I would like to give you just one piece of advice based on my experience. The timing of her replies might be explained by a lot of different reasons and I highly doubt it that someone here will be able to guess the right one. You are the most likely person to understand why she does that since you know the background of your communication, the vibe that you get and, as much as I am skeptical about this term, very often you can tell intuitively whether a girl is interested in you. Sorry for the p…

What texting guide would you recommend?

Thank you. Actually, I just deleted the chat with her and decided not to write her again. I am just prone to analysis paralysis and now I can't understand why she would need to spend so much time instead of just ignoring my messages in the first place or just keep answering with one word. I just cannot stand those mixed signals :)

Casual... Easier said :) I guess it's highly unlikely that she will say "yes" to someone whose name she heard for the first time yesterday.

I could invite her to an event I am attending with my friends and brother tomorrow. Probably, this way it will be more comfortable for her. What do you think?

Trouble is, there were plenty of people in the room (and a math lesson at the same time). I am, as you might have guessed, not very great at small talks so I just smiled and quit. I already have her phone number, by the way. I knew her nickname so sent her a message using it. She added me to her contacts so now I have her number (that's how it works in Telegram). The little talks we had were in the messenger and even less in person when I was in the dean's office. I really hate to seem desperate…

Now I think I should have answered that, but it's too late. Anyway, no matter what I write the best option is just to completely move on and exclude her from my life.

You are undoubtedly right. I just can't get rid of this "gestalt" and for some reason want to understand her behavior which doesn't make much sense to me. It seems logical to me when a girl tries to avoid the guy showing romantic interest that she can't reciprocate. In her case, however, she enjoys spending time together, but only on her terms.

Honestly, I never managed to understand her motives. I guess she lost interest and now just behaves in quite a manipulative way. I told her almost exactly what you advised. Her answer was, "I didn't know what day the game was on. If you write me, I will definitely come."
/r/seduction26/03/19 02:46 PM

Invite her to the next game? You know, it seems to me that she just likes going out and spending time there, but she doesn't even care about me in the friendship sense. Of course, I had better not care, and yet this feeling of being manipulated is irritating. And her message sounds like she just wants to attend the games, no matter with who.

As I said, that was a mistake of mine to return to this girl.

I was referring to this particular situation. My idea was that it's obviously no use trying to ask out a girl that made it clear several months ago she was not interested. Of course, this is a bit unpleasant, but not a big deal. I appreciate your trying to cheer me up :)

What kind of mental hole are you talking about?
/r/seduction04/06/18 05:30 AM

That was a matter of personal preference. I can't say that I'm an avid fan of boxing, but if I have to choose a combat sport, I like boxing best.

Hey there! Initially, I wanted to do both weightlifting and boxing, but my trainer told me it wasn't the best idea for two reasons: 1) My body will have enough time to recover fully (at least during the first months of training) 2) Lifting weights is not very popular among boxers (with exceptions, of course). Boxing is much more about mobility and endurance. Strength is crucial too, but ordinary pull-ups and push-ups are arguably more than enough for that purpose. Surprisingly, I have gained 7 p…

I didn't really mean that I wasn't going to ever talk to women. Just there aren't any in my life now I feel attracted to.

So glad to hear that! Keep it up, my friend. As soon as I have more free time, I will start swimming too
/r/seduction13/02/18 04:44 AM

I understand that. There's just one woman among my colleagues (and she is married) and none at all at my boxing gym. There are no other alternatives, but to go out and initiate communication. I just feel now that I don't want to force it. I feel absolutely okay right now without any relationships.

Neither can I. Obviously, for the most part, I'm still the same person. If I had nothing better to do, I would still be thinking about my recent failures in communication and send lame texts to girls that aren't interested enough. At first, I tried to apply those texting methods where you need to deliberately delay your messages and do some other cheap imitation of confident behaviour. That just didn't work for me. Whenever I tried to behave like an alpha male, I understood that in reality, I wa…

Recently I have read plenty of articles on texting and how it should only be used for logistics. I believe that this is just a temporary solution. Why would you want to avoid texting by all means? To hide your neediness. You can follow all these rules, but after all you are still the same needy person trying to imitate the behaviour of non-needy and confident men. (By "you" I'm not referring to the OP) These days I'm starting to lose my faith in the 'fake it til you make it' approach. It can wor…

Just started. Actually, I already feel much better. I'm no longer trying to be a nice guy. Manson's Models and The Subtle Art also contributed to how I interact with people. Recently I just randomly asked an attractive girl out, the very thought of which would make me tremble in the past. This time I didn't care at all about the answer. I just did it for the sake of trying. Paradoxically, she said yes, and now I don't wanna go.

On the one hand, you're absolutely right. I don't want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't like me the way I am. On the other, I admit having a number of problems related to the way I communicate. Although this is what I am at the moment, I'd like to change that and stop being so anxious, unconfident, needy and moody. I have already started working on all of those, but this is apparently a slow process. Getting a gym membership is easy, whereas changing your mindset is not.

Actually speaking, we don't even talk anymore. I just thought how stupid that situation was when we were obviously very interested in each other, but then suddenly everything fell apart.

Let's say some hypothetical person is sick. His or her goal is to get well. Actually, there are two alternatives: treat the disease that causes your sickness OR take some painkillers to mask the symptoms In Models Mark Manson aims at handling the initial reason for one's social issues (not only with girls). It might take longer and require harder mental work to dispose of your old ways of thinking and acting, but in the end, it will make you a better person. On the other hand, one can just learn …

Thank you very much, man! It's incredible how sometimes a person you've never met in real life might help you so much more than people around you. A little update, as you suggested, I took some time to answer her message, and my response was very short and to the point similar to how I write when at work. Then I deleted the chat and got obsessed my new job responsibilities and self-improvement. Surprisingly, she has just sent three messages telling that she finally watched what I had recommended…

Catch 22: Lack of success with women results in confidence issues and vice versa. The only solution is to stop judging yourself by how other people perceive you. As is well known, gender is irrelevant here. Based on my own confidence issues, it's obvious that one can't be lacking success with women and be exceptional at everything else. Failures with girls are just a symptom.

It's hard to believe, but today I got a job promotion and received plenty of positive feedback from my boss, which really made my day. Needless to say, I wasn't even thinking of answering this girl's message. I have decided to follow your advice and ignore her message at all. Some things are better left in the past.

Thank you. I feel so much better now. I have been on seddit for just a week or so and I already feel more confident and congruent. I'll probably text her in 2-3 days no matter what will happen next. Anyway, right now I'd better concentrate on self-improvement and getting rid of faulty beliefs.

She has just answered (after almost 2 days). I don't know whether this is just a coincidence, but she decided to write me after I had posted an awesome photo of myself and then my review of Black Mirror which were both actively commented by my female Facebook friends. She wrote me right away. I bet I shouldn't answer her this time regardless of how much I want to. Else it will take her ages to answer again and I will always be trapped in this needy shit.

Your situation looks a lot like mine (except that mine is much worse). These are some conclusions I have made based on my sad experience: This means nothing if a girl likes all your posts on Facebook. Just that she liked what you posted. A girl might accept your invitation out of politeness and then suddenly disappear. This is exactly what happened to me twice. My recent web-crush also wrote how good it was to find a soulmate and how terrible her previous relationship was. This is bullshit. Word…

That's a great name! I need to use this method too. Interestingly, as soon as I have felt at least a bit of reciprocity my behaviour changes dramatically and I start joking and mocking. Yet, when the level of uncertainty is high my neediness knob is switched on right away. Well, there's obviously a lot to work on. Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it.

I have a tendency to treat attractive girls like the prize and put them on a pedestal.

I just thought how much funnier one might instantly become if they don't laugh at their own jokes. It took me so long to master this serious style of joking :)

I might be wrong here, but I guess physical attraction often follows one's attraction as a person. It could be just me, but charismatic people seem much more attractive than they actually are. Not sure, however, whether charisma is entirely related to personality or physical appearance.

Constant comparing yourself to other people is, according to my own experience, the ultimate killer of confidence. No matter how intelligent or good looking you are, there will be someone who will make you feel miserable when compared. Right now I'm working hard to get rid of this destructive habit. Saved the pic.

I like the term "congruence". I believe that you can be whatever you want as long as your behaviour is aligned with your mindset.

There are plenty of people around trying to support me. Too bad my mood issues ruin other people's mood as well. It seems to me that there are two primary aspects that result in these issues: I'm not satisfied with my current job (it's dull and seems meaningless to me), and the way I failed with my latest crush even though she was initially very interested. Last time I wrote her she didn't even bother to answer. That said, it was a terrific experience that made me want to change my old ways and …

This is a fairly good style for introverted people like us. I think that I already use it. I have always been more of a listener. Often that doesn't help either. There is something deeper here as my lack of confidence is obvious not only from the way I speak.

Thank you. What you wrote sounds very reasonable. You are right, I would like to keep the critical voice, but make it more encouraging. I am prone to measure my own success by comparing myself to other people that are much more successful. I have noticed that I'm always constantly stressed due to how I evaluate my current success. I can't even relax and enjoy the present moment even when these moments are truly enjoyable. I wouldn't say that I hate myself. I just have this emotionally suppressin…

Intuitively, I understood that the flowers and overly intellectual talks are a no-no. I always have two dramatically conflicting feelings as regards how I should treat girls. On the one hand, as many people here, I have read Models by Manson and I understand how important it is to be not needy. On the other hand, subconsciously I follow the pattern I was taught by my parents according to which one should buy a bucket of flowers and behave in a respective way. Based on my current experience, most…

I find it difficult to figure out what exactly goes wrong and when. In my case, the scenario has happened more than once. An attractive girl seems interested, but then I might start to behave in a needy way which kills the initial interest.
/r/seduction28/12/17 06:25 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
