You have a point. She does have some hot friends, and right now it looks like with this girl in particular it's a dead end...which I am actually content about. She's pretty unsure of her life right now, still in a relationship, and it's pretty messy, and I really don't want to be caught in the middle of it. I think it's best to keep her as a friend, and if she wants to fuck, sure, let's fuck, but I don't want her drama.

She knows I want to stay out of her current relationship, and I don't want to be the cause of their relationship ending. For now we are friends, and if that's all we are, that's fine with me. There's something very important I left out of my post: she has a kid by this guy, and it scares me a bit. Never had a relationship with someone with a kid before, and I think he will be pissed when he finds out I am hanging out with the mother of his child, even as friends.

I don't want it to escalate too quickly. As I've said, I haven't been in a relationship in a very long time, and moving too fast is a recipe for failure, I believe. I'm not good at courtship, and my friend knows that. She will be there for support. For now it's just a get-to-know each other kind of thing. As for meeting number two, that could be a completely different story.

That's the direction I'm looking at. I'm thankful that my friend will be there with us. It'll ease the tension a bit, and she's always been good at starting conversation. After talking to her friend tonight for over three hours, I have a feeling this could be the beginning of something good. I'll do a FR on it Monday, if that's allowed here...I'm getting the vibe that I shouldn't have even posted this question in this subreddit for some reason. Thanks for the advice.
