I have. They are just as insecure as the other ones, if not more as their value is COMPLETELY invested in their looks. Just more of a diva, high maintenance, and honestly not as good in the bed as they feel they dont have to work to please you. Reward to effort ratio is off

Yeah, this has all to do with how you feel about yourself. There is no quick fix, work on your inner game and with time, you will develop confidence.

Stop whining. Be a man. Make yourself happy, forget others for now. Thank you

as you have correctly assumed I am an agnostic and found AA too focused on a "higher power" to take away their desires as opposed to realising that the strength has always existed within themselves. My alcohol issue stems from my trying to get a moment of happiness among the week of depression, which I ALWAYS take too far, which in turn causes even worse crippling depression which I endure until the next time a drink, I usually only drink on Fridays and spend the next 6 days recovering. I think …

I've filled my life with so many external influences, i literally dont know how to feel happy without some kind of chemical assistance...validation, love, drugs, sex, alcohol. If im not in one of those things Im depressed as fuck and life is completely meaningless. Pathetic huh. Guess I've done step one. I KNOW I need to change and it is ME that is the problem.

thank you, another one of my incorrect thought patterns are the "all or nothing, perfect or absolute failure" mentality I have with life... It is the complete hopelessness I feel when I think of being completely free from needing validation, completely unconcerned about the opinions of others and other beta behaviors..how can one completely eliminate them? But you say this should not be our goal, getting better should be our goal as we will never eliminate them all.

definitely desperate for validation, I FEEL myself wanting to be validated. I've slowly stopped doing whatever I used to do just for validation...but beyond that I cant get rid of the feeling. Its like I'll want something..and I will look deeper into myself and see that I want it because how it will make me look to others. I know this is wrong..I just don't know HOW to stop. The things that I have currently been doing for myself in for the past month or so; working out 5x a week maintaining a ca…

thank you for this advice. I have begun the journey, Ive read the sidebar, I've employed TRP tenants, I've focused on myself and realized why I am in the position I am in. But because I am now so much more aware of my extreme beta behaviors, I feel terrible every single time I exhibit them. Do I just ignore this and "carry on" and one day...with time...I shall drop these beta tendencies completely?

Oh. Sorry yeah I did. This is why I made the most..i logically know exactly what I'm doing wrong, I just cant see to understanf why I feel this way if I know I am completely fucking up these interactions by being needy, insecure and selfish.

Thanks for reading. While a hard 'pill to swallow, I think you are right. In all my interactions its 'what can I get from them' mentality as opposed to how will it benefit the both of us. I will need to work on this

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
