I thought her Comedy Central show was satirizing the modern woman as well... But maybe not?

When I'm with my SO, I feel safe&protected so it is easy for me to let my guard down and be playful/naive. But I would not necessarily act like this out of the presence of my SO. For example, at my job I need to be efficient, self-driven, and independent. I could care less if my fellow workers see me as "feminine enough" - my SO's opinion is what matters to me.

My #5 of "act feminine" was meant to exclude nasty personality traits, but yes morals/character is definitely important in any sort of relationship.

Yes, but it makes me more appreciative of my female friends with RPW tendencies. Also it has helped me cut toxic friends out of my life permanently.

I can only speak from the perspective of my relationship, but here it goes... My SO has limited time, since he is very busy with work and his manly hobbies. In his free time, he usually either spends it with me, his guy friends, or by himself. So in this regard, my SO's time is very valuable to him, and he spends it accordingly. I understand when he is out at the bar with his guy friends, he might serve as their wingman and end up talking with chicks. This does not bother me because his "time" i…

Well my class's average age at the start of pharmacy school was like 23 years old so I guess I have a pretty young class. We had a handful of older married people in the beginning. Our class is two thirds women (many single at some point) so maybe the increase attention from women in our class played a role. Not entirely sure..

As a fellow pharm student, I've noticed an interesting phenomenon among the younger (22-27yo) men in my class... Most dumped their LTR while in pharmacy school (their SMV increased disproportionally to their SO's). Sounds like you might have been dating after that point tho - either way the answer is No, you should not forgive him. He played you once he will play you again. On the bright side you can consider yourself lucky that this happened at 9months instead of 2+years or something? Cut your …

Haha I guess my argument was that there's less distractions in the winter (less fun things to do) so it is easier to make time to go to the gym. Also delayed gratification in the sense that people want to put time in at the gym in the winter so they look good in the summer and can do fun stuff instead of going to the gym when the weather is nice. But yeah maybe he does hold the popular opinion :) We both agreed this morning it was the silliest of debates lol

My BF does dread game a lot ( I don't think he purposefully does it, it's just kind of built-in to his personality). At first it made me feel hurt. But then I realized that I trusted him, so i no longer felt hurt. I wouldn't say I feel threatened now because I am in kickass shape. When I wasn't in so good shape, it really got to me, and surprise! It motivated me to get into kickass shape. And now I think it's reverse dread game because now my BF has increased the amount time he spends at the gym…

My dad gave me advice on dating once, he told me: "never meet a guy at a bar, they've only got one thing on their mind" I met my current SO at the bar (on a Tuesday!) and we've been happily together for almost 2 yrs plus both my parents love him :) although I will admit my SO probably did have "only one thing on his mind" when he first met me. He was quite charming and invited me back to his place but I politely declined and called a cab. We went on a date about a week later where he paid for di…

In addition to all the advice here about staying physically young, I believe having a youthful emotional state (ex: not bitter, mean, jealous) can also help.

I'm struggling with making a major life decision right now. I'm graduating in May, so I'll need to get a job soon. Right now my options seem to be a great, enjoyable job far (~2hrs) from my SO (but near my family) or a really really crappy (albeit well-paying) job in the same city as my SO. I've been LTR with my SO for the better part of a year and it's been OKAY... But I don't want to be away forever. A few of my friends have had success on match.com - I think since it is a paid service, you will have more luck if "young professional" is your type. One had previously tried OkCupid with nothing but a bunch of bad dates to show for it. OkCupid seems to attract the students and "nerdy" computer type guys (in my area, at least). IMO the paid service sort of weeds out the younger (immature) guys and the guys without a good, stable job. Plus, there won't be as many women for them to sort thru to fi…

I agree with many of the comments here. Responding in a "playful" manner is by far the best response. Even if you are jealous, don't let it show (in a negative light at least). For example, my SO attracts some female attention from time to time when I am out with him. We go to more "young professional/professional bars" so there aren't exactly a bunch of young, blonde college chicks running around (which is what I am...) so when these girls give him attention I keep my cool (by remembering my go…

I am posting this article because I believe the article resonates some RP ideas, and I think it's a good starting point for a discussion of balancing our spouse and our children. I am neither married nor a mother (someday I will be, hopefully!), so I don't have personal experience, but if some of you could share your experiences that would be great!

Honestly, I believe that being "innocently feminine" in nature (innocent, sweet, kind, respectful, optimistic) portrays a "relationship" vibe. I mean, how many "sluts" or "gold-diggers" do you see who give off a "innocently feminine" vibe on a regular basis? Yeah they could "fake it until they make it" but hopefully by now your human interactions can help you weed out the non-genuine people you meet.

Congrats on the weight loss! First off, I would recommend focusing on raising your SMV if the men you are currently attracting are not attractive to you. You are still young so your body will be very receptive to fitness/dietary changes. Second of all, increase the amount of time spent going to public places (by yourself or with friends). Random encounters do happen ... But staying at home won't help.

I strive to be feminine, and I embrace my feminine qualities. Anger is not feminine, and anger does nothing except make me miserable. You're not going to fix this in 1 day. Think baby steps. Honestly reading up on Buddhism has improved my perspective on life and how to be more resilient in stressful situations. I don't identify as a Buddhist by any means, but I find many teachings to be helpful.

Wow thanks for the insightful response! I enjoyed reading it and agree with everything you said. You are much better at getting your point across/ verbalizing ideas than I am! When I was dating, I was actively looking for a LTR. So yeah I went on dates with a few guys but never escalated past a 3rd date if a relationship didn't develop (no sex, just dates in public places). So it makes sense to keep your options open until you find a guy that 1. You are attracted to/know you want to date and 2. This guy is willing to commit to you. A guy who is on his 1st or 2nd date with you is not gonna care if you went on your 1st or 2nd date with a guy a few days ago. Are you supp…

Obesity is just one way a person's"lack of control" can manifest. They cannot control their caloric intake to match their caloric use. There are other facets of control and self-discipline that can also manifest in non-obese people. For example, lack of control over delayed gratification. Aka being lazy. People play video games compulsively instead of being productive because video games make me happy NOW and they don't want to be productive even tho they know it needs to be done. This can manif…

When I start feeling myself getting wound up I take a mental break and think about a few things: Can I change the outcome of the situation? (usually the answer is no) For example: We are running late, we are going to be late, I cannot change this fact. Or I wore the wrong thing to an event. There is no point in worrying over something I cannot change. Worrying will only have negative effects. The best possible outcome will be for me to not worry. For example: shoot I didn't realize all the women…

Well I lift weights twice a week in hopes of toning up my arms/shoulders/back but it's not the focus of all my workouts. Cardio and core strengthening are always in my workouts. I agree it doesn't "magically" happen that way but the inches are fewer and the weight is the same so it was meant to be a generalized statement.

Well you know the old saying: why buy the cow if the milk is free? I think you should end it with him but be honest and rational about it when you do. Try not to get emotional - he will respect that and it will set you apart from his other plates. Do not expect him to want anything more than a plate. If he does, then great, but either way focus on improving yourself as a woman and the rest will follow.

I was incredibly shy around men my first few years of college. Then I did a few things that boosted my confidence which included : becoming more feminine, getting fit, dressing better, being more overall productive. My boost in confidence and overall improved self led to more attraction from men. All the attraction was nice... But it just didn't give me them tingles. Then I met him. How about a Doctor of Pharmacy? Rated one of the best professions for women for several reasons: Part-time pharmacists are very common (some places give full benefits at 20hrs/week) especially in community pharmacy Staff pharmacists rarely work more than 40hrs/week Hospital pharmacists come into contact with many young/student male healthcare professionals Residencies are optional, possible to earn your degree in 6 years Worth a thought? Just a common theme I've noticed across Western society (more so, but not exclusive to, women) is that when they feel inferior to someone, they either (1) talk shit about said person, (2) rationalize that the other person isn't really superior ("she has OCD that's why her house is so clean"), or (3) rationalize that their image is the superior image (see: fat acceptance). any rational person would assess if the ways that they are inferior are important to them, and if so, make a change to improv…

Growing up, I was definitely in the ugly/average-looking group (think tomboy and chubby). Then, a year or two into college, I slowly started making changed that impacted my appearance as well as my self confidence. Working out, eating right, growing my hair out, figuring out what products make my hair look good (that took me like 21 years lol), and buying more feminine clothes. It comes as no surprise to me that the nastiest, most-controlling women bosses I've run across all have one-thing in common: they are not in a relationship with a RP man. Their lack of being fulfilled in their personal life is projected onto their work life, where there treat their "competition" with contempt, because she is in full hypergamy mode due to her relationship (or lack of one). You personal opinion of yourself is unhealthy and will only impair your ability to meet a quality guy. Start learning new things and making new friends, improve your health, and if you don't think that will do enough to change anything, there are many therapists that deal with this stuff all the time. Many, many women have unhealthy self-esteem issues. So what if you are "odd-looking"! There are many things you can do to either change that or accept it and make the best of it!

I have found that the "wake-up call" approach is only successful if a person is genuinely interested in changing. For others stuck in their ways, I have found that living my own happy life (sort of like a role model) makes them begin to question themselves why they are so unhappy, and I can drop knowledge into convos without causing alarm. Which after that begins to take hold - maybe a wake-up call is appropriate. Then again, this observation is based only on my personal anecdotes.

I see it as they hate that these feminine women that are "setting the bar too high" Being feminine and looking great all the time takes a lot of work and motivation, and is not for the lazy. My mom is my hero, especially in terms of RPW. My mom grew up on a dairy farm, so "entitlement" probably wasn't even in her vocabulary. My gma and gpa were very strict in terms of chores, cooking, working, school, etc and my mom carried these values with her to her marriage. We were lower middle-class and even though my mom had more education than my dad and made a higher wage, she chose to only work part time (3 days a week) so she could also be a homemaker and take care of the house, me, and m…

Somewhere along the lines... We forget that the majority of people judge other people based on their character - not their gender. So yeah if you walk around shtting on everyone and acting like an entitled btch, people are going to hate you. The problem is that some people (bluepillers) will continue to let you walk all over them and you will never learn the consequences of your actions and never be given a reason to change your ways... /end rant. I was talking about this idea with my SO a few months ago. I told him that I thought "married couples should have separate bank accounts for their own personal spendings and a shared bank account for bills, services, emergencies, etc." He told me that he was very much against this idea and that there should only be one bank account for a married couple. Over the past few months, I now understand the importance of submitting financially to a husband that is trustworthy and intelligent. Husbands w…

I posted this article because I think it does a good job of explaining to younger women, who are maybe interested in RPW viewpoints, why it is important to: not confuse sexual value with relationship value - it is far easier to have sex with a "hotter" guy than it is to get him to commit. seriously consider what is more important to YOU - marriage or a career. You should not be criticized or threatened for pursuing your own happiness (I'm looking at you, fem-nazis). I understand that these may b…

I can see how this approach would work with a girl who thinks they are hot shit and have been out on a pedestal their whole life. But would this approach work for a girl that is self conscious, a "late bloomer", or maybe shy compared to her other friends when interacting with guys?

I used to be a "feminist". I even cut my hair short (worst mistake ever) and was lazy (gained a few pounds). This was after a pretty bad break-up so around ages 19-21. It also didn't help that I live on an incredibly liberal campus. I was rejecting my feminine side, but to be fair, I was a late bloomer. During this time, I was also depressed. I couldn't understand why guys wouldn't just accept me "the way I am". Then I grew my hair out, started working out, starting realizing the value in paying…

We are talking about equality in terms of biological (usually). First wave feminism is a lot different from the current feminist movement. Many could argue that the current feminist movement has moved past the point of equality and is trying to position women in a superior position. Do I believe women should have the right to vote? Of course! Do I believe people should be paid in reference to their quantity and/or quality of work as opposed to race/gender/age? Most certainly. Do I believe that e…

Ever since swallowing the red pill, even hearing/reading the word "equality" makes me cringe. We as women should embrace the positive differences (aka be feminine!) while being mindful of the more "negative" things that makes us different as well (irrational, emotional) so that we can better ourselves and our relationships! Claiming everyone is "equal" just turns a blind eye to all the "positives" that work in our favor while simultaneously letting the "negatives" go unchecked. I feel that if so…

I have a question about female bonding. Is it just that it's harder for a girl to bond with a guy who is "less alpha" than a guy she's had in the past? Or is there just a biological explanation for bonding with the guy you lose you virginity to? I view it as, the more guys a girl has slept with, the higher chance that the girl has slept/bonded with someone more alpha than you, and her bond to you is lesser compared to if you are the "most alpha" guy she has been with. But if there is more to it …

I did this a lot more often when I was younger and unhappy with my life. I had burned a lot of friendships and was in a bout of depression. Is it any wonder that so many high-achieving young women, despite all the happy talk about their academic success, find themselves in the early stages of their careers in chronic uncertainty or anxiety about their prospects for an emotionally fulfilled private life? When an educated culture routinely denigrates masculinity and manhood, then women will be perpetually stuck with boys, who have no incentive to mature or to honor their commitments. One of the strategies I have successfully used in the past was to keep on dating (not sleeping with!) other guys until commitment has been secured. This way, if he is truly interested in a relationship, he would be more apt to define the relationship as to not lose you to another guy. If he was merely in it for sex, he wouldn't be trying to win you over emotionally. Another benefit of this strategy is it keeps you from becoming emotionally attached too quickly, and the guy may feel inclined to b…

They usually say 25/26 (my bf is 28 and I'm 23) and then they scoff when I say I'm 23 and make jokes like "is it legal for you to be in this bar right now?" Etc. I think the point he was trying to make is that sex is very important to men. Even if women aren't in the mood, this can't go on forever. They should want to make their partner happy, even if they aren't in the "mood" for it. Obviously this does not apply to every situation, but a woman's constant rejection in the bedroom is not healthy for the relationship. Women want emotional validation and men want sexual validation. And no, this is nothing like rape. This is about being in a functional rela…

I'm an advocate for understanding the principles behind different schools of thought, generally it helps me reaffirm that I'm making an educated choice. Being exposed to only one thing (religion, political party, etc.) is dangerous and causes an army of misinformed (ignorant) information. This can be seen throughout history (look at North Korea). Unfortunately, this usually takes trial and error for a young girl to learn, especially if she hasn't had the opportunity to observe close friends go through this dilemma . The more knowledgeable girls are on this topic, the better. Giving him sex isn't going to make him want to be in a relationship with you. Being able to fix everything yourself? Anyways, I guess it comes down to preferences. It doesn't bother me if his sexual history is extensive (he's clean so that…

I let him call/text me first to set up dates. When he did ask me out, I said yes (not too eagerly, but a simple 'yes' rather than giving him the run-around can speak volumes that you are interested while not coming off as desperate) I didn't have sex with him the first few times he tried to initiate. It was pretty clear we were going to have awesome sexual chemistry when we did eventually hook up. I honestly just can't sleep with a guy without getting to know him more first. So self-control and …

Exactly. Until they experience it, then it changes them.

As a woman, my BF has fostered an environment where I feel the need to continue to improve (or maintain) my physical fitness, my looks, and my style. How does this not improve my life? I feel that feminists (or just non-TRPers) would complain and say that my boyfriend only likes me for my looks and he is objectifying me. this is false. He likes me for my combined looks, personality, and intelligence. If I lost either of those, I can assure you I would be kicked to the curb pretty quickly. I want…

Can I ask where abouts you live? I find that social pressures and peer competition in big cities and college campuses kind of drive up the "attractiveness" of people in general. Smaller towns and cities have fewer social pressures and thus, less attractive people.

It almost seems that he was jealous of your BFs situation, that HE (your BF) could get the girl without giving up the shirt on his back for her, that she actually wants him for more than material things. Sounds like this cashier is in a deep denial of what a healthy relationship is.

I think you stated everything perfectly. But I probably won't be posting in TRP very often, I think I'll keep to lurking. Everyone thinks I am a troll when I provided insight to why I enjoy my relationship with a guy that has TRP mentality, as if a girl isn't supposed to enjoy this mentality.

That makes sense, I understand now.

The worst kind of guy is a "feminist" - one who wants blended gender roles in the relationship. Gender roles have existed for centuries, and in terms of relationships, they served a very important purpose. I wish more guys accepted r/theredpill mentality. You don't know how much shit I've dealt with in the past from beta guys who are just as guilty of "giving up" their male roles as girls are of "taking over" the relationship. I'm dating a guy with a r/theredpill mentality, and it's amazing. My …

Yeah, I fail to see your point? I'm dating a guy with a r/theredpill mentality, and it's a fucking breathe of fresh air. All my other relationships didn't work out and I couldn't understand why, but now I do. Gender roles matter. Once they start blending together shit gets fucked up. Girls shouldn't be in charge of the relationship, and a guy shouldn't let the girl take charge.

Because I want more people to accept the r/theredpill?

I understand the "I don't give a fuck" attitude completely, but to someone checking out the community to see what it is about, it's pretty off-putting. Just thought a main goal was to spread the word and maybe start a new era of thinking beyond our individual lives. ... Who am I kidding, this is fucking reddit.

"after she dumps him when she graduates" - you think she would be willing to move in with him if this was truly her "master plan"? If so, sounds like he's got a case of crazy-gf and there's no cure for that other than to dump her. I'm just surprised the majority of people in this community seem to think this "dump him when I graduate" is a common occurrence. I don't know of anyone in real-life where this is the case, other than a guy dumping his gf once he became a doctor.

Thank you. It seems like this community has been overrun with people making brash comments with no logical follow-up or meaningful discussion. No wonder people hate us. Maybe if we laid out our arguments logically, we could get more people on our side.

That's because usually guys aren't attracted to older, more financially stable women. They're attracted to young, college-aged women, so naturally, this scenario happens more often.

Relationships are different from friendships. They're been together for 3 years and are finally moving in together, sounds like they envision getting married at some point down the road. To me, the 200/600 split seems unfair, since this girl probably couldn't find ANYWHERE to live for $200, sounds like she has another source of income - loans. The problem with loans is, well, her money she is paying would actually be more than her BF's amount in the long run due to interest, so this creates an i…
