I absolutely agree. The crazy thing is these people making less than $26k pay as high as negative 200% in taxes. So, effectively they have made more money than my wife and I combined ($47k). The more I make, the more I have to pay out of pocket it feels like. So frustrating.... And knowing that on average single fathers are less educated and yet make more in terms of median salary makes me think that it is harder on single fathers than on single mothers, financially.

Also moving is a rough option, cause price for same small apartment is actually $400 more per month. but if I was a single parent making less than $36k, I can get help towards my rent, for up to $500 per month. I fell like more I earned, more of a bind I was in and less I could stretch to meet ends. I feel like I am being punished for making more.
