You should seek professional help. I'm not saying that dismissively. If you hate yourself, there isn't really anything here that will help you until you work on that.

If you truly aren't attracted to this girl and never were, I don't think that really counts as being in the friend zone. The friend zone implies you were interested in someone/had feelings for someone, and either never made a move, or were rejected. If those things didn't happen, you aren't really in the friend zone, you're just friends, which i think is an important distinction. Yes you can get out of the friendzone. I've seen other do it and done it myself. Generally you just need to become a …

The way you describe preparing your apartment reminds me of that scene from American Psycho where he describes his morning routine. I obviously don't know you but from what you're posting, maybe you give off a similar vibe that they pick up on and kinda weirds them out?

say it with confidence. They like themselves and they are comfortables with how dirty their minds are. You could almost say they are without shame, or shameless.

Dating sucks for low value women too. Unattractive girls generally aren't being pursued by anyone they would want to date. At least if you're a low value guy, you can work on yourself and if you try, can generally punch above your weight. If you don't want to put any work in, you could probably get on OK cupid and easily find an unattractive overweight girl. The idea of "women have it easier than men in dating" that gets thrown around here really means "high value women(attractive) have it easie…

Way to be nuanced. There can be a middle ground between thinking looks "literally don't matter AT ALL" and that they're the only thing that matters(which wasn't what the OP said or implied). Call it discouraging if you want but if you're out of shape, wear ill-fitting clothes, etc, there are lots of girls that would otherwise at least stop and talk with you, that will instead blow you off. That doesn't mean you need to get cosmetic surgery or workout 6x a week. It just means you should be doing …

this is not his first approach, nor his last. Halfway down the page, a girl commented: LMAO. This same guy pulled that same move on me 2 hours ago at Copley square Who knows if it was actually him but would be funny if it was true, and only proves your point even more.

He's right though. Skimming your post history, it's clear you're trying to hang onto something you should have let go of already. If you peaked in college, you did it wrong. Get a better job in a bigger city so you can do dope shit in a place crawling with good looking women.

I would advise against this. You don't need to put the time, money, and effort towards a masters/PHD just to have an excuse to be on a college campus. People in grad school are older anyways, and the classes are smaller. You won't be in huge classes with hundreds of people but will instead go through with the same small group of people.

The best way to "keep the party going" after college is to have a good job/make good money so you can do cool shit and afford nice stuff(specifically a decent place in a nice/hip part of town). I moved to a new, larger city for work after graduating and now am friends with lots of people in their mid to late 30s who party just as hard if not harder than I did in college. They are well into their careers and can therefore take nice trips, afford nice places and do cool stuff. Coming out of school…

First of all, can you elaborate on what you mean by being "shit on"? Are girls legitimately mean to you or do you feel you're entitled to some sort of attention from them? Are they actually reaching into their pants and throwing feces at you when you talk to them?

Honestly man I just browsed your post history from the past 14 hrs or so and its a cesspool of negativity, anger and whining. Ask yourself what girl would want to date such a negative person. You are the asshole. If you're all about everyone deserving decency and courtesy in dating, go hop on okcupid or POF and start messaging overweight unattractive girls. Seriously unless you are grotesquely deformed, whatever you look like is the least of your worries it seems.

Your post isn't the most comprehensible so correct me if I'm understanding you wrong, but part of it comes off as though you see working out and dressing nice as trying too hard? You put "buff" in quotes, mention hipsters, etc. Don't fall into the trap that working on your physique and trying to dress nice is tryhard, douchey, or fake. Suggested this before here multiple times but take note of couples whenever you are out and about. Specifically good looking girls, and the dudes they are with. Some will certainly be with guys of similar physical attractiveness but you will see hot girls with average dudes. Pretty common TBH.

She's probably not interested. Doesn't mean you creeped her out, could be a bunch of reasons, maybe some that don't have anything to do with you. People ignore texts because it's hard to tell someone you aren't interested/let them down. Not just girls that do it either, they just do it more often because usually a guy is pursuing a girl. This isn't directed at you since you don't necessarily seem upset, but to anyone reading: Don't ever get mad or feel slighted because a girl stopped responding …

It just happens unconsciously that if a guy talks like this and walks like this and has this body language then boom attraction. Body language is very hard to fake and girls have a near-superhuman ability to read it. There are a lot of situations where your facial expressions/body language will sell you out long before you have the chance to sit there and think of the "confident" way to respond. It's been shown that facial reactions to emotional stimuli are more-or-less automatic/uncontrollable,…

"Always be in control with women. Put them in their place. Put them on a leash." This gives off a very objectifying vibe. Sounds insecure. You can say it isn't, and maybe it isn't, but it's how it comes off. You can be a confident, in control guy without treating women like they're dogs, using a punish/reward system. Don't be so quick to call anyone who disagrees with you a white knight either. One of the girls I'm seeing always says "you're such a dick" and that it's why she likes me. I don't r…

Do you consider yourself attractive? Like above average attractive? If so, that could be the issue, and I would advise that you let loose and don't be afraid to show some of your flaws! Well said, couldn't agree more. I think it's pretty well known in psychology that we are heavily influenced by our experiences at young ages. This is usually in reference to early childhood but I don't see why it wouldn't also apply to our experiences in our teens/early adulthood, and those experiences(or lack thereof) with the opposite sex.

You can only trust that she won't do anything(and if she likes you, I promise you that in all likelihood, she won't). If you try to say/do something about it, it will come off as insecure, and probably make her upset because nothing is actually going on. Confirmation bias. You are seeing all the women you have approached/slept with who cheated, without considering all the women you probably approached who said they had a bf/were married, and it didn't go anywhere. I could see this warping your view even more if you've never been in a relationship(I'm assuming you haven't if you were a hardcase before you got into pickup). That said, if you don't see the point of a relationship because you can meet and sleep with lots of girls, that's up to you. …

It's like working out. If you just go to the gym for an hour, 3-5 times a week, and put in a lot of effort, you will probably see some good results even if you don't really have any idea what you're doing(barring injuring yourself from lifting incorrectly or something). You'd probably see better results than someone who read about fitness and lifting plans on the internet all day and only went to the gym once a week(but did the "best"/most proven workout there is). If someone told me their bank got robbed at gunpoint, I would find that interesting. Maybe there isn't much to the story beyond that, but I would certainly mention it. It's exciting. Does every story have to somehow tie into your value when telling it?

If you're asking this question you probably shouldn't try to tell a story in a way that makes you look good, you'll come off as a braggart/try-hard. The story is already pretty interesting. Just tell it to her without trying to spin it to put you in a positive light.

I don't agree with this at all. No matter how well you handle it, it can still turn sour if your co-worker doesn't handle it well, and that isn't really something you can know about someone until it happens. I hope this subreddit and community is extinguished I'd rather see it changed/transformed, and I think it is currently undergoing that. It is certainly a far cry from what it was over the past decade or so. I don't think the goes against what was posted. Did you really "do anything about it" and continue pursuing her, or did you move on with your life? What might be better to say, is that your best chance with any girl that already turned you down, is to stop pursuing her and pursue/date other girls, and she might come around sometime far into the future. Odds still won't be great though.

This is cognitive dissonance at its finest. Dudes can't reconcile with the fact there are dudes who aren't better looking or wealthier than them, that are dating hot girls, so they assume there must be some factor they don't know about. Maybe sometimes it is money or a huge dick, but I would bet they're just cool confident dudes most of the time.

Every time a dude makes a thread here about his looks it becomes clear from the content of his posts that his confidence is the issue. I always tell people to just look around at couples when they are out and about. You're gonna see lots of beautiful women with average-at-best looking dudes who I can only assume are also not rich or famous.
/r/seduction17/03/15 03:42 PM

That will happen a lot, probably more often than not. Could be she gave you her number but wasn't really interested, or a million other reasons. If she was interested she would text you back. Move on. Definitely don't text something passive-aggressive like someone else suggested. It won't do you any favors and just makes you look bitter.
/r/seduction17/03/15 07:37 AM

I could see that sentiment and it's unfortunate because it's hard to separate the advice given with their views on women. The people that could use that advice the most are probably also the ones who are most impressionable to those views - guys with little to no experience with women, who are quite possibly bitter about that lack of experience. http://www.reddit.com/r/offmychest/comments/220qkz/former_red_pill_dude_ill_share_with_you_guys_my/ http://www.reddit.com/r/offmychest/comments/2qtkp6/c…

However, I often see comments that are just "ill feeling towards women," with no scientific backing/basis, will be corrected and down voted very harshly. Their self-improvement advice is fine but it's hard to argue there isn't a strong undercurrent of hatred there. I don't even really think it's due to their philosophy, but more so the people that are attracted to it. A lot of bitter men who have either had little success with women, or have been wronged by them somehow. Doesn't help that they t…

Good on you to realize that. I think a lot of people on here get into this stuff largely because they feel like they have something to prove. On top of wanting to be good with women, a lot of guys want to be seen as someone who is good with women, or not be seen as someone who isn't. I know it's something I wrestle with sometimes. Like you said, I encourage everyone to take an honest look at their motivations and potential insecurities.

Mentioned this to a guy just last night on here complaining about his looks: Look at couples when you are out and about, and how attractive they are. You're going to see a lot of beautiful girls with average to below average dudes. Maybe a hottie here or there who is interested in being in a relationship with me (because I am funny, good personality, smart, that kind of shit), but no pure sexual attraction. You really need to try to stop applying your male sensibilites to women. This was, and continues to be, one of the hardest things for me to reconcile with in doing this - you have to stop thinking that attraction works the same way between genders. It just doesn't. Jesus, could this be more heavy-handed? Firstly, are you talking about one girl in particular or a string of girls? It isn't quite clear. You need to stop being around this one girl, or these girls. Just from what you wrote, you seem to be doing what nice guys are always accused of doing around here - expecting something in return for acting a certain way, even if it might not necessarily be being nice in these situations. It actually seems like you're trying too hard to not be the nice guy, and it probably comes off as incongruent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLRJef5-PAw Not really 6/100. One girl seems to agree and is with a friend, which they count as two even though her friend doesn't say anything(doesn't actually show how far they go along with it), another is a group of 4 where one girl jokingly says they will if he buys them a drink, but they at least play along. I think the bigger takeaway is only a few girls act hostile towards him, even with such a bold question.

Aside from the "old-school" style of pickup that was somewhat inauthentic, a reputation that managed to stick, this community is obviously going to attract insecure guys, and those insecurities can often manifest themselves in off-putting ways. Judging one side of a couple based only on one side of a story only shows that you care more about choosing a "winning" side so that you can feel justified in your reaction, as opposed to taking an active part in analysing yourself and your gut reaction to the situation by hearing both sides openly. I hope you can see the irony in these assumptions, given what you have been arguing.

OK, let's lay out a hypothetical situation here. A buddy comes to me and tells me he just found out his girlfriend of 3 years has been cheating on him with someone else. He has been faithful to her for their entire relationship, and was under the impression that she had been too. He is completely crushed. You, absolutely, have ZERO RIGHT to judge anybody I do, though. Anyone has the right to judge anyone else, for any reason, even if the judgement is misplaced. Not sure if we are using the same definition of "right". If you are implying that, morally, we shouldn't judge anyone, I still disagree. If I know that someone knowingly cheated on someone else, and they knew that person would be hurt by it, I will absolutely judge that person and think they are selfish. Not sure what your disagreement wit…

It's not my responsibility, it's my right. Just because I don't know for certain if this specific person cheated, doesn't mean I can't know for certain if someone cheated on someone who wasn't me, and can't subsequently judge them for it. You are missing the forest for the trees, unless you are denying that people cheat on their unwitting partners, which is an even dumber stance.
/r/seduction19/01/15 06:48 AM

Redpill is different than seduction is that their entire ideology is soaked in hatred for women. I suspect it is because most of the people there don't get attention from women and blame them for it, or have been wronged(cheated on, divorced) by someone. They see women as manipulators, that will essentially sleep with many 'alpha'/high value men during their sexual prime, then settle down with a 'beta' male to take care of them after they hit "the wall"(essentially when they are out of their sex…

We've progressed far enough as a society/culture that not everything has/needs an evolutionary benefit. The explanation is that women enjoy sex just like men. Women use birth control and have sex knowing they won't get pregnant(or at least, intending not to get pregnant), which doesn't have any benefit either. Evolutionary tendencies still exist, but don't completely dominate our actions/choices.
/r/seduction17/01/15 09:18 PM

I think progression is a part of it. Start small and work your way up. For approach anxiety, you might start by just asking people for the time. Then ask for the time, then ask how their day is going. Each step is slightly more uncomfortable, but is a lot more manageable than just jumping into the deep end.

I understand being angry about him calling gay guys silly, but as a straight guy that also has a lot of gay friends, he is absolutely right about the lack of "alpha bullshit". It's not that gay guys don't compete with other men, but more that gay guys and straight guys generally aren't competing with each other, at least in a mating sense(obviously). There is absolutely an underlying competition between straight men that permeates all interactions, even between friends, even when women aren't ar…

I strongly dislike him too but maybe there's an unfortunate lesson there, because look where it got him.

As others have mentioned, you need to take baby steps. I can understand where you are coming from, where you feel like you are so far behind so you want to "catch up" as soon as you can, so everything feels rushed, you feel insanely pressured, and end up completely psyching yourself out. You need to take your focus off trying to lose your virginity and start with just being more social. You have massive anxiety partly because every girl you are given the chance to talk to, you immediately start …

Fair enough, however that's a risk that will always be there when you are sleeping with people you aren't in a monogamous relationship with. Using protection is about the best you can do aside from abstinence. Plus, if you read his other replies in here, its pretty clear that's not what hes worried about.

Usually "don't talk about" means "don't bring up". If someone brings up one of those subjects, you can discuss them, but you should avoid bringing them up because generally(emphasis on generally), they cause arguments and are divisive, when there are a million other subjects to talk about.

Why do you care, if you're not attached? What difference does it make if the other person "leaves"? Assuming you're already using protection, etc., it shouldn't matter. If it's a big deal to you, then yeah just bail I guess, it's unfair to ask her to end things with the other dude. Be honest with yourself about whether or not you might be attached though. If you're not attached and its strictly a FWB situation, I don't know why you would throw it away because she's banging other dudes.

What am I making up? how is that rape? stop throwing labels at shit because its your view of it. it wasnt rape. but he doesnt say she wasnt consenting...which is the definition of rape I'm not sure how you define rape, but dictionary.com defines it as "any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person." You gonna tell me what he describes doesn't fit that definition? Or is the dictionary just throwing labels at shit because its their view of it?

He said he didn't think she wanted to have sex, threw her onto the bed and forced himself onto her. I don't think its a stretch to consider that rape.

Also, I feel like people are hating on this article without reading it and just assume its baseless and taking stuff out of context. They link a video where he essentially says he raped a girl. I'm was never a huge fan of RSD but thought Owen had some insightful videos, you can't really defend that though.
/r/seduction13/11/14 07:43 AM

Did you read the article and watch the videos? Even though I disagree with a lot of RSD stuff, I can usually see where they are coming from and can appreciate that they seem to have helped a lot of dudes. That being said, he basically said he raped a girl in one of the videos linked. I think you could defend a lot of the other stuff they are attacking him for in that article, but you can't really get around that.

Maybe wanna expand on the girls you're seeing, and why you wouldn't want to pursue anything further with one of them? Unless they don't want to, but you said they're really into you. Might be weird to ask you this about yourself but do you think you're socially awkward? You mention your lack of a social life but didn't see if you mentioned if you can carry on a conversation etc. Seems like you are doing a lot of the stuff I would have suggested, meetup groups, rec leagues(which I'm assuming your…

I wouldn't. Not that it's super terrible but it will probably come off as really forced. Maybe just say it's your birthday and you're having a good time, then just talk to her like a normal person.

I've had this happen to me. Got a girl's number pretty quickly at a bar(talked to her for 5-10 min tops before I had to leave) so like others are mentioning, she might have felt a bit unsafe meeting with someone she barely knew. Soon after we met up, she said her gay roommate was coming to "crash the date". She implied he was doing it without her asking(to check on her/protect her, etc), which I doubted, but yeah. I kinda sighed in my head but when he showed up I was just nice to him, BSed with …

Whether you will admit it or not, its pretty clear what your motive in rejecting her was given that you posted this here and asked if you "played it right". If she asked you out and you turned her down because you weren't interested, you would know it was the right move, and wouldn't have needed to post it here.
/r/seduction31/10/14 01:14 AM

That shouldn't be your motivation but its completely normal to feel that following a breakup. Just be aware of it and it will fade with time. Continue to improve yourself, and in time you will be doing it for your own sake and not for hers.

You've heard it 4 million times but it's obvious you aren't actually listening to it. Girls have some weird sixth sense where they can read that shit better than you know, and no decent girl is gonna wanna hang around someone who acts like you are coming off in your posts. Stop blaming your lack of a social circle on your failures. You write off everything(daygame, online) because its "not the same as trying from social circles". Honestly man, you're kinda just trying to take value here. Interrupting him while hes working, trying to get his phone number(ask yourself if you would try to do that with any other dude you just met). Whether or not you're "chodes", think about how many regular dudes come up to those guys all the time when they're out and do exactly what you did. Probably happens multiple times every night. That you would come on here to bitch about this encounter, thinking you were in the right, and saying it …

he's rich While I think this is a huge boon in that it allows him to travel wherever and basically do what he wants in regards to meeting women, I don't think he really flaunts it at all with girls, so I'm not sure if it helps him in that regard. he seems pretty outgoing Isn't that part of having game? cult like following which would fall in the category of social status (another trait women find attractive) Again, only really seen his videos but I'm not sure how he could use that to his advanta…

I definitely think that looks matter, but do you think RSDTyler is good looking? I think part of why I appreciate his stuff(never paid for anything, just videos I've seen, etc.) is that the dude is average looking at best(probably below that when he was heavier and had sloppy long hair). Not to rag on him, but hes short, chubby, balding and ginger, pretty much all traits considered unattractive(generally). Always kinda thought he was a good example of how far this stuff could get someone in spit…

Man, no offense but talk about armchair psychology. You took literally 2-3 sentences in his post and built an entire narrative around it. I read some of your other posts where you are giving off a similar vibe. Everyone feels depressed or anxious sometimes, especially when dealing with dating/sex/relationships. You're spinning that into this girl having deep-seated issues where she craves validation and tries to get it by sleeping around. After years of experience dealing with myself and dealing…

It's a bad move man. Anyone that would work with, it would probably work just as well to say straight up "I make a lot of money, here look, heres my number". Its not like writing your number on a large bill is really suave or cool, it just screams insecurity. As someone else mentioned, if you did it confidently in a way that wasn't needy, it wouldn't need to be a $100 bill. Not to mention, lol at the fact of that guy spending $100 on every approach that he does.

I always feel like im creepy doing it I dont feel like its accepted on their side If you feel it's creepy, so will she, and it will be creepy. Getting out of that mindset takes time and experience, it isn't something you can get from watching a video or reading something on a forum. Don't forget this dude has been doing this for 10+ years, and has more experience with it than just about anyone.

Overthinking aside, how often are you actually thinking about what is going on in the present moment? Most people don't. You are usually thinking about the future, which leads to anxiety/fear("I'm so busy tomorrow", "Will I have enough money to pay rent?", "Will this girl like me?"), or the past, which leads to regret/depression("I should have said something to her", "I shouldn't have said that to her, how embarrassing", etc.). If you are focused on the present, there isn't really much to be fea…

I do understand mindfulness. some fucking meditative hooplah being constantly fixated on being "present" or "in the moment" You either don't understand mindfulness, or you're intentionally making a straw man against it. I don't think many would argue that constantly obsessing over your "state" can be detrimental, but that's just not what mindfulness is. You come off like you gave it some half-assed attempt and are now railing against it because it didn't give you the results you were promised.

My pops is dating a 38yo lady at 65. He lives in Mexico off his social security and said he likes dating this girl because she actually goes halfsies on dates(hes cheap/broke, nowhere near rich, even in Mexico). Hes pretty tall(probably 6'2-6'3) and is on TRT and stays fit, so he might look ~5-10yrs younger than he actually is, but its not like hes crazy good looking. Dudes have it really good w.r.t. aging, can ball out well into old age while women unfortunately tend to have a bit of a shelf li…

Seddit always encouraged people to build an interesting life for yourself that you can be proud of. For a long time, it’s all I’ve worked on. I’m currently 22 and attending college. I play guitar and I do tons of martial arts (aikido, jiujitsu, taekwondo, weapons-training). I regularly stay active by going to the gym, beach and hiking. Are you even into this stuff? The seddit answer should be that you shouldn't worry about it, age is just a number etc. but I'll give you my hopefully reassuring take anyways. I had similar feelings at 25-26 this past year after getting out of college. A lot of my friends were a few years younger, and after graduating I was faced with the sobering reality of "entering the real world", with my care-free college days(my prime) behind me. Then I got a job in a big city and had to move and start over. Made some new friends, inclu…

Let me start by saying I am a straight guy with a lot of gay friends. I happened to befriend a few gay dudes when I moved to a new city about 6mos ago and now my entire circle of friends here are gay men(I moved to a very gay city and hang around what might be the gayest neighborhood in the U.S.), so I think I can provide more insight than most. This post kinda hits home and based on what you've written, I identify a lot with your friend 'D'. Unfortunately, its not because I am curious and don't…

What about his post came off as creepy, or that he doesn't "view others as real people"? Sounds like a guy who met a girl he likes and is asking for advice on how to move forward. Kinda sounds like you're butthurt because OP is out there making efforts to meet girls, and you're sitting at home playing everquest and trolling internet forums.

Really depends on the circumstances of the relationship and the break-up but I would think your best bet is to forget about her(or at least make it look that way) and go out and have a good time without her, spend time with other girls, etc. Any effort you put directly towards trying to get back together will probably backfire.

it's honestly getting annoying. It's very obvious that this girl was shit testing me. It's pretty fucking frustrating too. Then why are you trying to justify yourself to the people here? Why are you here reading a forum about getting better at meeting women, if you are truly happy with your situation regarding that? I guess you promote being super aggressive and that's just not my style. Saying hi to a girl on the street/in a club/wherever is not "super aggressive", its not even aggressive. It's just being confident. There doesn't have to be anything aggressive about it and I think it says a lot that you would call …

No, you're saying there's something wrong with me being shy in a confident way. What does "being shy in a confident way" even mean? You're basically saying "Well I actually am confident, but I'm shy so I don't want to go out and try to meet girls". What other option do you have? Wait for a girl to basically fall in your lap? To answer your question, yes, there is something wrong with you being "shy in a confident way". What wrong with it is that, whether you are actually confident or not, you wo…

I'd just like to see people like me and OP recognized. Seriously? You think people that don't like to go to clubs and are afraid of cold approaches and rejection aren't recognized by this community? Because it seems to me that the entire community is built around recognizing those people, and trying to help them. You can say that you're confident but honestly it doesn't sound like you are. You don't have to go out to clubs to find girls, and you don't have to be an extrovert to do cold approache…
