Are you suggesting that people learn an entirely new language, make far less money than they would in the west, live in a country with restricted internet access and a communist economy, and breathe smog all day long just to have access to marginally more attractive women?

I doubt the US will ever be in a traditional armed conflict ever again, which is why I disagree with this entire premise. The only threat any country can ever pose against us is the threat of nuclear weapons. Even then, they need a lot of nukes for there to be a reasonable chance that one of their missles makes it past our defense systems and successfully detonates on US soil. Outside of that, there is no threatening the US. The amount of unmanned firepower we have is absolutely insane. We likel…

12 years of hard work and diet might put you in the top 5% of guys who lift regularly, but compared to the general population that person you described is very likely in the top .1% of people in terms of fitness. I agree with the original commenter that after a year of very hard work and a great diet someone could easily achieve being in the top 5-10% of the general population if they start from a position that is even remotely healthy. Maybe it would take someone starting as obese a bit longer …

TRP's mission is to discuss men's identity, sexual strategy, and options in the context of our current global culture for the benefit of men. This sub isn't all about PUA anymore; read the current top sticky.

Men who ignore their emotions tend to end up as addicts of some kind or another. This is good advice regardless of whether you think it's feminine or not. Then again, I think having absolute control and understanding of ones being, including emotions, is pretty fucking masculine. You don't control emotions by stuffing them: you control them by letting them in, letting them be, and letting them go. This reduces your attachment and vulnerability to them and builds psychological discipline and awar…

That definitely wasn't true for me. I'm not saying it's not the most common way for someone to actually accept and swallow the red pill, but I came to it not out of massive suffering that forced me to reconsider my worldview, but simply out of curiosity. My brother mentioned it to me in a conversation we were having about women and so I checked it out. My relationships with women before then weren't amazing and I never was and still am not Chad, (although I feel I'm just around the corner from t…

This whole subreddit is an übermensch training society.

I assume that you're studying a social science. If this is the case, this survey of yours is evidence to the assertion of Jordan Peterson that the social sciences are going to absolute shit. This survey was very poorly constructed. This question for example: Paternity tests should be mandatory Mandatory for what? Like this question, no background was given on most of the questions and they seemed to be written quickly and haphazardly with very little thought. There were rampant spelling and punc…

Commenting on your fuckup on the third date: I'm not sure if other people would advocate outright lying or deflecting the question, but if you wanted to go down the honest route you could have just said you hadn't yet met any girls you were particularly interested in and you have been focused on other shit for a long time. While that would probably still be fudging the truth, it subtextually communicates three things: She's different than other girls you've met (attention and validation being th…

The one thing I can think of is for you to look for religious women. If a traditional family is what you want, look for a traditional woman. Organized religion is the last major bastion of that. I personally know that Catholic women are generally a good balance of wholesomeness but not going so far to be the stereotypical evangelical religious zealout/fundie. If you're religious, just go to church and try to meet people. If not, figure out what religion will be least repulsive to you and look fo…

You edited that you feel your question has been answered. I want to add that I have found it helpful to root my purpose in my own biology. Values are, in the end, extensions of the transcendant "value" of DNA. Life is a self-replicating pattern. It recreates and grows itself at all cost. Thinking along those lines, it has been helpful to me in creating my post-nihilistic values to look deeply at myself and see the "DNA" of my being. What parts of my personality have existed since childhood? What…

I completely agree. That's why I wrote about my feelings after fucking that girl: my sex drive had been partially driving me and clouding my valuations of myself for so long because I had no access to women and was needy. After the need was fulfilled, it became apparent how trivial of a need it really was.

I tried cold showers and nofap for a bit, but at the time I decided I needed at least a little bit of comfort and pleasure in my life to keep myself from burning out. I used them as rewards for myself after working out or finishing a school paper or something. Now that I'm in a place of greater discipline and strength I'm beginning to try both those things again.

There is a very small chance they will help you. I can imagine someone bogged down by their own stupid perspective that takes a psychedelic, is struck by how insignificant and temporary all their problems are, and then works to make their life better having gotten a glimpse of the world without the self. But you're already nihilistic. You know everything is subjective and all values have to come from within. You just haven't made any values because you're depressed. If your state of mind is simi…

It's stories like these that really make me question the honesty of a lot of the submissions to this subreddit...

Finding something you really care about and pursue passionately will help massively with your anxiety and depression, too. Good luck, and good work trying to better yourself.
