I don’t think anyone should resort to physical violence. Not even on basis of “women are weaker it’s wrong to use that against them.” Getting physical does nothing for conflict resolution and it’s only purpose is to hurt the receiver. It’s unproductive and morally wrong imo

Cuddling is exclusively used for affection, whereas sex is done recreationally, out of horniness, to establish control/power dynamics, as a service (prostitution), solely for pregnancy, etc. It’s definitely not just a way of expressing affection in the way cuddling is.

We’re just using two different definitions of the word ig. Makes sense I see your point

The difference between an analogy and a comparison is that one is used to explain the other. One aspect of a box of chocolates is used to explain one aspect of life. You’re not using sex to describe cuddling, you’re comparing them and believe they’re similar. Comparison ≠ analogy
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 03:37 AM

That’s what I said. One aspect of a box of chocolates is used to explain one aspect of life. How is that what you’re doing here? You’re not using any part of sex to explain cuddling or vice versa, you’re saying they’re similar and I’m saying that they’re not.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 03:32 AM

That’s not what an analogy is. An analogy is the use of one scenario to describe or make sense of another. This is comparing and contrasting, and the fact is that sex and cuddling are way more different than they are similar

The thing is, even that blows up when considering that people are biologically driven to want sex: it’s a much more selfish act than cuddling (not innately bad, just selfish). Sex also isnt exclusive to romantic relationships, and isn’t always used to show affection; fuckbuddies, one-night standers, people who hate-fuck and rapists get theirs too lol. Loads of people want affection, but sex is unique in that it’s one of the only forms of affection that people are willing to pressure others into …

I don’t think they’re comparable in that their differences completely outweigh their similarities (so that it’s pointless to compare them).

Sex is way more intimate and invasive than cuddling. It’s only guaranteed to feel better than cuddling for dudes. Withholding sex for the purpose of controlling the relationship is wrong, but some people just aren’t horny and both parties would be better off ending the relationship than having sex where one party is unwilling and feels used
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 12:13 AM

Sex is not the same as cuddling. Not wanting to cuddle shouldn’t be seen as a red flag and it’s wrong that it is, but sex isn’t the same as cuddling at all. The two aren’t comparable.

It does say a lot about those women. That’s kind of point lol. Old men aren’t getting the good ones. I’m not saying you should care about the opinions of others, but generally speaking where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The whole dynamic is off putting (older guy taking advantage of younger woman for sex and/or younger woman using old guy for money) in that superficiality is the only thing holding it together. I think all men and women want sexual attention to a degree, but most older women don’…

No, it’s society at large. It gets frowned upon by everybody outside of the men who partake. Some bitter old women complain about it, but you see plenty of people outside that category showing distaste for it, and plenty of older women showing genuine concern over it. And yeah, some women are willing to compromise attraction for cash even if they’re grossed out by whoever they’re with. It doesn’t seem like a large number, but they exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 03:42 AM

I agree that men tend to age more gracefully than women and that men have more value in utility than women do. I just think you’re overstating the extent to which utility overrides attraction. The “chicks like bad boys” trope exists for a reason. They’re useless, but hot. As for being used, intent and return on investment matters. Most people are okay with being useful in their day to day lives because they get things in return for the time they put in from the people around them, and said peopl…

“Men are valued on production, not beauty. We get more valuable as we age as long as we are productive” Old men don’t get more valuable as they age. At best they remain at an equilibrium point by making more money while loosing attractiveness, but most people aren’t rich enough to do that
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 03:14 AM
1

I read your other comments on men being valued as providers and women for their youth. Women definitely care about looks and youth, which I mentioned. You said “every old man I know has pretty women to choose from” but I can almost guarantee they’re not doing the choosing because of what I said above
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 03:07 AM

Young pretty women date 4 years older not 40 years older lol. The ones who date old men either have severe daddy issues (crazy) or use the alpha fucks beta bucks strategy on old men willing to pay for their shit (greedy). If it happened to Hugh Hefner, it’ll definitely happen to an older man not nearly as rich or influential. Older men are definitely in their financial prime if they play their cards right, but they peak in their 20s biologically speaking (reproductively and in terms of attractiv…

That’s not nature, that’s compensatory. The same is true in reverse. I’m friends with girls from both camps. None are wired to submit or be dominant, it’s a means of letting out what they don’t allow through in their daily lives. That’s why radfems like being choked lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 12:48 PM
4

That’s not true. The only reason women submit in the past is because there were laws and social norms forcing them to. If it were really in their nature or wiring, they’d be submitting to men now as well (now that women have free will in the west), which they aren’t.

Talk about a prenup early on, and make sure you both get legal representation so the other person can’t pull the duress card if they choose to leave. Don’t believe all the “I thought you trusted me” “You’re going into this thinking you’ll leave me” crap. It’s manipulation. Anyone who actually cares about you doesn’t want access to half of your life savings in the event that you split.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 02:39 PM

This is exactly how you get divorce raped. If reproductive value is the only thing holding your relationship together, she’s leaving once she gets kids (and child support), or you’re cheating and she finds out, prompting her to leave. Only very rich men can get away with both because they have iron-clad prenups and/or enough status and stability to convince women to stay with a cheater. Mutual liking keeps people tg

It’s about “winning.” The men aren’t attractive, it’s the fact that they interact with many people on a day to day basis (many of whom are women). Teachers and service workers in particular do, and the competitive aspect heightens in college since there are definitely people in their age bracket these men interact with. These girls want to be noticed. If any of these men actually approached these women in real life, they’d get rejected. They don’t want the relationship or even a hookup, they wan…

My extended family on both sides (aunts, uncles and grandparents) are very traditional. Hands down, boys are valued more, doted on more, and given far more freedom than girls. In traditional family dynamics, fathers give sons tough love, and mothers are either strict or spoil them, but do so out of love. Girls are expected to cook for and clean up after their brothers regardless of age or age difference, and have always been seen as beneath boys in families. In traditional society, the role of w…

Men are more likely to go conservative after having daughters. Same holds true for boys with sisters. Seems counter-intuitive, but as someone with a dad who leans conservative I suspect it has to do with dads being protective of daughters (at least more than they are with their sons), and appreciating social conservatism more because of it.

Balance is key imo. Show respect, but don’t show emotional investment if that’s not what was agreed on. I do think that a meaner woman could use that to find fault in a guy that’s doing nothing wrong though (accusing someone of being too cold or too attached when in reality they’re neither one)

I disagree with the push for women to go to STEM because a lot of employers (I hear of this a lot in computer science and somewhat in engineering) make a point of hiring women for the sake of hiring women, and it's at the expense of men who are far more qualified than they are. I don't think this exists in the medical sector though. Plenty of women go to and graduate from med school, the problem for women is staying employed after graduating. The 60% figure is inaccurate. Women only made up a ma…

Those aren’t vanity qualifications. I already mentioned that’s largely due to home and family life. Women are a lot more likely to abandon their careers for the sake of raising families, and of those who do work, take care of far more housework in comparison to their male counterparts. Source. I said 36% of doctors are women, not 36% follow through. There’s no reliable way to predict which women will work long-term and which won’t, and since the majority do, (22.6% don’t work full-time six years…

36% of doctors in the US are women. It’s a lower figure than the men, but nobody who knew their shit would disregard the numbers by saying they all drop out of their fields and it’s a waste of time to educate them. That’s a lot of people to write off. You’re bugging. It’s notoriously difficult to return to the workforce after having children too. People of both genders want kids, but women give a lot more up to have them careerwise since they’re almost always the ones staying home to care for th…

She mentioned that she dated guys shorter than her before. You’re right about tall girls generally not wanting to date guys shorter than them though, but attraction is attraction. If they’re decent looking enough, they might find someone who fits. If their standards are unreasonable, it’ll eventually slap them in the face. Might be too late to settle down and have kids when it does, but it’ll happen

People don’t spontaneously like women, they spontaneously like good looking people, and act on it differently depending on gender. Easy access to extroverted social life is a lie. Girls are cliquey and brutal. Introversion in girls is endearing to GUYS. Other girls just see you as lame for it. You’re right about the jobs and social welfare. Western laws have become pretty misandrist.

It’s a fear thing. We give the number because we don’t know how the guy will react, no matter how cool he says he is with rejection. If you’re also with friends, most girls don’t want to embarrass you with a rejection and will also just give their contact info (the bitchy insecure ones will really rub it in, but others won’t). The first time I flat out rejected a guy (“Sorry, I have a boyfriend!”) he followed me. Never again.

It does. I agree on that, but instead of only making that point, she calls rape unimportant and dismisses it’s negative effects. Rape is bad, war and torture are much worse, but dismissing the effects of rape because of something that’s worse than it is wrong

This is more directed at people who show a lot of anger towards the opposite sex when they post and comment in the subreddit. I have to agree that in recent years, dating has been tougher for men for a lot of reasons related to women (women’s unrealistic expectations, third wave feminism, etc) and you’re right to point that out. It’s one thing to recognize that, but members dismissing half the population as bad and hating them because of their personal experiences is unreasonable

I see her point. Torture, by design, is made to make people feel pain as horribly as humanly possible. Rape is terrible, but torture was invented to make people feel terrible. However, her dismissal of rape as not important doesn’t sit well with me because it’s known to have really traumatic effects (some people even die because of getting brutally raped, but that’s not a really common occurrence. I’m mainly talking about social and psychological effects). If we’re comparing the two, torture is …

It doesn’t. When you take feelings out the the mix, all relationships are transactional. People are with people because they stand to benefit from those relationships. If someone doesn’t like you back and is with you, they’re using you for something (money, services, they’re a narcissist who wants to stroke their own ego, etc). Being used feels even worse than not being liked back imo, but that’s just a personal opinion

The average marriage age in America for women is 27.9 years. Average. 30 year old women are getting married. Maybe not late 30s, but early 30s is not uncommon at all. MGTOW, Redpill and FDS are a bubble. Most women are not so delusional as not to realize that their fertility is impacted by age, and those who want children will get married. They also realize the effects of age on attractiveness; just look at how huge the anti-aging market is. You’re talking about a select few women: those who toy…

People naturally inclined to cheat are only as faithful as their options. If infidelity isn't the issue, it's that relationships with insecure people don't last long. Good looking people either think they deserve better, or don't want to put up with jealousy from their partner (assuming the partner is unattractive). People who aren't good looking may leave a relationship to get rid of feelings of inferiority, or out of paranoia that their SO is cheating or looks down on them for being less attra…

I have to agree with 1 and 3, but 2 and 4 are assumptions. Sorry that I wasn’t clear about who I was talking about; women are more than capable of the same kind of behavior (we just have different preferences than men), and I’d argue it’s actually easier for women to entertain and get hung up on these wants in today’s age because of all the female empowerment/superiority messaging people throw around (beauty in all sizes, men are trash, etc) I also wasn’t all that clear on who I was referring to when I mentioned entitled people. You don’t have a solid picture of what women are like. I don’t know if you’re basing what you think of women’s propensity to become sex workers on the women you know or what you read on the internet, but the fact is this: most women aren’t comfortable with posting pornography online.
