True. Rome wasn't built in a day and a man isn't either. One step at a time, one constructive piece of criticism at a time is how to build a person. A concrete piece of advice that actually strengthens a person and makes them feel better is vastly more beneficial than vague platitudes that ultimately create nothing. As men it is our job to work together to conquer the world we were born into

I grew up in a Christian home that was definitely blue collar and what you say definitely plays out. The disposition towards moral values and playing out towards college and finding blue collar work is extremely true. The status quo has to be maintained and it won't be affected by any change in each person, only the individual has no say. Ideology reigns supreme. The problem with this is that no new thought gets through, the stale thoughts and concepts that have been going through people's heads…

I'm still at level 2 but sometimes I see level three. In the dating scene this plays out where I go on a date, have fun do all the work to swat shit tests and seem impressive and then the date wraps up and its the end of the night and none of it matters anymore, to either of us, and thats when we fuck. What I see as the key is that you have to spend time making stuff matter before it doesn't matter anymore. You can't give up halfway through the gauntlet, you have to get all the way through to ea…

I was having fun stringing him along, wanted to see how far I could take it. Pretty bitchy I know, but hey, it was fun and felt like a learning experience so whatever. That said, I think the real take away here is that as fun as manipulating people is it makes me no better than any other basic bitch and a focus on self improvement will be more fulfilling in the long run

I think op means to have self talk where you emphasize that you're awesome so that when the shit test comes you're less likely to bend or break. You have to believe in yourself before you can start being awesome.

I definitely used to be at this shit level of social interaction. I won't say that I'm always the life of the party now, but perspective and desensitization has certainly made me a whole lot better, if I could make the transformation I did then anyone can.

This rings so true, especially the part about how reading TRP is just another mental masturbation, that's something I've only just noticed to be extremely true, you really don't need to spend that much time here, and I definitely want to live the life, not just read it.

This is so true. Honestly that article just seemed ridiculous when reading it. Half the stuff barely makes sense. Plug in your kid's phones? There are outlets everywhere and as a college student I can confirm that the younger generations are definitely obsessed with their phones anyways. Amble half naked to a crisp newspaper? Sheer confusion robbed me of words on that one.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
