Day game is my preference. I would recommend being active and having a line up of activities for your day, shopping at the mall, coffee at a cafe next to a college campus, a beer at a popular bar during happy hour, finish it off with a couple groceries. During this you can scout and just approach based on what the girl is doing. I am a big fan of cold reading, or comment on what they are wearing or doing. I haven't had a lot of luck on the instant suggestions. I can usually get a K-Close, #-close, or follow up date in about 15 min, it allows you to build some rapport.
