Remind Yourself: How They Treat You in the End is All you Need to KnowYeah my wife of 16 years lost a bunch from GLP-1, then got a tummy tuck and went crazy. absolute train wreck— affair (possibly several), is a bit of a drunk now and pretty much would disappear every other weekend. Here’s the kicker, we have three kids… she used to be a really good mom. Bit of a jerk but I thought she was an amazing mom so I ignored it. Now I’m cohabitating and she spends most of her time in the bathroom drinking and dips on the weekends to do whatever the fuck she does. Doesn’t … | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/03/26 05:42 AM
Feels like a stab to the heart.This. I’m 45, STBX is 45 going through a full on midlife crisis, possible menopause and major identity collapse due to external stressors over the last couple years (not excusing or giving her any agency on the choices she made but giving context on the absolute mess that is the gray matter between her ears..) I ultimately said I want a divorce after finding cards and a gift from some dude but I am 100% certain this was not new. I’ve been seeing evidence for a while that was suggestive but she g… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/03/26 04:10 PM

Recently separated - Found an STD testing kit in out home. Not sure what state you’re in, but if you could build enough evidence, file for “fault” (for adultery). I’ve heard mixed on whether or not that helps with the financial beating most men take, but at least in my state that becomes public so the rest of the world can know what type of person she is. Also, anyone on here who’s got any experience with this? (Filing a “fault” divorce for adultery…) if any of what I am saying above is wrong, please correct me as I’m trying to get as smart as possible … | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/26 02:41 PM
Divorcing because of infidelity. But why do I forget that? This is quite true—something i learned in a long term relationship years back, which I use this, my motivation to have a similar “red-line” on cheating . Unfortunately, Im in a similar situation (uncovered emotional affair and fairly certain there was physicality)… wife played it all down, love-bombed, etc., and like an idiot, i tried to make it work. Ultimately im seeing evidence of all sorts of shyte going on 2 years later. (Hence why im lurking on here trying to best prepare for whats to come… | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/26 02:30 PM
She wanted to prove she could do it without me 🤣Sorry brother. It’s as if I’m reading another version of my own story. Currently married to a woman who is two years into a full blown mid-life crisis with no end in site. Her therapist is one of the chief agitators.. (hence why I am lurking on here while I work the nerve up to actually start the process of ending this)… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 01:06 PM
She wanted to prove she could do it without me 🤣How long were u married for? Trying to get a feel for how many years of “blood money” I may be on the hook for… I know states vary but just curious. I’m at 15 years, was the sole provider for 9 of them (technically I still am, as the little she makes she blows on trying to make herself look 10 years younger…) | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 01:03 PM
She wanted to prove she could do it without me 🤣Man, this was the post I needed to hear… I’m about to head down this path. Sad part is, I think I might end up better off financially as she pretty much takes every dollar we have (doesn’t already go to house, bills, etc.) and blows it on God knows what. Then she bribes our kids… it used to work, but I think at least two out of three of them see right through it. Good luck to you, brother and I hope 2026 is one of the best years you’ve had in a long time. Hoping my 2027 will be that way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/25 12:50 PM
