidence to take risks and obviously confidence is hard to have when you tend to feel bad about your love life to begin with. As a 21 year old guy who tries so hard just to get noticed by working out and dressing nice and being a nice guy, I can't help to feel frustrated because I still struggle with one-itus, introversi…

My friend is great at that. He just says something like "(insert name)!! I keep seeing you everywhere" are you following me? What's your number I don't have it.". It works every time. He uses it on guys and girls because he is a super friendly person. But it Is great for this. Just ask for the number because you want it. You don't have to promise to make plans I'm future then and there. If they like you even remotely they will give you their number. Don't make it like you are asking them a favor…

True. I tried to approach a girl I was introduced to by him. We were passing by today and chatted and I said we should have dinner again because I met her at dinner with my friend. She said "ok ya". But it was kind of awkward. I asked it awkwardly to begin with and it kind of came out not as fluid as I hoped. So that is why I dont expect her to respond. But I am trying. It is tough. I don't have confidence most of the time and I am hardly my fun happy self that my good friends know me for. In pu…

Ya. I am just worried since he is my new college buddy that he might find it off putting. The dude is incredible. I been there for one year. He is brand new, not even 18 and had sex with a girl on the second night of college. Now he is not going to hook up because he is looking for relationship and dating. He knows more people than me and everyone seems to adore him. He has player skills that make you feel stupid. Sometimes walking with him he strikes up conversation with girls and it is not unt…

As a shy guy. I have always been overwhelmingly attracted by girls who would try to pick me up.

I have the same issue. I attributed to the fact that my Dad was known for doing the same. I guess that is where I learned it. I also know I am very shy. I also have trouble making eye contact. I improved this by telling my closest friends, "hey I am working on eye contact would you point it out for me when I am not making good eye contact with you do I can get better". It helped a lot. I know the mirror exercise is the most common advice. I don't like it. Posing for a mirror just does not work a…

Well the books encourage that. In the same way seddit does. I just feel like giving it a try. See what I learn and put in use. Try out. I totally know what you are saying. I just feel more confident this way.

Ya but the benefit of a book especially a good book is that it allows me to look at things perspectively and analyze things in a way that makes sense. It allows me to create the framework of a list of goals and how to go about doing them. I also follow a book for working out even though I know the basics, I enjoy the ability to reference something or having a program where I can tinker and adjust from. That is just the kind of person i am so I think a book on dating and meeting girls in college …

See I was in summer semester do I was with other girls but there were not many and often they had boyfriends. I did not sit next to the girls. By I knew I should. It is incredibly stupid but I know I should. I hope in the fall I can start off strong because I feel like i warmed up eventually overtime. But I always lose chance on real connection because i tend to ignore girls if I come across them. Mainly because I got that AA Like today I was on treadmill at the gym and a cute girl I see often b…

Wow thanks I am looking at some of the reviews. They seem like they apply to me. I read something about inner game is not concentrated on in the book or whatever those were the words. Personally I don't care I just feel like books like The Game and other stuff don't seem to be advisable for college. Reputation is important and i don't to go into college looking for sex craved party girls. Especially because I find those types to be typically annoying or not that nice to associate with. Education…

I just saved that to my little notepad of ways to talk to girls. My biggest challenge with girls and relationships is that I was am afraid that my problems with talking or meeting girls must mean that I have "issues" and that whole idea makes me feel low self esteem. Sort of a vicious cycle. So even if I talk to girls, and this could apply to most people I meet, I never really get past the "hey" greeting when I see them. My voice gets caught in my throat and I always fail to make eye contact or …

So can I ask how can a 20 year old college student as myself learn conversational skills to talk to girls? All the reading I have been seeing is focused on either bar scenes or trying to get a girl's number within initial conversation. In my mind i just never feel comfortable enough to jump to through steps so fast, I never dated before and it seems odd how much pickup stresses to approach, number, ask out for coffee or something.... don't think that would work for let's say a girl in my class t…

Oh now I get it. It was confusing me. Still a bit confused because I have been so focused on the "hype" that it is hard to accept this other approach. The only issue I have with this is that I am less confident because the hype aspects can make a guy feel better about themselves and more confident.

The basic rule of seddit for me is that you got to accept that most people do not approach others and most people rather be approached. Everyone wants to be noticed and be complemented. You got to be outgoing and approach people. Being a friendly person in general makes you more approachable as well. Be natural, be yourself. Guys can easily tell when a girl has low self esteem, so you got to love yourself too.
