Just how bad is the dating scene in North America these days? I don't know because I have been living in China for the last few years.

From what I read, the girls are either a) hot and vapid or b) fat and self-entitled.

If you have an aversion to Asian girls - almond eyes, straight black hair and such - then you can next me and move on to another post.

I want to discuss two things: 1) the advantages of Chinese girls and 2) how to get here and find them

The average BMI of Chinese girls is about 3 points lower than American girls. They just don't "do fat" here. While you can find party girls in HK or SH, generally they take relationships seriously. In any first or second tier city they will be college educated. Outside of the cities, or if you go to the north-west part of the country then it is all farmgirls who are not stupid, but just don't have the education. As a for-instance, girls from Inner Mongolia tend to be tall, slim and shockingly gorgeous. In the cities, even the earners want a traditional man to take care of them. They are not submissive per se, in their day to day, but IME they are wonderfully submissive once you have them in bed.

To get here, you have a few pathways. If you are Canadian you can get a 10-year tourist visa that is good for 60 days at a shot. If you are looking to work here, then there are a couple of options. Most will come as ESL teachers.

Any guy, fresh out of college can find a CELTA course (about $2K and one month) and then you go to a place like eChinaCities to find a gig. If you can teach STEM or economics, and in particular if you did your B.Ed. then there are many more opportunities. If you have your MBA then you can be teaching business students for a decent salary, not as much as one could make on Wall Street but decent and you are living in China.

Teaching is the go-to job to get overseas, but if you work for a large company then you can pester them - and their HR department - to post you overseas. That is the best of both worlds because you get a first world income but a third world cost of living.

If you can learn the language (which is no mean feat) then the world is your oyster. If you only speak English then you have to stick to the first tier cities and can find girls online though OKC and such. When I lived in Changzhou - an hour out of Shanghai - I could line up between 2 and 4 dates for the weekend

Anyways, I present this as an option.
