Play lots of soccer, take lots of shots. You'll find that you become simultaneously better at impressing those around you and less interested in impressing them...to an extent they go hand in hand.

Some people see the blank slate as a negative. These are the people that tend to identify strongly with their accomplishments and life situation. They have a narrowly defined life based on what has happened to them in the past and what they project for themselves in the future. The reality is that most of these circumstances are dictated to the person (not by the person), although the illusion of self-design is present. Others see the blank slate as a positive. These are people that don't identi…

Love it. Recently I have been using this method of "serious" question --> goofy response; goofy question --> "serious" response. It puts you in the driver seat in terms of the conversation, i.e. you become the leader in the conversation, not the follower

I would agree...clothing is pretty far down the list in priorities for "improvement" in pickup skills

I would even go so far as to extend it to inner game--"if you can't take yourself seriously first, why would anyone else take you seriously?"

It makes me sad that you are getting downvoted for this. You are right...this really creates limiting beliefs, e.g. if i'm not at 10% body fat I can't pull, if I'm not wearing my best shirt I can't pull, if my room isn't clean I can't pull. This creates too much fucking noise in your head. Personally (and anecdotally, of course), some of my best nights have come under circumstances where I "couldn't/shouldn't" be able to hook up--when I have a gnarly rash, or have rotting food in my room, or am …

I was thinking about this example last night: Imagine you are hanging out with a friend and he puts on a movie of his choice. Would you rather have the friend that is constantly looking over to see if you are laughing/enjoying yourself, or the friend that laughs when he finds something funny and doesn't keep checking on you. He chose to watch the movie because he enjoys it and is more or less bringing you along for the ride. Of course you would rather have the second friend...this all ties back …

My counterintuitive advice: be blind to the small signs from others that may indicate that they don't want to hang out with you. When you constantly worry about being unwanted, your subtle behaviors will make you an undesirable person. When you are just a fun guy and don't really care too much about whether or not people like you, they will be drawn to you. I used to be in a situation like yours and this new mindset really helped me.

Yes, but you can get frozen in stage 3 if you don't consider that 4 and 5 exist. They are not necessarily natural consequences of spending time in 3, and sometimes people need a little push to start thinking more deeply about their progress.

Don't get obsessed with #2. Some basic recognition of social cues is helpful but if you spend your entire focus on trying to read others' body language and phrasing, you will be such a head-case that you'll never get anywhere. Be confident in your ability to vibe with any- and everybody, and this one will pretty much take care of itself.

Yup. Guys do not want bitchy girls. Guys want confident girls...sometimes this confidence spills over into "bitch" territory, and if it does so too often it can be a huge turn-off. But on the whole, at least personally I would prefer a woman to be an occasional "bitch" in guarding her interests than to be a complete pushover who lets me do/say/act whatever/however I want even if it's out of line.

"Hey I haven't been in class all week, what have we been doing?" Then work in your naturally funny, teasing attitude into whatever she explains to you.

Cheesy 80s movie. Laugh together at the outdated shit for chemistry, escalate kino accordingly. Make her giggle then kiss her, the rest is kinda on you. Also kinda lets her know you aren't too serious about watching a movie which is pretty good sub-communication to put off if you are actually looking to bang her.

Different actions mean different things to different women in different contexts, so it's impossible to answer your tl;dr in a straightforward manner. If you like smoking cigarettes, and aren't just doing it to seem externally "cool," then smoke them. Your own confidence in your behavior will be attractive.
