I agree with that last statement especially. The first couple weeks with a new girl are always fun, but it always turns at some point. Recently, I had a girl suggest not hooking up because her head was not in the "right place". She went to therapy and got on Prozac that same week, even suggesting it wouldn't affect us. Red flags all over. I wish her all the best and whatnot, but it shouldn't be my job to inherit those issues.

I sorta disagree with the premise of this post. It almost suggests that it is my duty to be the driving force that the success of the relationship is dependent upon. We should want to get better and improve ourselves for us - not for a female. Furthermore, it is not my job to handle a female with mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression - women should be accountable for their own mental well-being. Is that too much to ask? The ideal LTR is one of mutual support where both parties prov…

In short, you need to try your absolute best, but also not give a fuck. This is most true at work. You spend hundreds of hours working, so obviously it's something you're heavily invested in and care deeply about. However, corporate America is cuthroat, ruthless, and unfair, so thats one of the ways people get worn down and depressed with careers so quickly. You need to give a fuck, without giving a fuck.

Sounds like my ex dude. All sorts of emotional abuse, gaslighting, manipulation, jealousy, clinginess, suicidal tendencies, insane expectations, and eventually, physical abuse. Trying to understand it will drive you crazy. Simply avoid woman with BPD or mental health issues moving forward. good miss.

I was in an actual abusive relationship. Emotional abuse, gaslighting, manipulation, and a LTR using mental health issues as a means to justify erratic behavior. The worst part? I let her mental health issues justify me being okay with that treatment. She eventually threw a punch and she was moved out a week later. Good time to swallow TRP.

They don't want solutions or reassurances man. They just want to watch the world burn.

Just have no expectations bro. If you smash, awesome. If you don't, whatever. If you start thinking or analyzing or feeling like you need sexual validation for your confidence, stop thinking.

It never gets better. My ex-gf punched me in my face 3 weeks after getting a puppy together. We shared an apartment and a future together. We both cared deeply. This wasn't the first time a wild and scary fight had occurred. I took her back, we went to therapy, we discussed changes and kept bickering. Then she punched me. If I fold to her begging me back and promising change, it will happen again. It's easy to maintain the status quo in a bad relationship. It's hard to follow through on a breaku…

The gym really can demonstrate the benefits associated with hard-work and dedication. Everybody wants to be strong and fit, but most don't have the discipline to train consistently. Once you are disciplined enough to go consistently, the first thing you notice is that results actually will happen, and your body/mind feel great with exercise. Once fitness becomes a part of your life, you're motivated to always improve, or at the least maintain that hard work, because it can be erased very quickly…

If you don't quit, you can't lose. If you're struggling, you're growing. If you want it, you can have it - the only question is, how badly do you really want it?

Great post, especially about the part pertaining to persistency/rejection. If you succeed 3/10 times, you're not only batting .300, but you're also more desensitized to rejection. Rejection is not failure - it's simply a byproduct of trying.

To me, the differentiator is simply staying disciplined, rather than relying on motivation. We all have days we're tired, over it, and just want to bail and enjoy the additional 2 hours at home. What i've noticed is, if you get your tired ass to the lab and start changing into workout clothes/start warming-up, you'll typically get in the zone and grind through a lift. Pre-workout or edibles can help too.

I have plenty of savings to cover even over a year without income, although I'd obviously like to protect the nest egg. Uncertainty is probably less daunting then not having income/burning 4k a month... Appreciate the insight though. It's easy to day dream about, hard to pull the trigger on.

Have you ever done something like that?

This hits home. I'm currently in a sales role that, while it pays well, has impeded my professional growth and resulted in numerous frustrations. The income keeps me here and likely mitigates any real sense of urgency to find a new job. With ample savings, albiet living in an expensive city, the wise move is to find a new role while in the current role. For the sake of my sanity and limited time on earth, I'd really like to quit and maybe travel before a new role. The challenge is, what's a bold…

The jealousy is always hard to overcome or retrain. I think downplaying and not getting fired up is the right approach. As a man, we are told we need to accept female's emotional outbursts or freakouts, and need to be submissive and obedient when they cannot control emotions. I categorically reject this notion, which always creates conflict.

Scenario: LTR, girl judging number of previous partners and auditing social media. What's the response here? It's so difficult to not care and show indifference while being judged...

It's simply an additional prospecting source...helps build up that pipeline even when you're pooping. It works too - banged plenty of crazy broads from that app. Definitely a high volume/no-expectations dependent approach though.

At what point does pride and ego become a negative character attribute? You handled it well, but I'd argue this isn't enough disrespect to end it.

This is great stuff. Really makes me want to quit my stable, well-paying but boring job and mix it up. Not sure i appreciated the knock on Fortnite, but I understand the purpose behind it.
