1	What sort of privilege men actually have? Different sexes bring different privileges in my opinion. When I’m walking home at night (in a sketchy area) I do worry for cars because tbh I am worried about getting shot or jumped. Idk if females worry about that as much. However, if I’m in a club or an alleyway I do not get worried, because I know no one is going to fuck with me (I am also 6’6” 240 so maybe that’s it’s own privilege). But what i found on her profile as a very first post there portray something else I think y’all would love shit I experienced at this school. I had 7 people die in 4 months (4 of them being friends that committed suicide, all men actually) and was straight up told “you don’t know what emotional pain is as a man, especially a straight white man”. The school already did not like the baseball team though because we had no women on it and no one was LGBT on it (this school was like radical “activist” culture). I think that the biggest part of attempts vs successful suicides is the way mental health is viewed between the two sexes. I feel like women are talk it out far more. I feel that their depressed moods have been addressed and talked about before an attempt at suicide is made. To me, toxic masculinity is basically when a man’s problems including: mental health, job prospects (such as the negative notion of men in nursing), and issues such as sexual assault, are undermined due to the idea that as a man, we MUST do manly things with our careers and actions, and act in the stereotyped “tough” way.
